  1. Been having a mouse running around my apartment the last month. The humane 'stick' traps the landlord was using were useless. Finally swapped them out yesterday with wooden spring traps. Result: wake up to one dead mouse. I feel bad for the little guy, but glad THAT's over with.

      The instructions that come with glue traps assume that you're going to tend to the trap pretty soon after you catch the little bugger. They usually come with instructions recommending that you take the trap outside and set the mouse free by sprinkling a few drops of vegetable oil on it. I've tried those plastic traps that just close up on 'em, but the mice I dealt with were too smart for those....somehow the food would always be gone but they'd never snap shut. Much as I hate...

      Why bother being humane to mice. There's bazillions of them, and the one you kill will be replaced by thousands more in a weeks time as they breed quickly year round. Just kill them. :P
