Just recovered from a NASTY virus on my PC. Was visting a quite safe US History site I go to now and then and somehow a Trojan made it through both my browser and MSE defenses and hijacked Windows, saying I had to pay $300 to get it back! Damn thing even pervented Safe Mode from booting. Luckily I had my Windows 7 CD handy, booted from that and was able to do a System Restore and get rid of it that way. Worst one I've seen in years.
