For over 10 years I've been buying items from ebay and other vendors from the USA on a regular basis and only had to pay customs charges/VAT on a handful of items - however, during the last six months it seems that everything over $25.00 now incurs charges - have I just been lucky in the past or have the UK customs changed their practices?? e.g. November 2011 bought $300 of software with no charges this end, just received a dust cover for my 800 (which I've ordered various items from the same supplier with no charges), valued at $28.00 - charged £8.00 Customs charge with £3.16 VAT!! Makes you think twice about that purchase, will have to factor this into future purchases...

Hi all, Just received my 800 from Jon complete with Incognito, a BIG thank you to all concerned for the hard work involved in this project! I have a query regarding the SIDE loader - I have a Transcend 1GB CF card, formatted FAT32 (it was in use with my old 65XE with built-in SIO2IDE) I have transferred some game .ATR's to the card and, after accessing the Incognito menu, I press CTRL-L to bring up the SIDE loader and I can see my files, no problem. However, after pressing return or fire to boot the selected title it always goes back to the self-test (or memo pad in Colleen mode) What am I doing wrong, guys? Cheers Dom

Actually got a decent holiday this year so will be splitting my time between the family and Ridiculous Reality, M.U.L.E. and Temple of Apshai. Hopefully my 800 complete with Incognito should be arriving before New Years Eve so that is something else to look forward to

Good luck to all who have 'invested' money here.... It was only through intense messaging and 'outing' here on threads that I got a refund. When I did post publicly on AA, some people rounded on me for 'getting on Sloopy's back, give him time'....how much time do you need???? At the end of the day, VBXE from this source will NEVER happen. (P.S. If anybody wants to stick up for Sloopy, prove your faith in him by refunding the people who want it or by producing a VBXE unit, after all 'he will come good' )
