Hi Sebastian, Package arrived safely, many thanks for your continued support for the Atari scene!

incognito boards run - gauge of intrest
beamer320i replied to candle's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
This is WAY too good to miss out on. Please count me in for one board, thanks. -
That's probably because they were common titles readily available from other sellers on ebay, etc. Now if you had Karateka, Summer Games, Choplifter!, etc etc sealed, that would have generated interest.
-
Great news! Your last SDrive project was faultless in many ways - product quality, constant updates, communication and shipping. Please count me in for one unit, thanks! Cheers, Dom

Hi Chris, looking for an update on VBXE please - current state of project, estimated shipping date, etc. Also, any news on shipping of last November's SIO-PC USB? (you promised to ship on April 20th?) Regards, Dom
-
Hi Sebastian, Many thanks for the update, much appreciated! Excuse my asking, but is it possible to install the 800 OS-B ROM as one of the 4 ROM's please? I use a lot of 'old' software and this would remove the need for a Translator and also allow me to run non-XL cartridges. If so, that would be really great! Cheers Dom
-
Any news on this yet? Also waiting for SIO2PC-USB from November (four promised dates so far for shipping) Thanks
-
Regarding the Atari side of things, would it not be better to finish outstanding projects and orders before starting other projects (SIDE, etc) For those of us who have not received anything after six months (and still without status update or ETA) to read posts of other projects, etc is a bit unnerving.

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate you have other things going on in your life just the same as I do. I just don't want you to get into the same situation as zaxon with people starting to get on your back with broken promises, etc. This will be the fourth time that the SIO2PC-USB will have been up for shipping... If you are having major problems that means that the VBXE project has stalled then please tell us. I accept that this is a hobby and a sideline for most of us, but when money changes hands ($200 in my case) a moral contract is made and communication needs to be kept open, even if deadlines aren't. I'm not being pushy, and I don't want a refund so please don't take my post the wrong way - it would just be nice to be kept informed

Hi Chris, Hope your car sorted now. Just looking for an update on this and also for mimo's and mine SIO2PC-USB from last November, thanks. Cheers Dom

Synapse Electronic Novels: Mindwheel, Essex and Brimstone
beamer320i replied to Gunstar's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Hi all, I've got a complete Essex in superb condition that I'm willing to part with - I'll post the photo's later. Nice package and very atmospheric in its execution. Cheers Dom -
SLIGHT improvement for me on HERO, 70,805

SDrive NUXX (100% compatable for me), SIO2SD, various 1050's (stock, Lazer, US Doubler and Happy) and 810! Even with all the latest drive options, I still use the 1050's on a regular basis as I still like to boot disks as I did nearly 30 years ago!

Wow, looks like I was wrong! Please accept my apologies, and congrats on finding/owning possibly one of the rarest 8bit carts ever!
-
It wasn't made in 1980. I may be wrong, but if it was a prototype it wouldn't have a 'proper' label, just a plain/white label? Besides, them in the know (Atarimania) have confirmed the serial/CXL number doesn't bear out.
-
It's a homebrew/fake, but a bloody good one! Great looking label, still nice to have.

FORT APOCALYPSE by Synapse Software, how rare is it?
beamer320i replied to qix_maniac's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
No worries, it's the same with the Shamus cart. SImply hold start when switching the machine on and it won't lock up! Agreed, thats a helluva price to pay for a cart (for me anyway - I thought I was mad paying $65 for a sealed Speedway Blast!) -

beamer320i replied to qix_maniac's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Perhaps you missed quote #8. It will work on SOME standard Atari XL machines. I know that becuase I have the carts and standard machines. True, it won't work on all XL machines, but, on some, it will. Reading quote #8 will help you find out if your machine will work with your Fort Apocalypse cart. -

beamer320i replied to qix_maniac's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
exactly 400/800 only! Hi all, Not necessarily the case in this instance - I have a couple of Fort Apocalypse carts and they will work on most XL/XE machines (depening on the motherboard revision, works on 9 of my XL machines bar one) by holding SELECT when booting the machine - this takes you straight into the options menu and then the game works as normal. Even pressing SYSTEM RESET works and will bring up the title page! Great game as well. Cheers Dom -
