  1. Can you see if you can do it again??? I am going to try doing that myself to see if I can get it to happen as well. -Disjaukifa
  2. Yeah it starts at x or y position of the atomic matter. I keep meaning to implement the diagonal, but it keep getting side tracked with doing other things to the game. I'm first going to implement that shrinking trick you showed me because it will reduce the size of the game . . . well drastically. I might even be able to fit it in 8k . . . . ehhh no its got to be 16k but ANYWAYS, I'm sidetracking myself. Tomorrows goals. -Implement new level shrinking -Implement diagonal crossfire -Implement an ending for Single Player (Maybe Two Player Coop if I can get around to it) Thanks Disjaukifa
  3. New personal best 3300!!!! Yesssss. Still not the best but I have yet to break 2000 and I got 3300!!!! I really like the HCS, its making the games way more fun!!! -Disjaukifa
  4. This is what I meant by rhythm in my previous post. Their rocks are dropped at a set interval. Just get the rhythm of moving toward them and throwing your rock, then running away when it is their turn to throw a rock. So the result is you moving back and forth to the rhythm of their rock throws. Easier said than done... Yeah no kidding, I have been trying to do that and now I just now die faster . . . . -Disjaukifa
  5. WONDERFUL. Again I really need to go back and figure out why I said that, I honestly can't remember. -Disjaukifa
  6. Hey Guys, No code update tonight. I am doing a somewhat major write of part of the game and this update is thanks to MausGames!!! I will have it implemented tomorrow morning or afternoon sometime. I will make for a much cleaner and SMALLER game, which is a plus on multiple fronts. Thanks again Mausgames!!! If anyone could also report any bugs you find please let me know so I can work on them and fix them!!! Thanks guys -Disjaukifa
  7. You have the base for a great game, but can you redo the sound? I have to be honest its . . . well intense to the point that I could only play it for a short time. Especially the first room, the tone just hurts the ears. I hope other will comment on this, it might just be me . . . . -Disjaukifa
  8. I would be interested purely in the just the hardware ie the jaguar, controls and the cd system. I've responded to your PM. -Disjaukifa
  9. Marriage is not perfect and its certainly not easy, but I love my son more than anything else. My wife and him have brought me more happiest than I could have ever known. That being said, we do have very different thoughts when it comes to money and if it weren't for my wife we wouldn't have any . I think my wife would do the same thing if I had bought something that expensive and had not asked her first. I'm sorry you have to sell it!!! -Disjaukifa
  10. Thanks for the advice I am going to have to try that later tonight!!! -Disjaukifa
  11. I haven't heard this stated before. How hard is the Melody to program? I have 2 games completed that I would happily put on the market in a limited run if I could. I don't know a lot about programming, and I know even less about hardware. I've considered getting an eprom programmer, but I decided it might be too big of a challenge for me and I didn't want to take a chance on it. I was under the impression that for programming the Melody it would be similar to programming the Kroc cart. Hook it up to a serial port (or in this case a USB) and then download the game. Am I wrong about that? To have my games published would be so cool, even if it were only 10 or 20 of them. Especially since I have never programmed in my life until I came to AtariAge. So would it be possible for someone like me to program Melody carts? Hey accousticguitar, I guess I shouldn't have said hard to program. The only reference I have heard about programming the Melody's that it requires its own hardware to program. Considering that Batari and several others made it so that Albert could more easily make and publish homebrews, I think it would be a very straight forward process. I would get this clarified from Batari or someone else that has been designing the Melody/Harmony cartridge. Also I need to go back a figure out why I said it would be hard to program because honestly I don't remember . Thanks Disjaukifa
  12. Hey Shadow460, I just fixed up my Q*Bert cartridge's label. It really bothered my that about 40% of the label was not attached to the cartridge. Well now its cleaned, the connectors have been really cleaned well and the label looks like it had never lifted off the cartridge. I highly recommend we contact a Mod and get Shadow460's post become a sticky for everyone to see. Thanks Disjaukifa
  13. You have 47 cars to restore? Where do you park them all? I just got back into the 2600 like 2 ~ 3 weeks ago, I got back into when I bought 2 Atari 2600 and several games at a yard sale. The were keep in the attic . . . of the garage. And I have bought some at the local flee market and that should tell you what kind of condition they are in as well. -Disjaukifa LOL. You still didn't catch it, you said 47 cars, not carts... as in vehicles... unless you have a 2600 powered car... now that would be cool HAHAHAHHA oops yeah I mean cartridges!!! -Disjaukifa

  15. Don't be. It happens way too often. I know and that makes me sad . -Disjaukifa
  16. I agree, it was one of the first things I searched for when I joined the sites and started looking at getting more cartridges. Great example, I bought two games today at the flea-market, Dig Dug and Yar's Revenge for 2 bucks total. They are disgusting and I wanted to know a good way of trying to restore them and that write up was the best example. I am going to be doing that to all 47 of my cars!!! Thanks again Disjaukifa
  17. That's the crap I am talking about. That looks so horrible, I'm surprised sellers can sell those carts . . . I'm surprised buyers are willing to pay for them. -Disjaukifa
  18. With your write up I think I can save most of the labels!!! I need to go to the store however and pick up some materials before I can start!!! Thanks again shadow260!!! -Disjaukifa
  19. I understand the difference between the Melody and the Harmony. My rant was strictly about the Melody. Well, I see your point, but I don't think you should have used that saying. It's just plain wrong. Honest people don't walk into houses with larcenous intent. The saying should be, "Why do you put locks on doors? To keep the lazy burglars out." -tet I'll agree with you about my saying about locked doors, that is a better version. I will say this, I didn't come up with that saying, its was I have heard several times from several people and it just stuck in my head. I guess I don't understand why you want the Melody to when we have the Harmony, the Melody is hard to program and can only hold one game when the Harmony is easier to put games on it and literally hold every simple Atari 2600 rom and 2600 Homebrews. -Disjaukifa
  20. Harmony is the developer's edition. The Melody cart was originally called Harmony and Harmony was originally called Harmony Developer's cart. Within weeks I could sense confusion as people started called the Developer's cart just Harmony, so that's when the names were changed. I tried to call what is now "Melody" and was originally just "Harmony" the "Standalone Harmony" but I felt that I would need to explain more what each was, and having distinct names was the best solution. Now there is just Melody and Harmony as far as hardware goes (there are the two Harmony editions but both use the same cart hardware, and the Deluxe edition just has extra accessories.) Does that make sense or does it just make it all more confusing? Who is on first? I think John Elway is on second . . . and I think Wayne Gretzky is on third . . . I'm so confused . . . -Disjaukifa
  21. I have this saying that I don't remember where I first heard it but I do believe in it . . . people grow old when they stop learning, if you want to stay young learn something new every day!! -Disjaukifa
  22. shadow460, Can I say THANK YOU for the great write on how you do it. I am going to be doing that to all my carts tonight and tomorrow. Thank you for taking to the time to write that up. I wonder if we could make that post a sticky as I am sure many of the people in this forum would benefit from this information. Thanks again shadow460 Disjaukifa
  23. HEYYYY . . . . its not anciet . . . . it just obsolete ! -Disjaukifa It is, the H6ers I have are ancient & obsolete but their also over 25 years old that makes them; antiques! And these are the reasons the VCS is so cool -enjoying electronic entertainment on such vintage equipment. That's why I don't enjoy Stella or emulation on the PC. I agree with you about Stella, its a wonderful piece of software however it can't touch the 2600 when it comes to playing games. -Disjaukifa
  24. HEYYYY . . . . its not anciet . . . . it just obsolete ! -Disjaukifa Hey.. its only obsolete if something better replaced it. And I dispute that! Touche!!!! I think you have a really good point in that statement!!! -Disjaukifa
  25. HEYYYY . . . . its not anciet . . . . it just obsolete ! -Disjaukifa
