  1. Its probably a mixture of license fees and technology required to make the cartridge. I don't have a clue what size the rom is or if it uses a Super-chip but that all adds to the cost as well.
  2. Hey Guys, I hacked Berzerk a while ago to make krezreB which is Berzerk but mirrored. Here is the binary for it. krezreB.bin Here is my original thread about the hack: krezreB I'm thinking about releasing it on a cartridge and would love to see some nice artwork done for it! If the hack is released, the winner of the contest will receive a free copy of the finished game. I would like the artwork and box to be similar to the original Berzerk game but inverted, meaning a Robot blowing away a human, but I would also like it mirrored as well, so instead of the robot being on the right like the human is, I'd like it on the left. Please post your concept art in this thread! Thanks Disjaukifa
  3. Hey Guys, I was eating lunch about 3 days ago and this game came into my head out of no where and I wrote it down in as much detail as I could remember. Here is what I had written down: The game is going to be called UV Eraser. You are the QCM (Quality Control Manager) at an EPROM manufacturing plant. Theres been a problem, after the EPROMs had been initially loaded with data to check that they could be written to correctly, however they weren't erased! Its your job to control the two UV light guns and erase the EPROMs going down the three conveyor belts before they get to their shipping boxes on the left hand side of the screen. As of right now I haven't done much of anything with it, this really is only a concept build, however you can switch between the two lasers and move them. UV_Eraser_Concept.a26 Though I haven't completely figured out all the mechanics of the game here is what I would like to accomplish: The game is going to end once all the boxes on the left have red EPROMs in them (red meaning data is on them). Each UV Gun can only cover two of the three conveyor belts forcing you to switch between the two UV light guns Each conveyor belt will have an independent increasing speed On easy you can reset a bad EPROM in a shipping box by clearing X amount of eproms Randomly generate when an EPROM starts down a conveyor belt I'd like to have a music track in this game, but this will be the last thing I work on Download the binary and let me know what you think! Thanks Disjaukifa
  4. Hey Random, I would buy a copy as well, you should consider releasing this game! I think it would be a hit!
  5. That's all inclusive. I'm sold! Put me down for at least 1!
  6. Amazing! Looking forward to the pre-order. Great job! Is the $75 for just the cartridge or for the cartridge, box and manual?
  7. Bought a copy of Candy Catchers from me and has been an awesome guy to chat with!
  8. YES! Draw a new design, send said design to Albert and he'll print you a new logo label to put on the front of the cartridge, done! . . . . Yeah its probably contained in the BIOS and I have no idea how to change that.
  9. Getting labels off of cartridges is a practice of extreme patience!

      Don't use silver labels. :P

  10. Hey Guys, I took the night off, didn't really getting anything done with Candy Catcher. I've order more PCBs, and EPROMs, and I'm about to order the new labels for the CIB version as well. I've updated my first post with renamed binaries, they are the same that are going on the cartridge, however I have also included a PAL version of the game. Thanks Disjaukifa
  11. I was just playing this, I almost beat the first level too! Great job! I look forward to seeing further development on this game!
  12. I can't speak for Ax, but crap happens, and this is Christmas, I don't see why not!
  13. Nice! I look foward to trying this out tonight when I get home!
  14. Almost got all of the Candy Catcher LE finished and shipped!

  15. Hey Curt, Are you still planning on designing and releasing a new cartridge shell? If so whats the time frame on it and what is the projected cost? THanks Disjaukifa
  16. I'm sure it has as well, but I'm just so tired of taking apart these cartridges, and I really think its not a terrible idea other, I have no idea how much it would cost, but I figure if we bulk ordered them from China, we could attempt to keep the cost low.
  17. Hey Guys, So far the most annoying part for me on releasing a homebrew has been finds, disassembling, and cleaning 2600 cartridges for homebrew game. Its been the slowest process in the world (unless of course you can find the pack in combat cartridge which was that freaking wonderful plastic label that comes off in one go). I wonder how difficult would it be to create a Homebrew 2600 Cartridge Shell and how much would it cost? Thoughts? Ideas? Somehow I think Curt is going to be mentioned somewhere in this discussion! -Disjaukifa
  18. I've been parts from CPUWIZ to the point that I think I ran him completely out of EPROMs and I think he's having to re-stock some PCBs and Inverters as well because of me. FANTASTIC guy to work with, I wish more people did business like CPUWIZ!
  19. Bought a copy of my Candy Catcher Limited Edition from me, great guy to talk to, and even better to do business with! Thanks!
  20. Dude you completely stole that! Great find and great deal! Congratulations!
  21. Hey Guys, I've got a ton of the LE version boxed and shipped, still waiting to hear back from a couple of you on a view things and still waiting to for payment from a couple of others. Please check you PMs when you get a chance! Thanks Disjaukifa
  22. I was out of video games for about 3 years because of the birth of two of my children, did something happen to make Walter leave?
  23. Quirky game but I like it, took me a little bit to completely understand what you were talking about!
  24. That was one of the ways I tested my game idea, I watched to see if it held my two year olds attention! I'm glad it got there safe and sound! Let me know what you think when you get a chance to play it! Wow thank you for reviewing the game! Like I've said, I made this game for the community to enjoy, and I've been so excited to see all the comments of people that liked my game! Truly has been an amazing experience! I've always wanted to designed and publish a video game, even it meant only selling 1 copy to somebody, that was one of my goals in life, but for this game I just wanted to make a game that the community could enjoy! I've sent you a PM as well! UPDATE I've sold all the copies that I have parts to make at this point in time. I've created a wait list so if you ware interested please let me know if you want the CIB or just a loose copy which will use the label from the CIB version. The reason for this is its cheaper if I buy parts in bulk, much cheaper actually so in order for me to keep the cost low, I need to have X amount of people signed up before I'll do a run! It will be easier to do a run of a loose cartridge than a CIB version, however with enough people both is doable! Thank you so much everyone! Disjaukifa
