The motor and eye is the same in each style ps1 you just have to carefully change the plastic case around the unit to make it fit from 1 to the other. I've done this many times.

Yes that is the site I'm using for reference. A usb cable would be nice. I was going to get an older computer with a parallel port but if I could use usb it would be better. Maybe I could get pinout info for the usb and parallel port and craft my own. I'm guessing that I would need drivers though but I have some crafty friends when it comes to software.

I am getting ready to build a development system with one of my 7800's. I am wondering if there are any advantages or disadvantages with using one style 7800 over another?

I just got a 4 port without the rf box and am wondering if my 5200 could be modified to use a regular rf and add a power jack to the console? I'm going to split the case and have a look later.

my 7800 has a worn plastic shaft on the reset button so I removed the button itself and use a tooth pick to hit the button. still need to get a new button as the way its set up is a pain. The shaft will wear at an angle if you don't press it in the center every time.

I'm building a 48k ram cart for use with a 7800 dev. system. I'm using a Hat trick cart. My question is weather this ram chip and capacitor will work? If not what do I need and where can I get them? Thank youhttp://cgi.ebay.com/0-1-uF-50V-Axial-lead-X7R-Ceramic-Capacitors-100-pcs_W0QQitemZ180434359919QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2a02b9d66f http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330295275302&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/0-1-uF-50V-Axial-lead-X7R-Ceramic-Capacitors-100-pcs_W0QQitemZ180434359919QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2a02b9d66f

Early models of the 7800 had a port on the side for the "planned but canned" LaserDisc add on. Interesting - I've never heard of this... Here is a pic. of my 84 7800 upside down left hand side

I guess I would pay 200 for one.

Hehe no. I have a collection of consoles I am rebuilding from ones I've owned in my childhood (Hence Sears VA 2 insrtead of a Flashback2 or Heavy Sixer). And that doesn't have a power supply... Yet. As someone requested of me in private. Here is the switcher. (Yeah, the desktop power station is rusted a bit.. But it's saved my equipment from lightning so much and is the most reliable bit of kit on this old system. It's like a lucky charm.) I just scored one of those on ebay but it hasn't got here yet. Yours looks nicer though -
Sweet got my Medieval Mayhem in mail today. Shipping is speedy from the store keep up the good work.

You won't be disappointed with Medieval Mayhem, especially if you already enjoy Warlords. Just make sure you have some jitter-free paddles ready! ..Al Saw a post on this site with a video of four guys playing it and knew I had to have it. kept looking for it till the store came back on line then it was like xmas in november. I'll be getting more from there for sure. I love exclusive offers and it looks like most if not all stock is.

Nice starter pack. I'll let a few friends know. -
Awesome this is my first look at the store and I like it. To bad I spent so much on Ebay yesterday and today. Well there's always next week. Guess I should celebrate with a few brews and a 420 break. Keep up the good work. Oh are any of the home brews a limited release? Haven't kept up on the home brews.

That is sweet. Here's my latest and rarest game http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130338545681&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT Not sure what it is worth but I'm happy and I guess that's what matters. My parents now think I'm nuts but oh well it's a rarity 9 hope it works well when it gets here lol.

If there's a few of these floating around sealed for that price or even a bit higher I'd bite Quick as I'd have no intension to ever open them. Well maybe if I got two the same but the one I opened would be more of a curiosity than to play it.
