Hey, you still don't have a Sega CD?
chriswhit replied to Rev. Rob's topic in Classic Console Discussion
If your new 1 ever quits its probably a fuse in the system or the eye in the cd drive could be dirty -
I built this I know its not exactly what your looking for but it beats spending 300 or more to invent an adaptor. I can build you some if you like. the controller extensions I use are $8.95 then I put in two resistors and modify the original board in the nes controllers. Good controllers run me about $10.00 could sell you one for $35.00 shipped. Or I'll be a nice guy and give you a link to the mod and you can build it your self but that route you wont have the sticker to easily pick out your atari 7800 controller from the others. I can build them fast so you wont wait long for them. PM if interested. I can also build with new controllers but it would run about $10.00 more

That would be interesting to see!!! I have two Tac-2 and a Starfighter coming in the mail. I have one stardard CX-40 and a Wico stick and I'm ok with the CX-40 and I don't like the feel of the Wico. I'll let you know my opinions about the Tac-2 and the Starfighter once I get them. Probably going to sell the Wico in the Marketplace forums later this afternoon. -Disjaukifa heres my 2600 and 7800 hack works awesome for packman. extremely responsive its a must have

I just got one a month ago and love it. I got the first style to go with my gen 1 genesis. It also came with a 32x adapter which has no cords so I can't use the 32x till I figure out what I need and where to get it. -
sweet that will do fine for what i want. thank you

I need a flat label scan so I can print it. I've been looking for days with no luck. I don't want to resell but want it to look good.
-
Where do I find label scans? I have Frogger 2 Three deep with no label along with a few others. thanks guys

What is the going rate for a fully functional 5200 4 port system?
-
Does the 5200 2port and 4 port systems use the same rf and power adapter? How hard are they to get. thanks

I have a chance to get a few 5200's but their broken. if they were the 2600 this wouldn't be a problem for me. I don't know whats wrong with them yet but whats the chance of getting one that cant be fixed for a reasonable price? What usually goes in the consoles? thanks

I keep trying to get a 5200 on ebay but always get out bid. Most people who buy on ebay look at feed back scores before buying. With me the seller needs to have a large volume of sales and a 99% or higher feed back score or I wont even consider a purchase no matter how good of a deal there offering. In the beginning I did and got burned a few times. I saw a few 5200's like your talking about but if my memory serves me correctly they were ether untested or had components missing such as power supply and or controllers. one of them had a lower feed back score. If an auction says its untested and your item does not work you can't really give bad feed back because they never claimed that it worked in the first place. I've seen 5200 auctions go for 75ish plus shipping (some times even more) complete with 8 to 10 games they were tested though which attracts more bidders. You could wait till november then put it up on ebay when people are xmas shopping with a reserve price. If you have a lot of games with it and can test it I bet you'll be surprised what you'd get. Ebay is hit or miss though that's why they let you put a reserve price. In my opinion the first week of November is the best time to sell there if you decide to. Your feed back score could even be a bit low in the month of november and it probably won't matter that much bet they will be harder to get. I'm going to put a sears heavy 6ers up then and see what happens. I hope none of my post sounds rude to anyone. If a feed back score is low before ruling out the seller read their negative feed backs as some buyers are unreasonable or hard to please.

Where did you get that sweet looking unit and Does it work with a 7800 to? Ether way I'd love to have one. Very nice

Post 34 has info on making it work with 7800 works beautiful on mine
-
I think that's just a ferrite bead. When I built my arcade 7800 sticks I didn't bother to include one. You just need the resistors wired up to the fire buttons correctly and everything should be easy. Mitch Thank you for the info

I see on ebay that theres a bunch of Frogger Three deep carts but they all say there for the Coleco vision. To me they look like a standard Parker Brothers 2600 cart. What do you guys think? I just got a coleco but don't know anything about them and would rather have a 2600 version. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250501893528&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300349893219&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I like this modded supercharger. I think It was your post that I used to mod mine. I hope you don't mind. I don't plan on doing the mod for anyone else so if you sell your mods I'm not a threat. Just like to make my experience the best I can. Do you know anything about the harmony cart and when it is available? About 2 weeks ago I sent an email for the preorder but haven't heard back. I noticed a thread that is for people that got one already. Thanks for your help it is greatly appreciated.

I sent an email for the Harmany cart preorder list about 2weeks ago but haven't got a response yet. do you know when they will be available? I have a friend that does home brews for atari and nes so I need two. Told him about this site hoping he will join. Some of his home brews are sweet. I wish the Harmony was capable of running 7800 games is there any hardware that does work with 7800 games. I have an eprom burner but have never used it because I don't know what to use for carts and I don't have many doubles. Think I will give the burner to my friend that does home brews. I did get my supercharger to work on my 7800. I had a new cord that was defective. My 7800 is the first style made in 84. I don't know if that's good or bad.

I'm using a home made controller with arcade parts. I used 2 620 ohm resisters but noticed stock controllers have a black item that looks similar to a resister on the ground wire and I don't know what it is though. come to think of it the new controller is what I've been using while experiencing this issue. Another issue I just noticed in 7800 ms packman when I get to a corner ms packman freezes for a second which is annoying. I don't have the issue with any of the 2600 versions with the same system and controller. Is that normal in the 7800 version?

Finally found the link for the nes controller hack I did here it is http://www.geocities.com/gjp57/nes-7800.txt

I'm ready to build and am going to use wood. My friend lent me a controller to look at the printed circut board and upon taking it apart I noticed that there was one other component I don't have. there is a black item that looks a lot like a resistor but I think its something else. I was wondering what it was and is it is a mandatory part?
