    Had an amazing idea for a unique thread. What if Atari actually DID get the exclusive rights to the NES? I bet nobody's thought of THAT deep question before!

      The Big N would still call all the shots as far as manufacturing & games go, with Atari only acting as distributors.  I could see Nintendo buying Atari from Warner...

       

      Fun Fact: Worlds of Wonder, who sold the NES across the States before being going out of business, was made up of former Atari employees.
