I'll fess up, it was mine. I wasn't motivated by money though (frankly I don't track that stuff anyway), so I don't really care what it went for, which is why the original bid was $50 (as I think that's what I paid BITD?) To be candid I haven't followed most of this stuff for 10 years, so I wasn't even aware there was a potential timing issue with respect to availability (and to be honest I'm glad this great game IS available again!), not that it would have mattered anyway. This stuff is literally just "I went through boxes in my garage and am throwing stuff up there / here whenever I find it" tactics.
I'm just getting out of the hobby and trying to get rid of all my stuff. (and yes, that probably means hitting the ol' dusty trail with respect to AA once again). Congrats to the buyer (who I'll not reveal), they got a good deal.

Days since counter has been reset to 0 in which every trope has been used. Quitting Youtube, Cindy Margolis, behind on bills, selling consoles. Bravo.
I especially love that half of it is lies by omission and fails to recognize that the "financial crisis" and Beetle problems were REPEATEDLY given assistance (including by myself, much to my chagrin for being a sucker) via monetary gifts and attempts to help, yet resulted only in buying more cheap crap and then getting further and further in debt.
I say this with little care anymore if I get censured or chastised. Speaking as one of a long line of people who tried to help and only saw our assistance lead to nothing, result in the purchase of more toys (or even worse, to be openly rebuffed because it wasn't "good enough" such as demanding a HOTEL ROOM to sleep in instead of couch surfing or using a guest bedroom while the Beetle was getting repaired FOR FREE), AS MUCH AS THE COMPLAINING ABOUT MONEY OCCURS, AS MUCH AS YOUR SYMPATHY OR HEARTSTRINGS ARE PULLED, DO NOT PROVIDE "HELP." IT WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE. IT WILL NOT BE USED FOR THE INTENDED PURPOSE. THIS HAS BEEN PROVEN TO THE TUNE OF OVER $2500 AT THIS POINT.
That's all. I'm done being off topic about this and I'm done with this particular individual. This has gotten beyond ridiculous and every AA user should be aware of the grift alert. I just hope this doesn't get deleted alongside all the other off topic posts when a mod cleans this dumpster fire up (inevitably), because I think it's becoming a serious issue and is vitally important that users on this site be aware that this is going on, lest a fool and their money be parted by manipulation.

Sigh... guess I'll have to settle with adequate electronics then.
You only get Awful Electronics, made in Netherland. They're awful because their schematics consist entirely of dead punctuation.

If I recall, several people throughout the years have offered to help, whether it be help Brad update the site, create an automated store process, or just help fill orders. At least a portion of those people volunteered with no expectation of payment or discount, and just wanted the experience of seeing it all.
Brad turned them all down, if I remember, stating that he can't trust anyone else to do it. (Which, fair enough, it's his stuff, after all.)

I always thought there was something, and if I remember it might have been lushgirl's show that brought it up, about how the systems were always behind the times a bit (like they'd have been clearance at the time they showed up) as a slight but cheeky way, like the other set pieces, of indicating that the Bundy household wasn't well off.

The cabinet looks like a repurposed video poker machine, or one of those tabletop bar machines that they've tinkered with to make look more like a cabaret.

What If Atari Sold the NES Instead of Nintendo
Holy crap, can you imagine if Brad had a giant listing and a cornered market on NES parts as well? WHOA, IT'S LIKE A CROSSOVER

I remember seeing it, but I never played it. All my quarters went into "Crabs."

Price added. TBH I have no clue. Item will be changing this weekend and it goes up on the evil auction website.
EDIT: OFF TO EVIL AUCTION LAND IT GOES. FLIP R'CADE GAMES ADDED.

So you could say that the real personal net worth was the friends we made along the way.

Remember that they can only produce a console if Soulja Boy approves, since he owns Atari now.

Don't want to be rude, but I'd like to know what you would expect from a Playmobil game. Just curious™️. 🙂
A lot of things can be (and has been) done with LEGO, but I can't imagine anything remotely interesting with Playmobil except derivative stuff (kart game and Co). Then again I'm no industry legend™️... 😔
As a real answer, something similar to what they've already done on the DS. They're just fun, goofy little kid-style games that are great for the whole family, i.e. precisely the demographic TT was pretending to want.

Dibs on the atari 2600 lampshade!!
I actually don't have ANY of that stuff anymore! I kept my Atari 800 lamp for like the...last 3 moves? Then it ended up getting given away or something? I can't remember but I know I got rid of everything in connection with that stuff already!

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm posting the rarest/most interesting first, and I only have like....2 of those things, so any excitement should probably be couched.

Thanks! I think we all sort of reach that point where we look around and go "yeah....this stuff is just stuff." It's great stuff, but it's just been sitting and gathering dust in various boxes for at least 3-5 years now and it's just....why keep it? Unless there's a legitimate memory behind it, it's just not worth it anymore. Might as well pass it along to those who will appreciate it (or at least delay the inevitable antique store stall for a while and make it someone else's problem!).

I plan on just hanging out in the bathroom.
(But really though, I'd love to go. I'll be talking to the wife about a trip back home - she's from Portland - so I might be there for the first time in like....12 years!)

I'm all for it. The clowns who hoard these games and sell them for 10x, despite the free market, are obnoxious and, IMO, deserve to have their values of their stuff tank!
