  1. This thing is just sitting on my shelf; I got it with my Casemaker case and to be honest the Indus GT in the case is much, much cooler to me so I might as well get some extra space by selling this little disk drive. It's a boxed Rana Systems 1000 drive; unfortunately it does not have the power adapter/cord for it. I plug it in with the Indus GT plug and it has no problems, so it seems it's a pretty standard AC out. Anyway, I fiddled around with it a bit (I don't use it) and it works great. Popped in a couple disks and it had no problems whatsoever. The box is in good shape all things considered and the drive is clean and pretty! Looks almost new, to be honest. It doesn't surprise me since it came with all that extra stuff that someone clearly took really great care of. Make me an offer on this little drive and we'll take it from there, or else it's ePay bound.
  2. Bridging connections works like a charm. It's a cakewalk and unless you have some funky router settings, it'll work first go. Mine is currently hooked into my netbook via an Ethernet cable and all I did was bridge, turn on both, and wham-bam-thankyouma'am.
  3. The size of the programming would be the only issue for It-lympics, I think. It seems like it would be relatively easy to implement a 'select game' code where each one is a different game, like 1 is miss-it, 2 is escape-it and 3 is chase-it. Maybe 1-2-3-4-5-6 for 1/2 player modes or something. That would be super awesome
  4. To everyone who mentioned Yoomp! - Thanks! That is such a great little game! WAY hard and really addictive! Will be playing this a lot in the coming days!
  5. Haha! "It"-lympics! I love it! That would be really cool and would definitely cause me to buy one, not that I wouldn't already. Miss it is a cool little game!
  6. It works brilliantly, actually. The disks link up and it's just a simple matter of pressing a function key and then 1-2-3-4 depending on which disk image you need. It supports up to 4 only, though, IIRC. I haven't used it much, but for the few times I have used it so far it's worked flawlessly.
  7. So I've been tinkering around with my Atarimax USB Multicart and I absolutely love it, but I'm completely and utterly SWAMPED at the amount of software for these systems. It's so awesome that there are SO many games out there, it's going to take forever for me to get through them all! Just browsing through Atarimania (many thanks for that awesome, awesome site Rom Hunter) makes my head spin there's so much cool stuff! So my question is: What games are your favorites for the A8 computers? I'm using it on a 130XE so no worries about compatibility. What games absolutely positively MUST I play and play a ton of? What are your top 10 or so, I guess? Just give me suggestions!
  8. I, of course, would be purchasing one of these immediately.
  9. I love that in the comments everyone is criticizing the design for all of these things, as if we had the comprehension of 2009's design technology thirty years ago.
  10. This reminds me, not to be off-topic, I have some chatting at vintage-computer I need to do! I haven't been there in ages,
  11. Would you be interested in....dun dun dunnnn.....a trade or partial trade, perchance?
  12. I have a PSX sitting gathering dust in my closet, IIRC. Would you be interested in it? EDIT: I have to find it, though. I bought it a while back and it worked great, it's just hidden somewhere now. EDIT2: Woohoo! I found it! It was just sitting in the office. It's in really great shape and I've got a couple controllers if I can find them. As of this second I don't know where the AV cord or the power cord went, but I know they're in a box near it, so I have them. Let me know!
  13. If two people hold the thong for you maybe you can jump into it from the top of the wardrobe? But what happens if both legs get stuck in a single leg-hole? Disaster could strike.
  14. That's really cool Groovy! Good to know that someone is really trying to help out the world by providing an option to third world kids!
  15. Well, next Thursday is fajita night, and with all this Christmas gift buying I'm out of cash.....you know how it is....
  16. Having never had an A8 until recently, I must say I was surprised to learn this! Virii for PC, sure, and for Commodore, you bet, but I didn't think Atari was a big enough market to warrant messing around with the systems in this way.
  17. I'd buy either of those, but I better get that special edition with Preparation H since it was my idea! Hahahaha!
  18. Actually, now that I think about it, didn't he mention something in another thread about having some personal issues that he had to take care of? A family emergency of some sort if I remember right.
  19. Chicky should make an "Extra Limited Edition" featuring the panties twisted into a knot with a version of 'I Want My Mommy' and package it with No More Tears shampoo. Of course, you won't actually REQUEST these editions, she'll decide who she mails them to....one extra AMAZING customer will also get included in the box a tube of Preparation H to help with that horrible, horrible butthurt feeling.
  20. I have a great idea! Shawn Sr. should re-make Eli's Ladder as the next one to appease all the folks in this thread! Do it Shawn! EDIT: Wait, that game wasn't actually religious, though it sounded like it. DAMN, joke ruined. I intend on having all sorts of fun with my panties. Maybe I'll wear them on my head. Maybe I'll make a cool slingshot out of them and run around Mayberry shooting Barney Fife in the butt! Maybe I'll hang them from my Christmas tree. Who knows? With underwear the possibilities are ENDLESS!
  21. Maybe THAT'S why CPU knew about this early..... 'product testing'. Oh, and maybe he played the game on the custom cart too, you never know.
  22. Hahahaha! My wife won't care, I'll just tell her it's "collecting" some stuff from AtariAge. She'll actually probably find it funny.
