  1. Did any of you really need to think which cart I would pick?
  2. Hahaha! Earmuffs throughout the house!
  3. I'm willing to part with mine. if you have a Ferrari you're willing to buy me
  4. What's that? You got a problem with apes and monkeys? Why I oughtta..... Feepay's customer service department seems really to have been...lacking...as of late. They've failed to respond to 2-3 of my e-mails and it's been a couple weeks. That's what you get for $.10 listings, I guess, though.
  5. Really, really cool! I don't have an Odyssey though
  6. Well, the free market point is a fair point, which sort of ties into my "Caveat Emptor" comment. The buyer will pay what the buyer is willing to pay, and if the market sets the price, then that's the price. If you're not willing to pay to play, don't buy.
  7. Item has sold to Kurisu, thanks for looking everyone
  8. What work needs done on the Jag? If I win I definitely want it. EDIT: Wait, perhaps I should say WHEN I win.
  9. Thanks! Basically you just "want" what you don't already "have". Heh heh, same as me! I'll take a look at the lists and see what I can offer, though it looks like your collection is 4x the size of mine.
  10. Haha, great stories! I was always a "goody two shoes" and refused to do any wardialing. Some friends of mine did it all the time, I was the "fence" and would get all their warez/gamez on 5.25" and copy and distribute amongst the group. I remember when Apogee had first set up their BBS and there were huge loopholes in their system. They ended up getting just about all the full versions of their "shareware" software at the time, which was really cool -- Monster Bash, Commander Keen, etc... The only BBS I actually used on my own was a 'teen chat group' local to the area. Mostly it was used to talk about who would supply the booze, whose parents would be out of town for the weekend for free house, etc. Good times!
  11. You can use a normal keyboard controller, yes. But without a keyboard or touchpad you'll just be dying very quickly.
  12. What? Never! Brazil will trump all takers!
  13. Or not-so-discreet, you know, whatever. River Raid 2 would be good but I don't have $$$$....
  14. A note to everyone: Buy this fun little holiday game! I got mine a while back and have been playing it quite a bit, it's just that right mix of quirky fun to keep you playing for hours!
  15. I haven't used my Intellivision much, but I don't really know if I like the controllers yet. I can't wrap my head around it! I keep grabbing for a joystick that isn't there (pre-emptively saying 'hardy har har' to all you sick-minded people out there).
  16. The best thing for it is to chuck it in the garbage now, as that's about all the good you get out of it. I just can't get around the 5200, for whatever reason I'm biased against it. The thing is huge, bulky, ugly, and has broken controllers to boot. As you already mentioned, everything that is on the system is already an 8bit game, and the 8bit systems manage to have games that feel more 'complete' than the 5200 does. Shadow posted a really great blog a few days back that summed up my opinion entirely: The 5200 is just a dumbed-down 8bit computer, and I think Atari would have been better off just marketing the 8bits further and getting that product in everyone's home. Then again I absolutely LOVE my 8bit computers and am really biased because I experienced the 5200 BEFORE the 8bit computers, so I see the 8bits as the huge improvement they really are. That's just my opinion on it, though. There's tons of 'pro's for the 5200 to outweigh the 'con's in someone's mind, just not in mine.
  17. Well, to me it almost seems to be a guarantee that if the person is being deflective about answering questions or has provided grainy, low-focus photos, they likely know that what they have is worth nowhere near what their asking price is, and is purposely being evasive in an attempt to bilk some fools. I can't be hypocritical and say that I haven't taken advantage of some eBay newbies, but fro my perspective it's also the buyer's fault. Caveat emptor is just as applicable as it was in the Roman days. If you're bidding $200 on something, it better be worth that $200, because at the end of the day you'll be paying $200 for something. I've been known to do that in the past. I paid $250 for a Supercharger on eBay because, well, I had been drinking and was too stupid to realize the value of what I was bidding on. You have to remember that auctions have that 'gambling' feeling to them, as well. People get caught up in the moment and ABSOLUTELY JUST HAVE TO WIN THE AUCTION, and they tend to forget how much something is actually worth. CL is just stupid, though. That's people who don't know better. eBay I cut a little more slack for.
  18. Do you have a want list or something we can peruse to see? I'd love to trade for some of those games!
  19. $4.50-$5.00 shipped? I'm all over it! ....oh, wait, decimal place difference. Good luck! I'd buy it if I could get the scratch together but it's Christmas gift time and that unfortunately does not include gifts to myself.
  20. Thirding the CycloDS solution. It's really the best way to travel.
