  1. Count me in for an undisclosed cart as of yet. I'm still thinking about what I can do. CRAP! Someone already took Haunted House! Let me check the collection again. MINIATURE GOLF! I CALL MINI GOLF! EDIT: For the record what kind of paper do we buy to print on? Are there Avery labels of some specific size I can buy or something?
  2. I'd have to say it would be a +1 to both in my boat considering homer's point. In my lifetime I've probably played both equally and enjoy both equally. Midnight Magic is so much more refined, but Video Pinball has that frantic fast-action addictiveness that keeps you playing.
  3. Ironically enough I figured those would either A) be the first two snapped up or B) be the only two to actually go. I have another lot coming in on Monday, I think that's got a grouping of R5-R6 carts in it, will be posting when I get it.
  4. I have approx 45 carts in my 'Monkey See Monkey Do' sharing thread that I'm more than willing to trade for. Not all of them meet your criteria but let me know if you're interested.Sharing thread
  5. No problem! I needed it when I got my first lot of 100+ carts when I barely started collecting. It was just easier to check the box in the 'Owned' slot rather than making a list.
  6. Here's one I made and posted on the rarity guide forum. It's got every piece of info but is alphabetically sorted; it's based on the AA.com website. It might not be exactly what you're looking for but it's got what you need. Every NTSC Atari 2600 Game.xls
  7. My OpenOffice document is apparently vomiting all sorts of weird characters, so I exported it to a PDF if anyone needs it. CebusCapucinis 2600 Want List.pdf
  8. Theoretically if the VCS is too narrow for the width of the letter opener you could always measure the total difference in width and then cut that difference out from the center. Say if it's 1" just make a 1" slice out of the middle, then glue the two new halves together to make it fit. It wouldn't be really noticeable since it's exactly in the center and you wouldn't be looking for cracks in the letter holder anyway.
  9. Monkey See, Monkey Do sharing 2 is over with! Time for the fleabay auctions. Sorry if you were interested but TOO SLOW JOE! CebusCapucinis 2600 Want List.xls
  10. I can certainly tell you what you're NOT doing, and that's telling us what it is!
  11. YES! I can see that! At least a face of some sort!
  12. 2600 PC, more than likely. You're trying to see if you can fit a mobo and everything in it.
  13. This is awesome! This will make a great matching pair for the ColecoVision Stalin handed out in the defense of Stalingrad. BIDDING NOW!
  14. Dude, you guys, like chill out okay, dudes?
  15. I'm just poking in good fun, please everyone don't get offended or upset.
  16. Gee, I wonder if anyone has made a mod like that? Maybe they'd post in an AtariAge thread about it! Nah...that's just a pipe dream.
  17. The monkey weighs in at: 229,700 My Tip: This may seem pretty obvious, but a lot of time in this game is wasted when you don't wrap your head around the control scheme. Quadrant off the joystick when you play and consider each quadrant of the joystick the respective quadrant in the screen, rather than directional concentration. Your ship will almost always move to the quadrant your joystick points at with very, very few exceptions. Also remember that each "wave" of baddies you kill gives you an additional 1,000 points. You should strive to kill as many complete waves as possible, as this is how the points rack up really quickly.
  18. You should write up what you did. Yes, and then you should send a bunch of memos to yourself in intricate detail about every single step you take including breathing and thinking so that years from now when someone asks about it for the billionth time you can show them "the complete story".
  19. You have to remember, however, that the majority of the userbase for vintage and collector electronics like the VCS, ColecoVision, Intellivision, etc. is primarily interested in it for nostalgia purposes. Original homebrews do not reinforce that nostalgic feeling as much as popping in a homebrew of a remembered arcade game from the era, even if it were never on the system to begin with. I think it basically boils down to demand. People generally demand ports of arcade classics for the aforementioned reason and others. Homebrewers thus have more incentive to develop these titles rather than work on an original title. I agree with you on quite a bit of this. The original homebrews are just as cool if not better in some ways. I'm currently chomping away at Mean Santa and that game is both original and incredibly addicting. We need ports to help with that nostalgia and garner excitement, but we also need those originals to push the envelope and see what can be done. One really can't exist without the other, and a balance of both is optimal.
  20. Got my game today, can't wait to pop it in! Awesome!
  21. Jay sent me an Atari Portfolio and a free 1040STf! Can't beat free! The Portfolio works beautifully and two thumbs up are very much so needed for Jay!
