  1. Even cooler! You can make this little old lady happy by having her know that her auction went to someone who will keep it and take care of it rather than some dirty reseller that will just take advantage of her not knowing! Truly awesome!
  2. My dad used to listen to the original LPs all the time with me when I was a kid....very good stuff! I wish they would make more creative rock operas like that these days. I used to sit around for hours just staring at the album art and scaring myself while listening to 'ULLLLLAAAA!'
  3. WHAT? I thought I was the only person who bought that game! Such a great game!
  4. Bah, I would have just thrown the box in the garbage dumpster.
  5. Come to CGE w/ Al and you can hang out in my new house! EDITED for better pictures! I figured how to get that stupid blue shift fixed on the camera. There's some buttons but it's this whole convoluted stupid little menu you have to 'click through' on the little 4 arrow keys near the screen. Very strange setup. The buttons don't actually lead you to light settings, you have to go into 'normal picture mode' and then push on the 'menu' button and then scroll down two settings, then there's stuff like "Baby" and "Pet".... Oh well, I found 'Scenery' and that worked I'm too lazy to edit the living room ones, just pretend everything is light eggshell blue I guess.
  6. What are you talking about? The air around here is just more blue! I seriously do need to take the time to mess around with color levels on this camera. I pretty much just use it on 'auto settings' most of the time and it's supposed to automatically adjust, but I don't think it works very well. It's a Panasonic DMC-LZ7 and supposedly it has all sorts of cool features that I never touch. I'm at least getting better at making things look not so "earthquakey" and blurry, so that's something!
  7. Maybe we AAers can help you get it!!! We have some Aus AA folk that might be willing to lend a hand!
  8. The Monkey Hut was re-vamped and a lot of my collection has changed so I wanted to get it all in one place and just update as time goes on, rather than keep making threads of new stuff...this is my collection so far! First up is the office for my computers! I'll soon be getting some more but for now it works. I'll need to rearrange my desk for more space very soon! I have the PCjr set up on the right side with the stack of CIB and cool PCjr stuff I got and my CIB A8 games w/ CIB Lynx stuff. Then the 130XE w/ disk drives and loose carts/tapes/disks, then of course the Windoze PC for goofing around. Next to it is the 'project' stuff like the 2600s that I need to goof around with and the 1040STfm on the bottom I got from Jay quite a while back. I still haven't gotten around to testing it and working with the yellowing like I intended on, keep getting sidetracked! In the closet is my Casemaker Atari 400 case (one of my best collection items IMO) and boxes for various computers, along with a non-working project VIC-20. The top of the closet is for 'trade goods' and sales stuff, doubles of INTV titles mostly. Of course sitting on my desk is the Ronald Reagan picture in my avatar. I keep it to remind myself that we can't go around taking life so seriously all the time! If we live in a world where someone can get a picture with a chimpanzee and then become president of the USA, we should all be able to laugh at stuff! Next to the office is the projector room! Of most importance in here is ATARI COCKTAIL LOUNGE in the corner, where my Atari Table and Atari Lamp reside, which currently have my Lynx and NGPC on them. This is where we do all of our 'modern' stuff like playing the Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, or just watch movies. In the closet is my stack o' project PCjrs and the boxes for my CIB one I bought, along with some other random accessories and books. We have quite a few, um, "backup" copies of movies, yeah, "backup copies".... The rack is just the 'commonly watched films', I have three boxes FULL of cases of 'backup movies' in the closet. Managing a video store for a year with 3 free rentals a day has its perks.... The lamp needs the shade replaced and after I make a couple for people I will be completely tearing it down and making myself a new one. I have a better way of making these now and it should turn out looking GREAT! I play the INTV, 2600, and ColecoVision (when I had one, need to buy another) in the living room with our conures. I don't think I got a picture of them, though. There are two Rubbermaid drawer containers next to the TV -- the one on the right is my 2600 collection. I took a special picture of my "rarest" cart -- a Galaxian cart signed by the world record holder, Mr. Galaxian! The CIB and Homebrew stuff is on top (I recently made the switch to CIB so that should be growing quickly) with the three drawers full of loose playing carts. I collect primarily major label variations and unique titles. The left rubbermaid has all the controllers in it, plus my loose INTV carts and my Jag. The Jag don't get no love at my place. I need to play it more. On the bookshelf further to the left is my burgeoning CIB INTV collection. I've been primarily focusing on INTV for collection lately as #2 -- Atari computers have by far been my collector bug #1! The Garagecade! Here's my 3 cabinets. They are all projects I am working on except for Space Invaders which is pretty much complete aside from some minor work. I'm slowly attempting to get the #1 record on 1942. You can see my "high scores" on the whiteboard plus the "extra plane" point levels for 1942, which I stuck up there so I can just glance over to see how close I am rather than getting distracted by thinking about it. I suck at Asteroids, lol! This is also the "project assembly area/rally point" where I work on everything. Table and lamp were assembled here and unless it's a minor fix to a system or computer I usually bring it down to the garage to work. You can see what I believe is 284 carts stacked under ATARI CITY! That's the latest project I'm working on w/ Al. I remember posting in October when I had barely joined with some pictures, saying my collection was 'wimpy'. It grew really fast!!! I am still amassing stuff and will probably always be collecting and playing! My main goals are a pin or two for the garage and a C128 and Amiga to round out my computer collection to 'all flavors'. Soon! EDIT: I have a lot of projects, wow!
  9. Very cool! What a nice piece for your collection too! Awesome find!
  10. Ahh, so I see you plan on taking the 'SUPER RARE' and 4x worth route? Good for you!
  11. It's a text adventure/interactive fiction so I can't guarantee that it's exactly what you're looking for but the Atari 8bits had a game made by Infocom that was called "The Lurking Horror". Pretty fun little text adventure!
  12. Where are you located krunchy? That's an AMAZING GOOD DEAL! I am betting you are on the east coast, it seems very rare that games pop up for such amazing prices here out west.
  13. Wait! Where's iwan today? J/K I hope you do get the cart and I'm sure you will -- very good find! None of us upstanding gentlemen would ever send an e-mail for a side-deal scum after the deal was sealed.
  14. Well you would have beaten my highest proxy. I still don't know how I would have paid for it if I won
  15. I finally got off the phone with my attorney, he says IT'S ON, ATARIAGE. We're going to sue your PANTS off....here is a picture of his face when he found out how much money we're gonna make! You better be scared, Al....I think you may recognize who my attorney is.... EDIT: In fact, take a look at this e-mail he just sent me. It's nothing privileged so I'm sure he won't mind me CAUSING A LITTLE FEAR....
  16. Console itself is not included, but that hologram is cool! Too bad he's not selling that as a complete unit! I noticed that right before I hit the BIN button. LOL Whoa, lucky fellow you are!!! Is $499 a really bad price, though? There can only be a few of those holograms floating around though, so it would be a pretty hefty collector item. Not $499 though I think.
  17. Console itself is not included, but that hologram is cool! Too bad he's not selling that as a complete unit!
  18. Add another $15,000 if it's made of solid 24K gold.
  19. Find the box and 'surprised' won't even begin to describe it. The lotto ticket with all winning numbers might be worth LESS!
  20. Yep, because Mario Bros. is just as rare as Spiderman #1. It will be if my 'Will it Blend?' plan comes to fruition.
