I'll have to check in my collection. I'm pretty sure I got a Sears Text Label Superman. Now you've just got me curious! I'm pretty sure Rick would post the picture label if nothing else. And yeah, his collection makes me vomit in ecstacy. I could never hope to come even close to that much cool stuff! EDIT: HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP! I was looking in my collection as I haven't for a while for that Sears Text Superman, right? And I stumbled upon something....AMAZING! Foretold in my dream, apparently, the dream gods wanted me to know this! Feast your eyes upon the MY VERY OWN COPY OF PICTURE LABEL SEARS SUPERMAN: The label is peeling and isn't centered very well, and it looks like Sears used some really cheap kind of sticker for the label on the front. Sort of sad, really, but I guess when you gotta cut costs you gotta cut costs, right? The end label is in pretty good shape though, and it looks like they spent their whole budget on it. That would explain a lot. Check that out! This is the SPECIAL EDITION VERSION that has Lois Lane herself on the label. Look at those bazooms! No wonder they didn't print too many of these, it's really racy! Not family-friendly label, that's for sure! This is the ONLY KNOWN special edition copy to exist. I've decided that since I'm such a good samaritan and always like to help out the collecting community, I'm going to let it go into the hands of one of the bigger collectors. The bidding can start at, oh, let's say, $5,000?

Didn't Sears also make a text label Superman as well? It didn't look like he had said it was a pic label specifically.

I don't really have nostalgia for printers, I never had one of these, let alone an Atari computer growing up. I just want to tinker around with it and see what I'm missing out on, and learn as much about the system as possible! I was missing out on a lot on the 1200XL, apparently, but not missing out on the 1027! It's interesting to learn that these printers were real dogs. I'd still like to use it, but perhaps in another lifetime.

Okay, it's getting really sad! I had a dream last night that I found a Sears Picture Label Superman and posted it on AtariAge and people were offering me thousands upon thousands of dollars! The dream was bad because I was having this huge moral quandary as to whether I would keep it for my collection or sell it for the dough! BLARG!

Yeah! Someone should do this for a holiday cart. The yule log simulator! There could even be stockings hung on the mantle on the screen. Someone should honestly make a screen saver multi-cart with all of these. A guy mowing lawns, paint drying or wallpaper being applied, a fireplace, and a GOLDFISH BOWL! Think of it! They could all be interactive. Pushing the fire button makes the guy mow the lawn. Pushing the fire button makes the painter apply a new coat. As said before, pushing the fire button could make the poker poke the log to make the flames get a little bigger, and with the goldfish bowl, pressing the fire button would make a hand drop a pellet of fish food for the fish!

A lot of those are gonna cost you some $$$$ (I put 4 $'s for a reason )

We need a full range of ports for all of our lawnmowing fantasies! I mean, come on, it's winter in the USA, and we can't mow our lawns right now due to the grass not growing! I'm honestly upset by this, for there are no lawn mowing simulations that can give me the pleasure of mowing a lawn! (I downloaded a C64 emulator and got the disk image for Hover Bovver, that game is frickin' hilarious, love it, now I have to get lawn simulator for the speccy, DAMN!)

That Ulillillia guy would probably be racking up mad points on this one if he had a Jaguar.

Ooh yeah! Or a VCS screensaver that is grass growing, and occasionally a guy with a lawnmower comes out and cuts it. Actually that would be a really hilarious homebrew and I hope someone does it -- "Ever thought something was as fun as watching the grass grow? Well you ain't seen NOTHIN' yet!"

Theoretically if they do pay only what eBay states they're likely to win a dispute anyhow. Yeah, their shipping has gotten really weird. I was selling cart lots and wanted to charge $6.50 for shipping but they would only let me go up to $6.00 in certain categories. If you can figure out what categories have that lack of shipping requirement you are golden.

I'm still waiting for one of those crazy Linux devs to come up with some insane (and also really awesome) and complex way to make AtariLinux.

I love the fact that you've busted out the 2600 for kids that age. So many children of this upcoming generation have absolutely no idea about classic video game systems and can't appreciate how awesome and amazing they really were! Applause for your expansion of their minds is necessary.

Munchkin is a really good option, and it's probably only $20 or so. If they like Killer Bunnies they will really enjoy Munchkin. If you're thinking of board games as well, Flux and Munchkin would be a great start.

I wish I could have been a kid in grade 6 to cool. Grade cool was probably the best grade ever. Also I'm not sure if teaching a bunch of church youth group children how to gamble by playing atari poker and casino is a great idea....

You might flip them but I'm not so sure you'll get your $80 back out of it, to be honest...

I like Fallout a lot better, but I'm about halfway through the game, I think. I'm past the second outposts and Lucky's Bar and whatnot. The game is pretty cool. I chose the sniper guy as well, but I've been pretty unimpressed with the actual sniping part of the game. The hit boxes are off by quite a bit and I just barely got around to getting the 100% pass-through-shields bit. The gameplay seems to me to be a lot like Diablo 2...everything is based on gear, gear, gear. Your skills/points don't really matter much, it's just a question of getting that revolver that can do 356 damage or the rifle that does 500+. I don't know if it was worth the $50 I paid for it, to be honest, but so few modern games have been worth it. I'm still peeing myself in anticipation for Red Dead Redemption.
