  1. I know you and I have discussed this before in regard to other projects, but are you concerned that failure to execute properly in this regard only pushes the finish line that much further for the next projects? That would be my big concern; the bad taste left in consumer's mouths makes the next project that much more difficult. In effect, the law of diminishing returns seems to apply to consumers in this instance, and execution will have to be even closer to perfection in order to overcome the consumer perceptions. This, of course, can have spillover into any other company that attempts a project the same way, not just Ouya themselves. That's what had me concerned from the get-go, actually. I am in the same boat -- I absolutely love the ideals and the vision that these people have, but the problem is the disconnect between the vision and the reality. If those don't match up completely, the vision will be the only thing that realistically seems to suffer from it. I hoped beyond hope that this would execute the vision perfectly, but I felt then (and still do feel) that the vision is just a little too high and beyond the reach of practicality, unfortunately for us all.
  2. That's a damn good deal! I'd snag it if I didn't already have the Goldstar FZ-1 that miraculously still works perfectly.
  3. Whoa! That mod would be so cool to have! Might have to give it a whirl once I am settled down and moved!
  4. LOL! When I got my first TI-99 4/A I got the Microsurgeon cart but nothing else. Popped it in, eager to play.......had heard so many great things about the game......was immediately stumped!

  6. Pretty sad, but this thing just sounds like a pretty big mess overall, from design flaws to business model issues to possible Osbone effect.....I was really on the fence about supporting it, and against my desires I chose not to. Honestly, I'm glad I chose not to support it now.
  7. But isn't the core idea behind that "humor" the fact that it is, in fact, irrelevant? Thus, making the irrelevancy the "relevant" part of your post by your own admission?
  8. ^ | | | What he said (except for y / x , not x / y, as slope is rise over run). I was posting this initially but knew someone else would beat me to the punch. Rise over run for slope, tangent for angle. The tangent of a 45 degree angle is 1, hence Y 1 / X 1 = 1. http://www.math.washington.edu/~greenber/slope.html
  9. Pallets and pallets of it hiding in a cave in French Guyana, I tell ya! *tinfoil hat*
  10. So you are saying you are using a Commodore mouse plugged into the 2600s controller port? I am still confused.
  11. "Again???" Looks good! I love that DECO cab, someday I hope to get one myself.
  12. I second the CPUWIZ motion. Top notch work and always has great releases. I'd also say get with benny about the boxes and manuals, he can probably source something for you.
  13. Fever of 101.8 and lightheaded. BLARG.

  14. He's talking about the Commodore 64 version. Moving topic.
  15. Only if you keep up your production of lazer lemons, then they'll be all up ons. Looking at completed eBay auctions, the price on Pastfinder has gone down a bit -- around $70 ballpark for the last auction that sold, if you split up the sale price evenly. That auction had both Pastfinder and Dreadnought Factor and went for $140; those two alone are nearly half of the $400 price if you go by the most recent as opposed to averages. I do admit that $400 is maybe a little on the high spectrum for "fair price", but it's still in the "fair" ballpark for sure. Like McKong said, $330 is about what these carts would cost individually. I do think the lot will decrease the value somewhat, as collectors have most of those titles already. We'll see what happens!
  16. Does anyone else have problems clicking on 'comment' and then nothing happening, even though it sent?

  17. You mean you weren't named after the Microsoft search engine?
  18. Many ways to interpret that....
  19. Hey, I'm not trying to be harsh!
  20. But are those games made by one-or-two people considered releases or just old homebrews?
  21. Don't be. I made those from a lot of carts that weren't even good enough for homebrew donors. Those carts were vomit-inducing, some painted over, some sanded down horribly, some warped slightly in ways not easily noticeable, etc. We made those fridge magnet carts from carts that would not be serviceable otherwise.
  22. Guys, really? Random Terrain could be more harsh than all of you combined.
