  1. If you don't change your custom status to "Moderator Moderator" I'm abusing my power and doing it for you. (Of course, I kid! I kid! I just really like the joke of someone having a custom status of "Moderator Moderator". That's just awesome. )
  2. I think someone just discovered a new custom status to be put under an avatar......
  3. That's because everyone who isn't saying ATURE bought a cart and got completely ripped off.
  4. Yours is going to have subtle Hozer heads imprinted on it, if that's what you're asking, yes.
  5. Posters are on their way. They shipped via UPS ground so should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. Everything else is prepped, so it's just stuffing tubes and shipping away!

Good, then you can move on to the Atari ROM Maker.
  7. Tell the doctor to etch a Fuji logo on the valve!
  8. No! OH DEAR GOD I MUST HAVE IT EDIT: Actually, it's pretty cool, but it would be relatively low on the list. I'm not actively trying to collect Nintendo IP board games, just arcade stuff. This also seems more like 'toy' than 'board game' in a traditional sense. I'd definitely want it, but it's not a high bounty item.
  9. Just got a huge haul of these games thanks to dr. kwack! I will take pics when they arrive, but the collection is getting so much closer to completion now!
  10. Complete set (loose and boxed mixed, no I don't have CIB BBSB LOL) with 2-port and 4-port. Funny thing is I used to be a 5200 "hater"! Once I actually opened my mind and started playing the console with less pre-conceived notions, I found that it's actually a fun little quirky system with a great game library.

  12. If you've ever been to New Mexico.....you might understand a bit more.....crime is a pretty big problem here, and there's not really a lot of hope for people in this state. It's near the poorest state in the union, and gang violence is very rampant here. With only one population center in the state, there's not a lot of a "future" for kids that don't have much in the first place, and it's very easy to get frustrated, unhappy, and downright pissed off at living here. I've only been here for three years and it drives me absolutely bonkers. Even the richer portions of Albuquerque are still "poor" by a lot of consideration in other areas, and the city (which as mentioned is the only population center in the entire state) is pocketed and peppered with extreme poverty. There are no "good" neighborhoods, everything is a mix of suburbia and then run-down urban centers complete with junkies, druggies, and prostitutes. Not using this as an excuse or anything, but more an indication of where other problem areas might exist in this situation. Sure, the kid played violent video games, but it sounds like he also regularly interacted with gang members, criminals, and others who could have painted just as much of a picture of how "glorifying" violence is. Combine this with no hope for a future and a dismal existence, well.....certain things are possible. It's sad to hear about anything like this, and it's even more sad that these shootings seem to be cropping up quite a bit lately. But the environment of New Mexico is just as much to blame as any other factor, and until that environment gets better, things like this may continue to happen.
  13. I'm pretty sure that means it's over-ripe, right? The only thing for it is to mash it up and make NES dogbone bread.
  14. Can scratch three off the list thanks to Mr. Tempest!
  15. Update time again: I received yet another e-mail from my printer. Production is nearly complete, and they will be shipped to me en masse by the end of the week! Then it's just assembly, packaging, and fulfillment!
  16. Well, if it's just the brand name and IP it's a different story altogether anyway. To be honest that's the only valuable asset they seem to have, nonetheless.
  17. Have any of you even read Atari's most recent 10-K, let alone are familiar with the concept of a 10-K and how to read one? If not, you might want to take a look at it. Especially the part about the most recent "salable assets". It sort of helps you know what you're actually buying. With that, my final post in this thread. Have fun with Kickstarter.
  18. Business plans? Solid proof of ownership compounded with a track record of financial success, and a drive for profitability and the means to get things done? Qualifications in the business world? We don't need those, we have NOSTALGIA. Nostalgia will clearly fix everything.
  19. Is it weird that I dislike Sonic the Hedgehog on Genesis, but think it's a pretty good game on SMS?

They're different styles of game. Without the sheer speed of the Genesis version, the SMS/GG version becomes a more traditional platformer with mild exploration elements.

  20. How the heck did I miss the edit on this? I'll send a PM right away.
  21. He's not a gaming celeb. He's a mountain biking celeb, I think.....
