Commodore SX-64 parties at Starbucks.
Cebus Capucinis replied to Space Centurion's topic in Commodore 8-bit Computers
I'm going to bring my Kaypro ][ and be an 'outsider', sitting in the corner glaring at all the SX-64s. LMAO Seriously though, that is a hilarious idea, and I bet it will spark some interest in the younger crowds (read: hipsters) as to these older machines! -
D'oh! I didn't get a confirmation e-mail. Sending a PM now!

Perhaps we could all start our search...... by looking at the Man in the Mirror? -
Time for another status update! My printer e-mailed me this earlier to let me know what was going on: "We ran off a final press proof today. It looks great. We will start production on late Monday, early Tuesday. On Wednesday, a new roll of substrate arrives, which should allow us to finish printing. If all goes well, these should be finished printing and cut by Friday 1/18/13. We will ship them via UPS ground to Monkey Labs that day if completed."

Okay, time to start using the thread for updates! Our printer let us know their machine is calibrated and fully tuned-up for this job, and production will start shortly. What happens now is they print, trim, dry, then flat-pack and get shipped to me. My printer said this should be pretty quick, and I'll have them by next Friday at the absolute latest. At that time, all I need to do is stuff some tubes, put in the bonus items, and ship 'em off. I've got everything assembled and ready for fulfillment, and we just ordered the 3" x 24" x .125" Uline heavy-duty Kraft shipping tubes to ensure no damage in shipping. Those will be here in 2 days. I'll post pics when the posters show up, and as soon as the posters ship, I'll be PMing everyone with their USPS Priority tracking #s (international orders are First Class, so unfortunately there is no tracking). Ship time should only be 3-5 days maximum.

Cool, thanks for the info! Trak-Ball Tempest..... :lust:

The Trak-Ball fix won't be present on any of the PRGE carts, I'm guessing? Can we send our carts in for replacement or something?

Might we interpret that as "My Vectrex collection is now complete?" If so, congrats! -

WANTED: Various arcade-themed board games
Cebus Capucinis replied to Cebus Capucinis's topic in Wanted
You have Turtles? Nice! The Entex games are ludricously hard to find, it seems. They used to be relatively common, quite a few people have Invader and Defender. I've found some of my list on several websites, and there's a couple out there on eBay, but most of them aren't 100% complete. Turtles is definitely the rarest of them, and it's another one I only vaguely recall seeing on eBay and other sites once a few years ago, but I was broke at the time and couldn't buy it. Non-arcade board game related, you ever want to offload that Voice of the Mummy and Which Witch, let me know. I've been looking for both of those for quite some time. Arcade Mania isn't super rare, but it is hard to find anymore. That's one I've got a couple inroads in on another site or two for a pretty good price, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. So far the most elusive seem to be Tower of Druaga, Ghosts n' Goblins (as both are Japanese imports), Lode Runner (I believe it wasn't sold in retail stores, only as an add-on item to another purchase or mail-order), and the other Flip 'R Cade games. The other Flip 'R Cade games are almost like ghost stories or urban legends in how infrequently they're even mentioned. Tutankham was only rumored to exist for the longest time, and I honestly believe there's only 3 copies out there remaining (and that's a liberal estimate, as BoardGameGeek only shows 2 owners). I'd have to say Tower of Druaga is probably my "holy grail" for this collection. I'm pretty sure it was a combination of both only being mail-order and also exclusive to Japan, so it will be near impossible to find one in the wild, and the whole 1 collector I know that has it won't sell, LOL! EDIT: Humorously enough, of course, as soon as I finally find one, another one shows up. Looks like a seller on BoardGameGeek has a Wizard of Wor for $50, which is a damn good price. I did pay less than that for mine, but there were certain "factors" in mine that made it less, but it's a good ballpark as to what some of these should sell for. My copy still has the stickers on the sheet and the pieces in the sealed bag, so I might have to buy that second one to actually play the game.
