I wonder if it is a real CTCW cart with those awful printed labels. -
Goodies for sale OLD THREAD LOCK
the-topdog replied to the.golden.ax's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Well, it is pretty self explanatory, he exudes awesomeness. Just kick back and relax a bit, he will come through... I'm pretty sure he didn't flood his city just to get out of sending you your stuff. -
If he is not the seller then I apologize.

What's the first videogame you ever played?
the-topdog replied to lushgirl_80's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I was a pinball addict in the early 70's and my father brought home a dedicated Pong console one day and my sisters and I played for hours, every chance we got, I don't remember if my little brother played with us as he was extremely young at the time. It was mind blowing to be able to play a game right on our TV screen... how Star Trek was that? -
Wow SAG. Way to hijack xg4bx's thread.

I'm the "guy" Not an eBay glitch in this case. Each bid was just an increase in my maximum bid- perhaps eBay hides that info from you. I've been burned one too many times by someone swooping in at the last second and outbidding me, so raising my max a few times was kind of an insurance policy. Cool. I was wondering why there were 4

There is some guy that has done like 4 bids in a row all for $140 on my GT. Is this common or like a eBay glitch or something?

Ok, I got a chance to put batteries in the unit to test the volume and the screen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TvFNOVv02Y As you can see, it is very bright and clear and the sound is quite loud and clear.

Heheh... cool dude. It is always fun to see stuff like this.

Nope his dad was in the US Air Force. Usually deployed over in the UK. I'm just making assumptions since I never saw what program he used to make his letters. I just chided him for the resulting product. There are a lot of text editors that had no x,y cursor capability... EDLIN for MS-DOS springs to mind. They were cumbersome and clunky but got the job done. I remember writing .BAT files with EDLIN and it still gives me nightmares. http://www.computerhope.com/edlin.htm It would be a fun little project to come up with something like that for the ECS since it is such an ignored part of computing history.

I am positive on the two points. It definitely wasn't an Aquarius and it definitely was an Int/ECS setup... we mocked him constantly about it. Kids can be so evil at times My guess is either a third party program, or just a BASIC program his father wrote. The odd thing is that his printer looked just like the Aquarius printer only it was black. Was it released by multiple manufacturers? EDIT: Found it. It is the Manta printer http://www.vdsteenoven.com/aquarius/manta.html
