It might be a bit simple and you may have said this earlier ( sorry if you have ) but have you checked you are getting power to the board from the switch. If you flicked it on/off twenty times and it worked once maybe the switch is badly oxidised i had this on a 65XE and CPC464 and CPC6128. Just a thought.
I think you only get sound back out of the Monitor Jack if you connect i think SR back to the LM358 other than that it's RCA Jacks you fit to the case.
I don't quite get this, so forgive me for stating the obvious but you did connect A4, Bell etc to the board and the Left, Right and Common Ground to external RCA Jacks ??? as i see no evidence of headers or wires on the connection points.
I have the same stereo board from Jurgen and Pang shows the Hardware spec before loading the full game and one of the fields is Stereo ( True/False ). The other one i can think of is Yoomp! shows as "Stereo Detected" on the Title screen.
No he is selling a Multi Cart for the 2600.

You did not sound like you were talking about a XL/XE to VCS2600 adapter. It seemed like you wanted a new Multi Cart for the VCS off tmp
Hi,
As you all probably know if you read this thread i had one of the first three carts. So i have been using it for a couple of weeks. I just wanted to clarify the situation on the XEX files that need extra RAM. I have a couple of 800XL's one has a Compy/Rambo 512K and the other has a Ultimate 1MB expansion's. So my experience is with machines that have a base 64K and not a 130XE. They both work with the AVG Cart without any problems loading Car's ( I was finally able to run the Bad Apple 1.0 Car ) or XEX's that are not over 64K. So i do not think it is a problem with my RAM expansions so hopefully when more users get these Carts it might help nail down the reason.
I was just thinking if the OP is not familiar with soldering and replacing the 4051 might be a bit intimidating and should maybe see if someone can repair his PCB. Just a thought...
BTW even though we live in England my brother is a Patriots fan and for my sins I’ve always been a Bears fan
I live in the UK and have PAL 800XL's so most of the chips on my Atari's are not in sockets which means a lot of desoldering - do you know if you motherboard is completely socketed now you know how to pop the RF shield off and have a neb inside?
As a fan of 8-Bit Chip Music in general and the POKEY in particular 'cos I'm an Atari user, I can see the appeal of just having the Audio section of the POKEY "emulated" having no electronics training i just wondered how realistic is this concept to come to fruition? and when could we maybe expect something to happen as regards production of these type of boards?
They ( POKEY's ) seem to be quite scarce at the moment in Europe and something like this would be great - maybe you could even toggle between Dual or Quad POKEY's via a switch of some type.
I have used him quite a lot for spares ( Cap kits, Heatsinks & Chips ) he also makes a pretty mean little SD Card interface for the Sinclair Spectrum but only in very small batches.
Hi
Regarding point #3
Here is a place selling TI 4164's ( listed for C64 but would imagine they work in A8 ) @ £1.20 each ( He ships to USA so imagine he will send to New Zealand )
https://www.retroleum.co.uk/c64-chips
I have some Hitachi 4864's which are pin compatible with 4164's ( they aren't for sale btw ) - So if you find some 4864's they should work too.
I remember Silica Shop adverts in the gaming magazines. They were THE Atari suppliers in the UK at the time...I bought my Atari Jaguar from them when it launched. My long suffering wife went crazy when she found out. ☺
Just tried T-34 to see what it's like and as emkay says it is really quite good and it's worth checking out. Changing the settings ( Gravity etc ) add a twist.
I don't think an 8-Bit CPU could handle all the physics calculations for a full-on Angry Birds game
I'll start testing it as soon as it arrives. It took a few weeks for my Second POKEY chip to arrive from Slovakia hopefully this will not be as long and i can give you some feedback on the device.
Looking forward to it.
