      80 in 1st batch - I am #350.  Congrats to @SainTon this latest release!!!

I have the lynx sd card and it is dynamite, I'm not sure I"m going to buy this only because I  have the entire original library, entire songbird library, the entire cd library and like 10 homebrews so while a great product, I don't know if I really need it,

  2. Starting up a NUON live stream on YT right now and I plan on dabbling with each of the 8 games released in North America. Stop in and say hi! https://www.youtube.com/c/gameplayandtalk/live

  3. The collecting world has gone mad with this COVID stuff. Everything's jumped up in price, even Wii U systems. $150 at a bare minimum if you want one with a controller, and that's in poor condition. WTF?!

Yeah, the unemployment bonus to stay at home thing, I think people are blowing that money and milking out the benefits, thinking that when it's over they will be able to just go back to work where they were before, or it will be easy to get hired when ever they feel ready. Employers aren't going to wait around on your lazy ass, and they won't appreciate being taken advantage of like that. You know they are blowing the extra money, because how else do you explain all the stupid spending on fireworks? I know guys that are unemployed that spent $2000 on personal fireworks!

Pretty sure I saw 2 WiiUs here in a pawn shop.  IIRC, one was $90 and one was $110.  The sign said one had a password and one did not.  Now knowing nothing about it, does a password just unlock the games DLed on the system or is it more important than that?  I've never had one before.

@GoldLeader - Yeah, the password is needed to access games bought with that Nintendo Account. I don't think it's the end of the world though--pretty sure you can create a "Guest" account and play physical games normally.

  4. Updated R77 for sale, for anyone interested:

Great song? Sounds like a fat demon taking a shit on a Casio keyboard.

  6. Any arcade gurus out there? Having trouble with a Pandora's Box 3.

  7. Armada is a fantastic game, I played it quite a bit when it was still new.

Record of Lodoss War is grind-heavy, sort of. When you level up, only your HP goes up though--none of your stats do. Stats building (the most vital part) is done through upgrading your weapons at the blacksmith. You find him an hour or two into the game, probably sooner if you are quick about it.

  8. Atari Jaguar DOOM + Classic Doom 3 soundtrack = a match made in heaven. Or something like that.

  9. Atari Joe, where did you go?

(Woah, a poet and didn't even know it!)

  10. Awww yeah... Can't believe this feels 'old' to me. I'm not THAT old.... yet.

  11. Damn. This track is 12 years old now, but I still love it as much now as I did back then.

  12. For those that haven't played Super Mario Maker, I've got to say, it's pretty damn addictive. Here's a level I tossed together on stream the other night. It took me about 90 minutes to make. I thought it would be fun to make a time-lapse video of the process:

Coolio Austin, I don't have a WiiU but I've no doubt if I did I would be all over this, Nintendo is pretty good for titles to allow you to use ones creativity.

^^^^^ Rob, I have to say. The Wii U is actually great. I doubted it at first and decided to pick it up earlier this year. I showed no buyer's remorse and it won me over. The NES Remix game is awesome!! Lots of old classic titles in a mini game style challenge, Mario U and Luigi U are awesome, DKC Tropical Freeze, plus the game taking waaaaaaaaaaay too much of my time. Super Mario Maker. It is worth owning! :)

@Retrogamer81081 I hear ya and no doubt but currently even if I did really really want one I currently am not in a position to get one. Who knows maybe when it is yet another retro console lol.

  13. Funked up? As in, "Got the funk?"

    lol

  14. Here's a full playthrough + commentary of DOOM for the Jaguar:

Really good. Still, I usually go with the IBM compatible version because of the PS/2 mouse support. I can't live without that now. I'm spoiled!

Oh yeah, PC DOOM is by far my preferred version to play. Keyboard + Mouse support and a silky smooth framerate. I still enjoy playing through the varying console versions too though. :)

  15. Here's a Let's Play I just put together where I try to defeat Ninja Gaiden with a less-than-ideal QuickShot joystick:

  16. Here's a personal look back on the mid-'90s puzzler, Zoop:

I was there when it was developed, I worked on a 3D prototype of Zoop for the PS1. Was too sophisticated for Viacom. LOL

@cpuwiz, very nice! A 3D version of Zoop would have been awesome to see.

  17. Here's a variety of Battletoads gameplay clips from the Sega Genesis. Have no time to watch a longplay of the game? Check out these condensed clips to see far into the game.

  18. Here's a variety of gameplay clips from Flip Out on the Jaguar:

A fun but very challenging game. You should do one of these for Raiden since I think you set the highest score ever recorded on that..

  20. Here's an hour and fourty minutes of Tempest 4000:

Good lord. I think I've gotten to level 7. I suck at it. On T2K I could play that long. :(

Hated this game at first, then years later loved it.

Not my favorite version, but I do enjoy the game as well. There's some great animation here and a lot of "character". Seems to be interesting to try to speed through too.
