I also know of a Windows application called ST-Paint that I downloaded, but I cannot for the life of me remember which URI I downloaded it from. But, it can convert images to Degas Elite uncompressed and uncompressed format, as well as NeoChrome format. Since I have VirtualBox running Windows 7 Ultimate, I can use that as well as XnConvert for the Macintosh. Well, I have both now, so they will both work. Anyway, I believe the link to ST-Paint is from AtariAge anyway. It should be fairly easy to locate in a forum search. I just found it by accident and downloaded it for future use. I will need it soon anyway. I will try to find the URI for others to find as well, but I think a lot of you have stuff like that in your software repertoire anyway. I will search anyway. Thanks for letting me share.

Hello, fellow Atarians, I am wondering. Maybe someone has an idea about this, but I am looking for an application that can convert GIF, PNG, TIFF, JPEG, and other modern picture formats to an Atari ST-readable format. I have never done this yet. Tell me, can something like ST-Paint on Windows do that? Is there something for the Mac that can convert files and be easy to use? I exclusively use the Mac and would rather use a Macintosh environment to do that in. As always, assistance is duly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks, Exxos, for revamping your store. I looked at it recently, and it looks even better than it ever did. Soon, I will frequent your site and eventually buy some components for my 1040STE computer. Money is tight right now. Keep up the great work. Thanks again!

Yeah, I second the thanks. It really is a great conversion of "Rescue on Fractalus." Kudos.

True. That they are. I guess that if I want to burn CDIs I will have to buckle down and go the PC route. My iMac no longer has a SuperDrive in it, as previously stated, because I needed extra hard drive space. So, I sacrificed it. It has its pros and cons, but it is overall a good experience for me. Anyway, would DiscJuggler recognize a standalone external CD/DVD burner? It seems that my universal drive adapter (UDA) is not being recognized by DiscJuggler in WINE or VirtualBox under Windows 7 Ultimate. This is what I use to connect my internal Blu-Ray burner to my iMac, but the connection isn't exactly perfect. I think that it may be a driver issue, but it works otherwise without drivers. I am stumped. If anybody has ideas, I will appreciate it. Sorry again for being off-topic. I know this a topic about "Fallen Angels," and not really about disc burners and their capabilities when connected to UDAs. Thanks again for any and all advice.

Yeah. I suppose that the Mac version of JiFFI needs some more tweaking to work correctly, because as soon as it starts up, it crashes about five seconds later. Also, I have problems with running DiscJuggler under WINE on my Mac under Yosemite 10.10.5. I cannot burn with it for some reason on my Mac. Is there something that I am lacking concerning these applications? I know that I am off-topic about DiscJuggler, but I would love to see it work under my Mac environment. I also use a universal drive adapter to run an external burner. Could that be the problem? Sorry for being off-topic about that, but I am curious and I thought that I should throw that out there. Thanks.

Update: I tried running it on 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. Nothing happened. It crashed. No worries. Bummer.

I tried running the JiFFI-Mac application this morning, but it crashed under 10.10.5 Yosemite. Would I need to run it under something like 10.6.8 Snow Leopard? Would that work? Thanks.

Antic Cyber Graphics Software for ST…
jericho_21 replied to jericho_21's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
You know, Vizfizz, I did see a listing at B&C ComputerVisions one day for an unboxed copy of Chronos-3D Keyframer. I know it is still on the site listings, but it does not list the price of the software and it could be an old listing that may not be relevant anymore. I am not so sure of that. You would have to contact Bruce Carso about it. Go to myatari.com, and his contact information will of course be on there. That is all I know about a physical copy of that piece of software. I have no idea about where the other software titles are. Sorry about that. I hope that this somewhat helps you out in your quest to collect these classic art application titles. Thanks. -
I am also glad that other individuals are taking interest on working on STE boosters. That's a far cry from a few years back, when it was literally dead. I hope that these projects are successful. Thanks again.

No worries on the time it takes. I probably would not do anything with it right now anyway, since I do no work on the STE right at this moment. I will in the future, however. Then, I will get the accessories for the STE that I need. Well, once completed anyway. Thanks for the update, Exxos. Appreciated as always.
-
Speaking of your next generation STE booster, Exxos, would you be working on that with Rodolphe Pineau, or is that solely your project?
-
Hey, that's pretty cool, Exxos. I look forward to seeing that soon. I might purchase it once things get really moving soon, once the upgrade is ready I mean. Thanks for the update.

Antic Cyber Graphics Software for ST…
jericho_21 replied to jericho_21's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Thanks for the download links, everybody. I plan to get a CosmosEx device in the future for my 1040 STE so I can run this software natively without floppies. In the meantime, I am using emulation temporarily to test the software. Thanks again, and if I find links to other animation software, I will put notice about it on here. -
Thanks for the information, and it is appreciated. I wonder of someone like exxos, or anybody in Europe for that matter, can find a way of doing something like that in the future. I think that would open up some definite possibilities.

Cool! Can they be posted as disk images? Or, would I need to buy them outright? I assume that they can be posted as images to download. Thanks. -
1040STE Graphics Card: Is it Possible?
jericho_21 replied to jericho_21's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Thanks. I will run with this information. This helps me out even further. -
Hi, everybody, I got another question. If the 1040STE can go up to 4 MB of RAM using SIMMs, is there a complete way to create a 16 MB RAM workaround for the 1040 STE? I know that there is a partial schematic for a RAM booster on Vezz's Atari ST Hardware Hacks web site for such an upgrade, but is there a complete description of this? I am duly interested in finding ways to really mod my 1040STE. This is just also wishful thinking, as I am scraping to save up my money for cool upgrades for the STE I own. Thanks! ^_^

STE BOOSTER 32MHz project & pre-odering
jericho_21 replied to exxosuk's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Yeah. The XBoard for the 7800 would be a nice niche for any person technically inclined enough to create it. I would like to see that. No rush, if people are busy with other things, however. But, it would be nice. -
1040STE Graphics Card: Is it Possible?
jericho_21 replied to jericho_21's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Thanks for the information, Frank. Now, here is my next inquiry. There are different variations of the ET4000 ISA graphics card, at least that is my understanding. Which ones are compatible with your ISA adapter and the Atari 1040STE? Thanks. -
