7800 startup requires system be turned on twice?
Kurisu replied to brojamfootball's topic in Atari 7800
I know my buttons are a little jumpy, but I do not have the same issue you describe, just the occasional pop on or off when I press the button the wrong way. -
Interesting 7800 review from Classic Game Room HD
Kurisu replied to carmel_andrews's topic in Atari 7800
I spent 50 bucks on 2 euro pads, and I generally like them. Pac Man and such just suck to play with it, but the 7800 games are pretty nice. I don't hate the proline, and I do make a ton of jokes about it being the 2nd worst controller ever, but it does hurt for me to play with over a long time: normal cramping in Galaga and such. Plus, mine is a little hard to get going to the right, so it just annoys me to no end: I do better in Galaga or Xevious with the euro than I do the proline. As it stands, I pretty much never use my Proline: I just use my eurostyle for everything, and if I am playing a 2600 game on it, either gut it out with the odd gameplay (the right hand left hand swap is hard to adapt to on some games, like Yars), or I just use a 2600 controller nearby and go the old route. Of course, this is all when I am too lazy to swap 2 cables and play my 2600. :\ -
This shows alot of promise to my hopes that in the future, vintage machines will be reproduced with originally designed parts, thus allowing the device to stay around "forever". there really is no reason for a company NOT to allow and support long ago discontinued hardware to be replicated exactly by another company: simple licensing at its best, I would say. ...one day...

Gotta have crazed robots! No Xmas is complete without crazed robots!

wow... just... wow... May the classic gaming gods have mercy on their soul.

Looks like I know where a good portion of my Intellivision money is going. Ironic that I want to maybe get a set of the posters as well. Good portion? More like all of it. Yeah I was half asleep still when I typed that. wooooo~!

That's it, the impulse to purchase a 16 of-a-kind item has taken over: PM SENT!

Guess who just subscribed.

I record everything onto VHS, then have been trying to playback to a gamebridge. I get horizontal scrolling in my issues: I am sure in my case (2600 and 7800 system footage) it is the signal. :/ Oh well, so much for my plans...

Now THAT is my kind of lot! Great job.

$166.50 shipped for Custer's Revenge loose!

If we can get him to do Pac-Man, E.T., or Combat we can all retire the next day. No no, but seriously, this is the same as that Twitter garbage: the second the media picks up on it, all of a sudden EVERYONE has to have it or use it, otherwise you are not cool. Standard sheep mentality I'm afraid. -
Odds are no one even begins to have solid answers, and instead of waste your time with non-helpful posts, they just move on, as I did originally. I have tried to use my limited knowledge to address your situations, but I have no ideas that you have not already tried. :/ sorry.

SOLD>> One of a kind Wireless Heavy Six System
Kurisu replied to ninermaniac's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
First off, wow on the whole idea, and a congrats, however late, on making it a reality: especially leaving the ports available for paddles and such. Second off, I LOVE that little faceplate on it. Subtle mod uniqueness, eh? third, just via coincidence, your box pic is the first one I have gotten a look at that actually shows the infamous chess piece. thanks for passively being the one to show me this. Finally, on the actual topic, I would LOVE to purchase this if I had the expendable income. :/ Best of luck to you in selling this: I am sure someone will snap it up real quick -
sounds like a good breakdown of the value, and something I would do if I wasn't freezing at the time of my original post. XD

Good to hear.

Anyone want an Intelligent Telivision?
Kurisu replied to Cebus Capucinis's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade

I would pay at MOST 100 for this, presuming the boxes are in decent shape. Sounds about right to me, and most of the games are good ones, so who knows. If the Swordquest game is Waterworld, you have struck gold, but that is not likely. and sure as anything don't ask about it, or the price my jack up!

The guy hoarding Odysseys is now overpricing 2600's
Kurisu replied to STICH666's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Let's look at the list of messed up things with this one: He changed the cases out, a no-no in my book. It appears to have standard CX-40's instead of the CX-10's (the spring ones, thats what they were called, right?) IIRC those are also late model paddle controllers. and 3 common as the cold games for over $100? I got my 40934H unit for 97 w/ shipping, and it came with a good game stash, original paddle AND joystick controls, and the original gray adaptor. I was thinking about buying a NES from this guy (boxed one) but now, I duno; this just kinda has WTF written all over it. -

I was interested in the 'telly but I didn't bite for the same reason: I don't need another 30 year old mouth to feed Guess now is a little late to bother changing my mind, eh? lol. -
the ePay price of Odyssey units is rediculuous now (thank you James -.-; but I do want one at some point. Gotta find me a Magnavox TV to go with it ( XD ) Uh, hmn, now looks like the time to get it, if I want to be #13... darn darn darn. I'll keep thinking about it.

Don't own an odyssey, but I totally want this.

Indeed, one nice score. Rates out to just under a buck per cart if you rate the manuals and the Yar comic as 1 dollar each (comic is obviously worth more in general reality ) The double ender is the icing on the cake, to me. for an awesome score. Only thing I would dislike about the lot is the Coconuts cart. For some reason I hate that game. >_>

Kurisu replied to jasonbar's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
*holding carts 8 and 10 as he types this* Forgot to mention they arrived the other day. Awesome, and worth it. As I say on many good deals, if you think you at all want one of these, then go for it!
