  1. Don't get rid of your Aquarius. I've got some good stuff cooking for the Aquarius that you might be interested in when it's ready (within the next few months). Oh, no worries, the AQ isn't going anywhere. I've got a modem and a printer for it as well. (paper?) You'll find a pretty diverse range of opinion here, and we're all passionate about our systems of choice. My only other advice would be: don't take our word for it! Investigate both systems and go with the one you like the best. This seems to be the best. Let's see what I find. This post showed me a few things
  2. Just learned of this. How can I put it? Oh.. I know. WANT.
  3. Wow. I didn't expect such feedback! I neglected to mention the following, but I will now. Years ago I had a Coleco I bought at a yardsale. (10 years ago maybe?) I had the 2600 adapter as well, but I don't think I could get the adapter to work as I think my carpet was too uneven for the unit to plug in nicely. Regardless I sold it all, I think the funds went to a Vectrex I had. I have an Aquarius (still). I really only touch it for the AD&D game, and even then, thats rare. From what I remember, the Aquarius games were Intellivision ports? The controllers are funky keypads with a silver disc.(I really should read up on this). I had a 5200 from a friend a long time ago. Other than Space Dungeon, and the clunky sticks.. Why do I want one? My entertainment center has two shelves under the TV area, that I can safely fit four consoles/accessories, two side by side on each shelf. I also have a matching tower that has five shelves. I suppose I could get another, I didn't think of it to be honest. The girlfriend wouldn't mind, as she wants a desktop in there for her WOW nights, and that would solve my space issue, for all three systems, if I went that way. It STILL however, doesn't solve my dilemma. I think I may make a poll, once the carpet is finished in my living room and I get it all back together. I was expecting a huge slant one way, or another, but I'm pleasantly surprised to see it split more or less down center (I didn't know Coleco even had a homebrew community).
  4. I'm rounding out my systems that I want to leave hooked up in the living room at all times. Currently have 2600 NES SNES PS3 slim Xbox PS2 I want to pick up a Genesis (I never had one, I was a Nintendo kid, but I did have a SMS) I have an N64, but I hated it when it came out, and I still am not a fan so it's in the closet. I have a 7800, and several games, but the fact a few games don't work, make me hesitant to replace my 2600 with it. So.. I'm thinking of either a Coleco or Intellivision. I've never had either. I'm a gamer/collector I guess, but I prefer loose games I can play (or Harmony Carts). Pick one for me, and why?
  5. FF2 is probably my favorite out of the series. Enjoy!
  6. Received mine last week and it gets used nightly by the girlfriend and I (yes, she eagerly plays, on her own, as well. Thanks!!
  7. I know I'm a noob, and my opinion is probably worth 1/2 the vote of a veteran here, but I'd be willing to wait (not years, but, what's a few more months?)
  8. This came in a lot of stuff I bought over the weekend, but I have no use for it. Unsure if it works, what you see is what you get. $20 + Ship Also some game gear games. $10 shipped. Generic 2600/etc joystick. Smaller-ish. $6 shipped Two (2) Dynacom Joysticks. One has suction cups, one is missing them. $10 shipped for the pair. 2600 Jr. Cracked case, non working. Someone might want for parts? $10 shipped. Polyvox (Brazilian Atari) 2600, Modded for A/V outs. It's PAL-M, Works fine. $50 shipped. Colecovision controller. I have two. $12 each or $20 for both shipped in the US. My bricked Coleco. Started and undid an A/V Mod. Worked great before this, now the screen is fuzzy and glitchy. Nice case and faceplate. $10 + ship.
  9. I've got the Kefka Final Fantasy 2 disc soundtrack (I think it was for 2 and 3). Also have an "Origin CD" with some songs from a few Origin games.
  10. Will you do just a label? I have a Dukes of Hazzard game I bought yearssss ago pre ebay that I POORLY made a hand made label with colored pencils
  11. I still am trying to figure out what to do. On my TV stand, I have a 40" Samsung LCD, the shelf under neath, I have my region free DVD upscaler and cable box, to the right is the PS3 Sim Under that, I have my Atari 2600 jr and my surround sound unit I have a matching 'hardware' stand on the side that has several shelfs. Each shelf is a system Xbox PS2 NES I'm getting a SNES and Genesis. I'll probably put the NES (top loader) on top of the PS2, I haven't decided. Controllers are all kept in one of those 'over the door shoe racks' in the closet. The DVD/CD games are easy to store, they go on the DVD stand. I still haven't figured out the cartridge games yet, and I have 150+ atari and 20 or so NES. What ISN'T out? My Aquarius.. I haven't decided if I want to bother, the only good game IMO is the AD&D Dungeon game (I forget the name). I've been tempted to buy a bunch of those cart holders on eBay for the 2600/7800 games, but it seems they don't make any that hold A LOT, and I want them all to match.
