Neo Geo X Gold System to release in December for $199
psquare75 replied to goldenegg's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Oh the snobbery. I'm in it for the games..... But wow, I didn't know those existed. Still, this "X" would probably be cheaper vs a used AES + multicart... hmm. I suppose we collectively must wait to see how accurate the emulation is. -
Neo Geo X Gold System to release in December for $199
psquare75 replied to goldenegg's topic in Classic Console Discussion
See my sig.. Note missing Neo Geo. If there were a flash cart solution for Neo Geo, I'd be more interested in acquiring a system. But alas, there is not... This should fit the bill nicely instead, i'd think. -
I also have to admit, I haven't touched my Supercharger in years.
-
I have a Supercharger that I bought in the late 90s and I used to use that makewav program. I had to solder a switch to a chip, however, and flip it one way to use OEM Supercharger games, and another way to use any other game. It was amazing at the time.

Neo Geo X Gold System to release in December for $199

There is a gaping hole in my collected systems, that being a Neo Geo. I'd happily buy this and consider that gap filled, especially if it can use an OEM controller in the second port. -
1 More Castle reviews AD&D Tarmin, on the Aquarius
psquare75 replied to psquare75's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
No need to thank me. This is one of my favorite games on any system. It needed an article! -
I've been writing game reviews on the new retro website, 1 More Castle with a series called "The Fair Shake". I'm 100% new to this blogging/writing thing, but I'm having some fun with it. I'm covering games that I'd hate to see lost to the dustbin of history that still hold up fairly well, or games that were are unfairly derided today. They are light fluffy pieces, but I figure any positive press for these games is better than none at all. This week I covered AD&D for the Aquarius, with a very brief intro about the Aquarius. http://1morecastle.com/2012/06/advanced-dungeons-dragons-treasure-tarmin-aquarius/ Thought you fellow AQ friends would enjoy it .

If you'll pay, lol.. I've done four quotes for int'l shippers around the world.... And all have balked. Not singling you out, but, I think people forget, or have no idea how much it costs to get things out of the US.

IKEA sells some neat Atari looking stickers.. So of course I had to decorate the coffee table in the game room And an 'in the room' shot, Playing Castlevania 3

I don't really do the boxed thing (No room!) so here. (1) fair box for 5200. Has boxes for tv adapter and power adapter (1) 4 port 5200. Clean. Works well. (2) controllers. Neither work. Dunno why. Then a small selection of games. BOX AND GAME ONLY.. No manual or controller overlay. Centipede Countermeasure Defender Pac Man Super Breakout BOX ONLY River Raid CART ONLY All work Say $70 SHIPPED (mainly due to size) in the US.

SOLD Cleaning up around here. (1) 7800 system. Works well. Fairly cean. Silver trim is worn on edges. Robot Tank does not work on it. Activision games work if they are only fully seated (dunno why?) (1) Power adapter. Works. (1) RF cable (1) Spectra Video 2600 joystick. Works fair.. Plug needs to be in "just right" for it to work fully.. otherwise, left doesn't work. (1) PointMaster 2600 joystick. Works well. 7800Games Hat Trick 2600Games MegaMania MASH Sneak N Peek Adventures of Tron River Raid Atari Combat ET Yar's Revenge Labels are all fair/poor, but they are all tested and work on this system. Asking $45 shipped in the US TRADE for a working Commodore 64.. Need not be boxed.

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
psquare75 replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
So mine isn't a "thrift" find. I was at a car parts swap meet this weekend, and I usually do fairly well for game systems and games.. Don't ask why. I don't know, lol. Picked up Boxed 5200 4 port, with all manuals, boxes for inserts, etc, 2 controllers. boxed/manuals/overlays for Pac Man Countermeasure Super BreakOut Defender Pole Position NES Castlevania 3 N64 Controller GameBody Advance, missing back cover. Some BMX game for said system. Bag with approx 10 2600 games (all commons and doubles for me, but I did not have Omega Race) and also 6 or 7 8 bit cartridges (I have none, so all were new. Nothing special. Miner 2049er, Pengo, Qix, etc. All under $80 -
It's a sears shell.

This is from a heavy sixer. It didn't work and this is as far as I got a few years ago. I don't know what was wrong. I swapped chips from another working 2600, but it didn't change anything. I'm a gamer, and not so much a collector, so I just assume let someone else have this. Much more interested in trades. Specifically, game manuals! Whatcha got? Worst I can say is no!

No love for WC3? Trades?

Looking for new home for Commodore 64, printer and floppy drive
psquare75 replied to xucaen's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Just noticed this. I'm in MA, and I could probably drive for the items. -
I got this with WC3 when it first came out. I think this was a special edition of the game that came with an Origin soundtrack and a 'making of' disc. I only have the tin. No dents, but surface rust starting in a few spots. Say $10 shipped in the US?

Curious if anyone has case modded their unit at all? Decals?
-
I wonder if paper card stock and laminated with cheap laminating paper sold at Staples would be a decent budget solution.

FS: 2600 collection (loose carts, boxed games) REDUCED 2/27!
psquare75 replied to orrimarrko's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Honest question. This thread is going on over a year. How can it always be "last bump before the 'bay?"
