  1. I haven't been following this too closely but was wondering if there's a ballpark announcement for an official release for the firmware that might be announced
  2. Unfortunately you need a 2 button controller for this one. Sorry
  3. Hopefully it's fixable. Paddle games are a huge part of the 2600 experience. I haven't been following closely but has paddle support for 7800 games been addressed, for example super circus atariage?
  4. It is available on Amazon canada for preorder now. I ordered one a few days ago
  5. You may be on to something. I have a Collectorvision Phoenix and there are known issues with some modern tvs with regard to sound. My issue was similar to this pitfall sound. By the way none of these Phoenix issues has ever been resolved even though it's been years but that's another subject
  6. According to John Hancock, Super circus atariage is working with this beta but I can't get paddles to work. Joystick in left port, paddles in right but once I select paddles from the main screen, nothing happens. These are the new Atari paddles btw. Any ideas? Nothing in the manual suggests I'm doing anything wrong.
  7. If they can get Spiceware and Champ games running I'll be in heaven
  8. Astro blaster 7800 Frenzy 7800 Tunnel Runner 2600 All on the 2600+
  9. When i try to update the firmware getting an error. Followed the instructions to the letter.
  10. @Ben from Plaion Do you know if the phantom hyperspace issue in 7800 asteroids was addressed where some people, like myself, have reported random warps with no button press, using a 2 button controller?
  11. Great news. I ordered a set of the new paddles from Amazon and am looking forward to trying super circus atariage on the plus
  12. I love food fight. I personally would have preferred a recharged version of the arcade game like the other recharged games, not a low rent version of splatoon
  13. Not atari IP but I'd love to see an updated, more arcade accurate Mr.DO, either a 2600 or 7800 version
  14. Bump n boing sounds like something you shouldn't google with your wife around
  15. Do the "recharged" games count as modern? If so then yes I play modern games. We do have a Switch but my games are typically remastered or collections of older games like NFS Hot Pursuit, Portal 1 and 2 or the Atari Collections. The only truly modern game we have is the latest Animal Crossing and its just my daughter that plays it.
  16. Very strange, so I have something odd going on and since this only happens on the plus and not original hardware, it's not my europad or nes pads. I'll have to dig out another 7800 asteroids and see if there's some bizarre issue with my original cart
  17. My biggest issues were with 7800 asteroids and random warps which I've mentioned elsewhere and jittery paddles on the plus that play absolutely smooth on real hardware. Other than that I've been enjoying the plus
  18. I've never noticed it on a real 7800. On the 2600+, I tried a europad and two modded nes pads but the warps were random in intervals. Sometimes a few seconds apart, sometimes a minute or more.
  19. Well that's disappointing as 7800 support was a big draw for this over, say, the retron. I've personally only tried 4 games, centipede, food fight, and donkey kong run fine but asteroids is unplayable with the phantom random hyperspace jumps without a button press. I would assume other two button games may exhibit odd behavior but have yet to try them
  20. Would this explain the random warps in 7800 asteroids with no button press on the europad?
  21. Yes I noticed the reverse button issue too. I wonder if this is an issue that can be fixed via firmware updates because the random warps make one of my favorite 7800 games unplayable on the +
  22. My europad isn't working great with asteroids 7800. For some reason my ship will randomly hyperspace without a button press. Doesn't happen on original hardware. Odd I'm the only one this seems to be happening to
