Yamo's new color looks great.

That single reply has far more valuable information for Atarians than a 12 minute video. - Y -

Now, back to the topic. Some might find this useful: https://bit.ly/3yx64pc

My algorithm reacts to your pathetic promotion strategy. And yes, my comments equal the "sophistication" of the post... - Your bodyguard- 🚨

There we go again...

A guiltless confession! Let me call the cops, @emkay 🤣 BTW, if you could add the flaming phoenix maneuver, please consider me for a deluxe cart as well... 😎

Atari 8 Bit games that really pushed the hardware?
Yautja replied to SegaSnatcher's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Bop'n Wrestle - big sprites with somehow fluent movement; and more than 20 different attacks to perform, despite the buggy controls and lack of colors variety. Kennedy Approach - digitized voice and so many arrivals and departures to control at once. Never understood how Atari's small memory could handle all that. A real nightmare. -
Curiously, I did mentioned the name of this great game in the previous thread about "Last Squadron", as it's not only similar to "Terra Cresta" in music but also in the ground design, bases and some other sprites. Neither me, but emulation and YT videos are valuable sources to learn from... Anyway, this made me remember when I asked «mariusz» to use his ZX converter to port "Terra Cresta" but told me it couldn't do such "miracle".

Seems that you are not much into shoot 'em-ups, as *this game* is pretty well-known...

Has anybody been have to reproduce this trick using emulators? I gave it a shot with Altirra, without results. Gary Rimmer, the author of the game, commented in this video: "I wish Firebird had done that (keep the music playing) on the original. It ads a lot to the game. I don't know how to do it, but from other posts I've seen it could be done".

So we've got "dinosaurs" like in... that game... 🤐

Harrier Attack / Converting from poor tape
Yautja replied to wesmond's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Ok, this is my best score so far... I've discovered that you *must not* bomb your own ship. And sometimes, you will just get killed as soon as starting the level. Besides that, the program seems to crash after six minutes of playing it. -

Harrier Attack / Converting from poor tape
Yautja replied to wesmond's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
In Altirra, F2 ... (Start) = fires missile / drops a bomb F3 ... (Select) = land / go down F4 ... (Option) = take off / go up Can't figure out how to slow down or speed up the plane. -
So, what happened to this project?
-
BTW, this is my current configuration. The results is a poor quality recording.

Hello, What is the best configuration to record video in the emulator? Thanks in advance for your recommendations. - Y -

A song with POKEY sounds, released today!
Yautja replied to Probabilitydragon's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I'd be very cool if you could share a photo of the Atari 600XL and the 1064 module. I wonder how you made them contribute to the video - a non technical explanation will be very welcome. Regards, - Y - -
You MUST, master Vitoco.

Depending on your approach, you could also take into account these ones: https://bit.ly/3ubKinO - Y -

Cool themed Atari 8-bit scarves from Retro Venture!
Yautja replied to grey/msb's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Those scarves look great. One question: the motto "Power without the price", doesn't it belong to the ST line? - Y - -
