That single reply has far more valuable information for Atarians than a 12 minute video.

My algorithm reacts to your pathetic promotion strategy.
And yes, my comments equal the "sophistication" of the post...

A guiltless confession! Let me call the cops, @emkay 🤣
BTW, if you could add the flaming phoenix maneuver, please consider me for a deluxe cart as well... 😎

Bop'n Wrestle - big sprites with somehow fluent movement; and more than 20 different attacks to perform, despite the buggy controls and lack of colors variety.
Kennedy Approach - digitized voice and so many arrivals and departures to control at once. Never understood how Atari's small memory could handle all that. A real nightmare. -

Curiously, I did mentioned the name of this great game in the previous thread about "Last Squadron", as it's not only similar to "Terra Cresta" in music but also in the ground design, bases and some other sprites.

Neither me, but emulation and YT videos are valuable sources to learn from...
Anyway, this made me remember when I asked «mariusz» to use his ZX converter to port "Terra Cresta" but told me it couldn't do such "miracle".

You seem to think what ever you are referring too is widely known enough for people to just automatically know what you are referring too. I've never even seen or played a scrolling shooter with dinosaurs, on any system or arcade and have no clue at all what you are referring too.
Seems that you are not much into shoot 'em-ups, as *this game* is pretty well-known...

I used to leave the music roll until the demo loop . Then by pressing reset I could enjoy the game while listening to the soundtrack(No sound FX).
At first I was trying to shoot everything on the screen, but when I read the goal of the game on the tape cover, I understood that it was a "fly through/escape" game and I started avoiding most of the "enemies". Trying to stay alive makes it a much easier game to finish.
Has anybody been have to reproduce this trick using emulators? I gave it a shot with Altirra, without results.
Gary Rimmer, the author of the game, commented in this video: "I wish Firebird had done that (keep the music playing) on the original. It ads a lot to the game. I don't know how to do it, but from other posts I've seen it could be done". -

Any news so far?

Ok, this is my best score so far... I've discovered that you *must not* bomb your own ship. And sometimes, you will just get killed as soon as starting the level.
Besides that, the program seems to crash after six minutes of playing it.

In Altirra,
F2 ... (Start) = fires missile / drops a bomb
F3 ... (Select) = land / go down
F4 ... (Option) = take off / go up
Can't figure out how to slow down or speed up the plane.

So, what happened to this project?

Hello,
What is the best configuration to record video in the emulator?
Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

The Atari 600XL (with a 1064) was used for many of the sounds here, as well as the visuals.
a quiz - which POKEY distortion setting did I mostly use?
that’s an easy question for you guys I reckon. But can you name the A8 drum sequencer I used in the second verse?
I hope I won’t find myself banned for ruthless self promotion 😉 I hope you guys instead appreciate my humble efforts for spreading A8 love here in Finland... where tha ATARI 8 bits were pretty much unknown even back in the day as this was Commodore country then!
I'd be very cool if you could share a photo of the Atari 600XL and the 1064 module. I wonder how you made them contribute to the video - a non technical explanation will be very welcome.

To fix both issues, load the MENU.BAS program, copy the line 175 as 165 and save it again as both MENU.BAS and AUTORUN.BAS (or copy the updated menu to replace the autorun using the DOS).
I could fix the ATR in my site, but it is the official one... Should I?
You MUST, master Vitoco.

Those scarves look great.
One question: the motto "Power without the price", doesn't it belong to the ST line?

The rest are mostly "cosmetic" modifications or add very little to the gameplay.
