  1. I’m happy to inform you that the manual for "The Hunt" is available also in a printable version on the website http://alamak0ta.webuda.com/thehunt.html

The recommended version for download is the "Booklet manual" for double-side printing. It fits on a single folded A4 page. Enjoy! :-)

Would you please post the manual's images in the forum?

I also offer myself to translate it into spanish -if you provide the original files.

    Regards,

Hi, greetings from Venezuela. Thanks for this great piece of software. I turned back in time 30 years ago!! Thanks. I downloaded Altirra 2.30 in a Windows 8 64 bits Lenovo Yoga 13. It ran nicely Karateka (Broderbund :-) ), but I can't figure how to use the arrow keys to emulate joystick ... I can toggle run/attack mode (Space bar), and in attack mode can punch/kick low/mid/high with the QAZ WSX keys, but don't know how to use the joystick emulation.

Of course I set the mapping for arrow keys, but still don't work, any clues?

Thanks again for this great great job!!

ATARI (Yes, that's mi nickname from 30 years ago :-)

  3. Exactly! Now it works fine -at least with two versions of the game. The previous code had the computer locked up.

So, we can use the Turbo Freezer code in emulators using the monitor and "c" replacing the $ symbol?

Maybe you should enter what was written here.... c 2d6f ea ea ;) The d2 instruction is illegal instruction, probably will lock up computer (when your energy decrease). If you wanted to have more lives which are stored in $d2 memory you should enter c d2 d2 (even that d2 is strange to the game and it will show garbage but then counts from 99 lives to zero).

  4. Problem here is the difference.

There's so many versions around of the same game.

And Emulators? That's easy because you just have to enter those values in Emulator's Monitor.

But it's simple but there's differences from one to another.

I tried to help Yauthja and just 'shot'!...

Then I opened Atari800WinPlus Emulator and couldn't enter the values. Because in this one Emulator you just put the values without ? Hex sign. Only change thir $ into C in the left side line Memory/Line Adress.

You´re totally right, Jose. Unfortunately, I have loads of job to take on these days. My compromise is to put your advices in practice this weekend and, with the results, write an article for my blog -so other atarians can learn about POKES.

    Best regards,

  5. In Emulator AtariWinPlus click on top menu 'Miscellaneous' and scroll to 'Monitor'. Click here and a new, a black window will open.

In this window just post each line you see with those values and ENTER at the end of each one.

When all are entered just write:

cont and click ENTER. You will return to the game with the changes made.

Thank you very much. I will give it a shot ASAP.

  6. When you finish the first two contests in disk 71 and then attach disk 72 (to continue to biathlon), nothing happens... tested using Atari800WinPLus 4.0

answer from HOMESOFT about disks 71 and 72:

"You need only the main program of Winter Olympiad 88 to start the game

(this is what you see in the disk menu of disk 71).

The parts in the list are not visible in the game menu but still there (disk 71 and 72).

When you play the game, it will load the several contests from disk..."

  7. I apologize for this... It was my BD yesterday, so I was kinda in a hurry at home ;)

WIll try to record a second video in Altirra ;-)

It's a pity that the video wasn't captured from Altirra. As AFAIK only Altirra displays the "PAL blending" in the morons logo.

And the real thing of course as long as it is connected to a PAL TV :)
