Yes, the name of the file is right. I renamed it to player.dta. Now let me know if it is still necessary to convert it using the makeATR program. I was reviewing the videos posted at the beginning of this thread and noticed all have the same "anonymous" player. - Y -
-
Ok. I created the user, the DAT file and downloaded it. But, before and after playing, the program still reads as Player: Anonymous. - Y -

BTW, I´ve just noticed that the system does not recognize that I have an active account. No matter if I enter my user name and a different password than log on. Maybe I have to disable the browser´s (Chrome) translation? - Y -
-
I made it up to point three. Cannot find the PLAYER.DTA file to download. I had already downloaded the games before -and with your help, have them running on Altirra. Sorry for being annoying but I have to rely on Google translate for polish. - Y - - Y -

Great! Now it works. Then, where do I register in order to have my records uploaded?
-
Ok, I followed your advice.. this is what I get using Altirra 2.20 What am I missing? - Y -
-
This is what I get using Atari800WinPLus... And this... no game at all,.. is this patch for Altirra only? - Y -

Althought I´m whatever but a musician, what program could I use in order to create some song in A8?
-
Same issue here. Perhaps any kind soul around...

And the results of the compo? Any news?

I think this can be useful: http://www.sharpfile.com http://shareflare.net http://rapidgator.net - Y -

I talk about the Atari 8bit manuals (especially those about games). Regards, - Y -
-
Would you please upload somewhere the manuals? I couldn´t download all the files and there are many docs I´d like to get. - Y -
-
And how to do that? (I mean: how to wrap the emulator?) - Y -
-
Just found this blog with some portable games: http://juegosclasicosportables.blogspot.com/search/label/Atari%20800XL Does anybody have the idea on how to turn an a8 game into portable? - Y -
-
I apologize for the total off-topic but, just by chance, is there a way to download the complete c64 games database? They provide this link: http://gamebase64.hardabasht.com/games/ and one has to download one by one. - Y -

Finally! I could load this BASIC file in both Altirra and Atari800WinPLus: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-1040-terminator_13.html BTW, I remember that I got all my BASIC games from the huge file from http://atarionline.pl/. It might be good to review which ones are corrupted. - Y -
-
I´ve just tried with the games in this page: http://www.jensberke.de/atari.htm And all I get is error -21. :S And even more strange: I´m getting different line errors in other files from http://atarionline.pl/ - Y -

As someone said before, the LIST command showed me nothing. So here are the three .BAS files I´m trying to load in (any) emulator: - Y - BAS files Yautja.zip

I´m getting really mad with this. I downloaded the last version of Altirra and the files you provided me. And the files load. BUT, then I get an error message. It happens with the three files I´m testing. - Y -
-
I guess I´m close to it in AtariWin800PLus. I activated the H: patch in the Settings and was able to LOAD the file. But when I entered RUN, nothing happens. Any idea? - Y -
-
I just found this video... but for an unknown reason, when I load (even the same) program, it will not autorun. And nothing happens if I type RUN.
-
No use, sad to say. I don´t understand the usage of makeATR. Had no idea it was so hard to load BAS files in emulators.
-
I read the thread but seems there was no precise answer to the question.I´ve just downloaded the program and will try it.
-
So you mean I have to convert the BAS file into ATR? I search for the program you mentioned and was not able to find it for download. For Atariwinplus 4: First you have to have the ROM files, in the ROM folder. Four ROM files, ATARIOSA.ROM, ATARIOSB.ROM and ATARIXL.ROM and ATARIBAS.ROM. You really don't need OSA and OSB, they are for the 800 emulation. You point to the ROM files in Atari800winplus 'Atari' menu item ROM images..., usually in a ROM directory where you put your AWPlus. After you have the ROM files, you need a DOS file you load in the Atari menu 'disk drives...'. You put your DOS file in D1:. Then you select 'machine type' in the Atari menu, select XL/XE. ' . Then you uncheck the 'disable BASIC when booting' in the 'options', you want BASIC enabled. Then you boot the DOS disk with the cold start of 'Reset. Then, you get the 'READY' prompt and you LOAD or RUN your .BAS file. You have to put the .BAS file on the DOS disk you are using. This is done with a utility called 'MakeATR'. Or you get an .ATR that already has the BASIC program you want on it. MakeATR only works on SpartaDOS disks, I think. There are other utilities to put a .BAS file into a DOS .ATR. eg. RUN "D:MYPROG.BAS". Here's the ROMs:
