    3. xxl.atari.pl/?p=1000 : select the game and download your PLAYER.DTA file

    4. play, make sure you set R/W for disk (&reset for save score)

    5. atari.pl/u.php : upload PLAYER.DTA until hiscore.com (xautorun) do not generate DATAMATRIX code

    6. atari.pl/hsc/1up.php?i=X.Y : USERBAR where X-playerID,Y-gameID

I made it up to point three. Cannot find the PLAYER.DTA file to download. I had already downloaded the games before -and with your help, have them running on Altirra.

Sorry for being annoying but I have to rely on Google translate for polish.

  2. Those need the Altirra MAPRAM support

To be honest you really should swap to Altirra anyway as its now streets ahead of Win Plus in emulation quality and features.

Ok, I followed your advice.. this is what I get using Altirra 2.20

    What am I missing?

  3. Then i was lucky to download the Atari gamebase, just days before it was removed. I got it working, and i like it. Didnt play any game, only tested some....

Would you please upload somewhere the manuals? I couldn´t download all the files and there are many docs I´d like to get.

  4. Yautja, looking at your screenshots, I realized that you're using an older version of the emulator altirra.

Automatic loading bas files was added in version 2.1 emulator.

Use the latest version of the emulator:

    http://www.virtualdu...-2.20-test3.zip

I also encourage you to create a configuration file in your folder emulator and put all the images of the BIOS.

can use my settings file bios-images that I use.

just unzip the archive to a folder emulator: http://depositfiles....files/oucoiwzid

I was very surprised to see the video that I've been creating :)

that's how easy it is now open bas files in the emulator altirra: http://youtu.be/iks-LrRnCXg

I´m getting really mad with this. I downloaded the last version of Altirra and the files you provided me. And the files load. BUT, then I get an error message. It happens with the three files I´m testing.

  5. So you mean I have to convert the BAS file into ATR? I search for the program you mentioned and was not able to find it for download.

    Hi there,

Can anybody p.l.e.a.s.e. explain me how to load BASIC files in any emulator? I having problems with Atari800WinPLus and Altirra.

Thanks in advance for your help,

    For Atariwinplus 4:

First you have to have the ROM files, in the ROM folder. Four ROM files, ATARIOSA.ROM, ATARIOSB.ROM and ATARIXL.ROM and ATARIBAS.ROM. You really don't need OSA and OSB, they are for the 800 emulation.

You point to the ROM files in Atari800winplus 'Atari' menu item ROM images..., usually in a ROM directory where you put your AWPlus. After you have the ROM files, you need a DOS file you load in the

Atari menu 'disk drives...'. You put your DOS file in D1:. Then you select 'machine type' in the Atari menu, select XL/XE. ' . Then you uncheck

the 'disable BASIC when booting' in the 'options', you want BASIC enabled. Then you boot the DOS disk with the cold start of 'Reset. Then, you get the 'READY' prompt and you LOAD or RUN your

.BAS file. You have to put the .BAS file on the DOS disk you are using. This is done with a utility called 'MakeATR'. Or you get an .ATR that already has the BASIC program you want on it.

MakeATR only works on SpartaDOS disks, I think. There are other utilities to put a .BAS file into a DOS .ATR.

eg. RUN "D:MYPROG.BAS". Here's the ROMs:

  6. I made it to point 3. But will not get the READY prompt, Instead, was shown this Atari Memo Pad: http://s17.postimage.org/7tes7hhtr/altirra1.jpg

    What´s wrong?

Yes, you can do it by booting from a DOS ATR image, but it might be simpler to do this:-

    1. Assuming you've got a good recent/latest version of Altirra...

    2. Presumably you have your system ROMS, and a basic Rom setup in System, Firmware, ROM Images? If not... google for the Atari ROMS and point to them here.

    3. In System Firmware, check you have "Basic (boot without option)" ticked, so when you run Altirra, you get the "READY" prompt.

    4. I like to set up the H: handler - go to System, Host Device (H:), and choose a folder on your hard drive where you'd like to put BASIC files. C:\Atari\BAS for example.

    5. Download/copy your BAS files into whatever folder you chose there...

    6. LOAD "H:FILE.BAS"

(Simlar for SAVE "H:NEWFILE.BAS", LIST, ENTER - etc...)
