  1. Looks like your TV is having trouble displaying moments when the sprites are flickering.
  2. I ended up rewiring mine so the second button is now 7800 compatible.
  3. Just watched a bunch of demo levels of Keystone Kapers (NTSC) and I am not seeing any stuttering or hesitating. Very smooth even when the carts and airplanes start going double speed. I am on beta 1.1. I am starting to wonder, are all 2600+ units built equally?
  4. A video would be worth a thousand words.
  5. Interesting that you mention to also run ground to pin 8... I will do the same as I don't see this mentioned anywhere else. Question... for testing the voltage inside the ADAM, where do you recommend testing at internally?
  6. Why? Wouldn’t you just use the joystick to move something in the cardinal directions? And are there no dedicated and nicely labeled Start/Select/Option/Help/Reset buttons?
  7. This is a known issue with some white shelled Coleco carts. Until this is fixed, all Coleco carts are questionable. @Ben from Plaion has mentioned they are working on a fix. see here for details:
  8. How many games did you order and what day did you order?
  9. Thanks for the info. I will rewire this for two-button 7800 also as it's an excellent joystick.
  10. I was surprised to find that the main fire button on the Epyx 500XJ two-button joystick does not work at all with the 2600+. The joystick part works great. But the main (A) fire button does not work. There is also a second (B) button but I did not expect that to work at all and of course it does not. I tried both 2600 and 7800 games. This same joystick's main (A) button works great on the original 2600 and original 7800. Anyone else have luck with this one?
  11. Looking forward to giving the next beta a spin.
  12. I hope that whoever has Ben's role on The 400 Mini is as caring and passionate as Ben! Ben's participation and interaction on this forum has been amazing! Hoping that person engages in the AtariAge Atari 8-Bit forum (or its coming sub-forum?) as much as Ben has here.
  13. But there are 5 firing angles in 2600 Tac-Scan.
  14. @Ben from Plaion any thoughts on this one? Two people running the same game on the same version of 2600+ firmware but getting drastically different results. Are there any 2600+ hardware differences out there? My serial number is 27603 purchased directly from Atari.com when they took preorders and I am in the USA. @Dionoid what is yours?
  15. Wow. That is quite a difference! How can that be? I also have the AtariDumper1.1.0.4.exe dumper update that Ben posted a couple of days ago. Does yours have that too?
  16. Here is a video of NTSC California Games on beta 1.1. First is original 2600, second is new 2600+. Other than volume levels (2600+ is quieter), I don't see or hear any difference. Can you post a video of yours performing differently?
  17. I can confirm that the new 2600+ and the original 2600 are playing the music at the beginning of NTSC California Games at the exact same speed. Please note, even on the original 2600, there are parts where it sounds like it is skipping. This skip or off beat timing happens on ORIGINAL hardware also.
  18. Imagine, if you will, a build where you could access the settings via a switch combination and a joystick controlled GUI... then you could try all the different settings with one build. "You may say I'm a dreamer... but I'm not the only one..."
  19. Sounds like an easy fix for @Ben from Plaion and team.
  20. My guess is 0104 = January 4.... and 1225 = December 25.
  21. Sounds like the Stella on the 2600+ should be updated to correct this.
  22. Why? It's a joystick game. https://atariage.com/manual_html_page.php?SoftwareLabelID=481
  23. Confirmed. The music on Journey Escape is not emulating properly (during gameplay) on the 2600+.
