Had my toenail permanently removed yesterday... This makes the 4th time thios toenail has come off in my life... Man this sucks. I thin k it hurts more this time as they put acid into the root, so it can't grow back.

  I had a part of an ingrown nail on my left big toe removed, and it's been fine ever since. Old school podiatrist who went to town on removing the nail bed. The right foot has been problematic (too dainty of a podiatrist).

  When I was 4 I dropped a can off food on my right big toe and when I was 16 I had to have my nail removed twice and have surgery to remove bone spurs. Now it is still giving me problems and this time it was growing backwards so we decided it best to take it off for good.
