  1. I have read similiar rules, but more in depth. You are not allowed to post an ended auction until like a week after it ended so people can't contact the seller before they ship item. However if you are the seller you can post your auction while it is live. I do agree auction links such as this shouldn't even be posted.
  2. Goldenband thats a nice pick-up. That snes Zelda guide is worth a lot! Even though it looks a bit warped that thing will still pay for the lot. I just sold a really nice copy for $80 shipped. You can get an easy $40-$50 for that thing.
  3. He already bought one from me. Well a reply/update from OP would have been nice. I took the time to offer, he could take the time to reply. This just means in future I won't waste my time offering.
  4. Well obviously you are not to bright from you post. Let me just state the obvious, if no one else bids it doesn't matter if you retract your bid or not as the item will NOT sell regardless. Thats because..... wait for it..... The reserve is NOT met!
  5. Blockbuster died from Redbox. Maybe it's time to make a "Gamebox" On a side note if you block a member will that hide all their post lol? If not does subscribing get you that kind of filtering?
  6. Wow man. AGREEEEEEEED. Yes I know I would have to look at his personal email. I have already stated above I have changed my opinion on this topic slighty. What more do you want?????
  7. First off until you see the email kenny sent, you have no idea what his intentions were. Secondly prove that "whomever" you say marillion, I'll take your word for it I guess. Prove they were trying to conduct an outside sale of ebay. Now to answer a previous question which directly relates to this topic. I just called ebay and asked "If you have a an auction style listing and are contacted by a member asking if you will sell the current auction at a Higher BIN price is it within ebays terms to end that listing early while you consider relisting at the higher BIN? I ask this because under policy is says you are only allowed to end a listing and sell at Current price." She replied: "Yes that is allowed the reason you ended the listing would be because there is an error in the listing price, you can relist at the correct price you wish to sell item at." Therfore unless we see emails we don't know what was being said. Playing this guessing game is not going to get us anywhere. Therefore it is quite possible the side deal was working it's way through a legitimate ebay sale abiding by all rules set forth by ebay. AssUMe they are trying to conduct an illegal sale is why this thread is 2 pages in now repeating itself over and over.
  8. Wow I've never heard a Gameboy referred to as a DMG. I have however heard of a Nintendo being referred to as an Nes-001 Please let it be an Nes-001 Please....YES!
  9. If you have 64-bit windows 7 try the 64 bit version. On a side note, I'm not familiar with this but does this require an actual install? Because if you just copy and pasted the "folder" contents you are not going to have any registry files and what not. Generally you can't transfer programs the way you described. Just download and install properly and it will probably work. It sounds like you basically dragged and dropped which doesnt work for programs.
  10. I was guessing Downloaded Mario Games.
  11. I understand what you are saying now CPUWIZ (sometimes things take awhile for me to fully grasp what people are talking about) and in this scenario it kinda makes sense, since the seller ended item early and it had no bids. In that sense may the best side deal win. So I guess I will change my opinion on this a bit. However if seller had already agreed to a side deal beforehand, then I wouldn't approve. It's a gray area and you can't know what the seller has already agreed to so I guess go at it. If it was a completed listing that someone won via a BIN or what not. I would not be ok w/someone contacting seller and interfering w/the transaction at all, regardless if they sold an air raid for $10 or not.
  12. If they bought and sold vintage games in the store, it would effectively kill yardsales and craigslist finds by a drastic number, if may even cause mom and pop shops to close down. However if they are only doing an online thing, it means nothing really. It wont do anything but take away sales from other online retailers. If the gamestop stores take them in as trade however in the physical retail location to send them to the massive distribution online center to sell online then that would hurt everything mentioned above. A lot of people are willing to trade vintage for new. This is how I get all my new stuff. I get vintage on the cheap and trade in for new.
  13. First off it wasn't me. I don't scour ebay like that and look for deals that way. Thats not too say I wouldn't. I most certainly would if I stumbled across an item and was able to get a sweet deal on it. Secondly I understand the situation is a bit different BUT the principles are the same. You may not agree thats fine. Like jtoubeaux has mentioned above once a seller makes a deal they shouldn't back out of it. I did have my questions regarding why kenny emailed him as well, I just didn't say anything. I will say it is my assumption (I could be wrong) that he was probably trying to backdoor the potential (side deal) buyer on cannon man alone and seller finally researched what he/she had and then declined to make either trade and then listed the game.
  14. The true def. of being backdoored is say you won an auction for $50 and the auction was a hell of a deal via misrepresented auction or a low bin where someone didn't know what they were selling. Then someone emails seller and offers more, seller then cancels transaction and sells to higher buyer. Is it fair that because seller didn't do the research that you shouldn't get what you paid for? Same scenario here seller had an item for sale. Was offered an amount for said items and before seller sent, seller was contacted by an outside party and forfeited on the transaction. It's bad on the part of the seller and the person who interrupted the sale.
  15. Dude what? How is it possible to backdoor a seller? You mean if someone was selling something for a higher price then someone told the buyer to buy it from another seller for a lower price. I guess that would be backdooring a seller. Anyhow, back to the thread.
  16. I'd be half tempted on going for it. Worst case scenario it's a repro or what not and thats automatic buy back. edit: nm there goes that idea. Seller ended listing early.
  17. LOL dude what does it matter? What does that have to do with anything? This is about a guy backdooring a potential sale. Whether the sale is on ebays rightful terms has nothing to do with it. The guy killed a potential "good deal" for someone, thats what the discussion is about now. Man you guys love to take topics and sway them to compeltely different topics. He backdoored. It is frowned upon by many "not just me". Whether he was backdooring a sale that wasn't in ebays terms means nothing. The buyer as well as the seller were making a transaction that was interrupted and as a result the buyer no longer got the deal he was otherwise going to get.
  18. LOL please don't go qouting me what is allowed on ebay and what isn't. My account is a decade old. I know whats allowed. You don't know if they were working out a bin price or not. I would have ended the auction early as well if I was working out a bin price, just because soon as auction gets a bid you can't make it a BIN. It creates more headache than it is worth.
  19. The auction did end. It was ended by the seller. Not much diff. than having them change to a bin and buying it that way. Owell, whats done is done. I don't agree with what happened, but it is what it is.
  20. Well I don't want to get off topic, because this is a whole diff. topic. However in this day and age if you sell something w/out looking it up you have nobody to blame but yourself. If grandma can do an auction, grandma can check values as well. It's my opinion if you don't want to take the time to see the value of what you are selling, thats your fault, ebay, craigslist, or what not. edit: as far as would I feel bad for her, sure... but it is what it is.
  21. How would you like getting a deal on something and right before you get the item someone runs up and says "don't sell that for that it's worth more". It would be simliar to being at a yard sale and making a deal for an item and in the middle of the transaction some runs up and says "I'll give you more". Wouldn't that get you mad? I've had this kind of thing happen numerous times where I make a deal for some games on craigslits and I'll drive 20 minutes and almost be there to have my phone ring just so they can tell, me "sorry I was offered more". Once an auction has ended and a seller has made an agreement to sell an item, outsiders shouldn't interfere with the transaction. It's not nice.
  22. You're right your solution doesn't work. Search "no cd crack" and "key gen". Yes you have demonstrated that logging in to verify your account doesn't jive with you.... ok, don't play lol? I have not attempted to make you look like a pirate and in all honestly I could care less if you are. Bottom line it's blizzards game and they can run however they feel fit. Blizzard has adapted and learned over past experiences and this is the method they chose to you implement ant-icheating/piracy and thats how it is. You feel they will fail, I don't. Having dealth w/cheaters on previous games and knowing all the ins and outs of what people do to cheat/pirate I understand the strict measures needed in this day and age when dealing w/ a completely digital game. I wish all multi-player games had such strict measures to prevent cheaters. edit: just because I took the pic, this is on the box.
  23. Dude I'm not following you around trying to get a reaction out of you. I did NOT say, you only disagree because you wanted to cheat. I said the meaures are there because people (not you) but people will cheat/pirate if they can find a way. I said it does not matter if your intentions are good, other peoples intentions are NOT. They can't make you happy when it will allow others to obtain the game illegally and/or allow them benefits to multiplay that they didn't rightfully earn. My last comment was in response to you qouting me stating what you wanted to say, not what I actually said. (for next part I replaced "you" w/someone because I don't want you to think I'm personally attacking you again.) Please tell me, what is the solution you would like where "someone" can play single player until their hearts content never ever logging in to verify that "someone else" is not playing on someone elses account using same cd key? I know we could only allow each cd key to be installed to a single pc and when owners pc dies and they get a new one...well they can buy a new game, because that key has already been used and this is the only viable option so "people" don't have to log in and verify they are playing a legal copy.
