This witch hunting of Yurkie is going to stop RIGHT NOW!!! We welcome customers of his to post to this thread giving feedback, positive or negative, on the service they have received. If customers of his have had issues in the past, it is up to Yurkie to resolve those issues. It is NOT up to the members of this community to witch hunt him or any other member of this community. That behavior will not be tolerated. Have I made myself clear?
It's not a witch hunt. When a known member takes peoples items and does not provide services and keeps people items and money, that is stealing! I don't see anyone offering props to Swampfox for doing the same shit. If he even tried to offer services on this site you would have 50 different people and moderators chiming in!
I as well find it absurd new members (whomever they are) should be allowed to post in active threads in a manner to bump past and "hide" such actions.
While it is Yurkies responsibility to fix his wrongs I do not see it ok that we just sit back and allow him to take on new work while other members have not had their situations resolved.
Do whatever you want, I'll stay out of the thread but don't blame me in a few months when you have 10 more people who get taken for! It's all about who you know I guess. If you know the right people who will stick up for you, you can do whatever you want w/out consequences.

I believe that was determined to NOT be the case just a few posts back. I am not taking any side or view on this, Just reading.
Wrong! The only thing that was determined was that it came from different IP's. It doesn't mean he doesn't have friends/family/fellow thieves in his thief group posting for him.

Uhmmm - wait...
You ONLY want to hear from the 'NEGATIVE' side? (and not the 'POSITIVE'?)
This sounds really one sided to me!
ALL should be aloud to voice their opinions - let the customer decide - I have had NOTHING but great service from Todd (sometimes at his cost for my problem).
Wrong he HAS positive feedback given already not only in the beginning of this thread but in others as well. What he has done in the PAST has absolutely no reference on his CURRENT situation. What matters right now is who's property he has and whom he took money from w/out providing them services.
Trying to cover up the people he has screwed w/positive replies is not going to fly. He can receive positive replies once he fixes the people he has screwed over! Nobody gives a shit how good his work WAS or whether or not he provides great services in the past or future. Right now the only thing that matters is the people he has screwed over.

Second picture my unusual not KV but KD series KD-27FS170. This TV a rare find produced at the end of the Trinitron era. SD TV with 1080i tube!
We have to disagree on this. The manual only states 480i.
https://docs.sony.com/release/kd27fs170.pdf
I looked this up a lot and in my searches most everyone says this TV only has a 480i tube. It accepts a 1080i input but displays it in 480i.
It is still my fav. TV and I have two of them now, but I do not believe it has a 1080i tube.
check this out from back in 2009

Well I know myself. I personally don't like to spend money lol. I purposely refuse to get a newer phone because I don't want to pay for it. That is not say I would not enjoy it.
As far as TV's go had I not been given a 1080p flat screen TV 3 years ago and made adjustments in my living room to accommodate such a TV I likely would still be watching TV on a CRT using a converter box to bring in OTA signals. You can't miss what you are not use to. With that said my recent 4K TV is nice and I can see blades of grass lol.
If you are happy w/the picture you have and mainly watch DVD's anyhow and don't game on newer systems. Having a newer TV wouldn't be a priority, even if you can get them for $200.
While I like my newer TV it does have disadvantages too. It doesn't support old tech. I had to buy a special optical cable and converter box so I can run my older surround sound system on it. However doing so the volume is much less, I have to use volume 20 now where as before volume 10 was what I used.
So the tech you can use on newer TV's as well plays a role in why someone may not want to upgrade. Upgrading a TV means more than just upgrading a TV.

My question was related more to why you wouldn't want to replace a CRT with even a decent, regular old 1080p display,
Are you sure the people who have a CRT do not have a 1080 one? A well made 1080i or 1080p CRT would display a very good picture. Some CRT's are HD.

What I'd LOVE to know is that for you handful of guys who state that a CRT TV is your sole TV, why that is? Like what has stopped you from getting a new TV in all these years, especially considering the relatively low prices for some pretty nice sets these days. I'm not even talking 4K HDR/DolbyV sets here, but regular old 1080p-level sets. I can imagine it must take some pretty herculean efforts and significant compromises to rock a small glass screen these days considering most content is optimized for widescreens and at least 720p/1080i resolutions, as well as HDMI connections.
Well for me while I do have a newer 4K TV I got last December. My view is this. This new 4K, Blu-ray and such really don't offer mind blowing images compared to a well made CRT running lower resolution content. If you take a plain DVD and play on a CRT the picture looks fine. Only when you start blowing images up on 60" TV's does this higher resolution media even matter.
Most over the air broadcast do not come in 4k, 1080 is about the best you get and if you are like me and don't pay for high priced Cable TV service having a TV that can accept 4K is kind of pointless when you don't run 4K content.
It's just like the PC tech. Back when resolution was 800x600 those pictures looks amazing. Display a picture on an older computer and it is super crisp. Nowadays running 1280x1024 and higher, you now need newer cameras that takes pictures in higher resolution.
Technology purposely tries to make good stuff obsolete so you are forced into buying new stuff. Unless you buy into it, pairing the appropriate media to the appropriate hardware yields great results.

I have (2) KD-27FS170 and (1) KV-32FV300. These are really good TV's. There is a KV-32FV310 which has an extra out but people complain it has very noticeable flicker.
I as well have another 19" or so Philips I think, but that will be gone soon as I find a free 20" Trinitron which I may have. I tried to nab a 14" Trinitron because I wanted my 32" and 27" to have a baby but the person said they would rather recycle it than give it to me for free LOL. They are asking $25 but I don't pay for these TV's, they are given away for free way too much in m area for me to pay.

I was looking for a modded system for a while now and someone recommended yurkie so i ordered a fully modded system from Todd a few weeks back, and he send me one the same week i ordered one.
I had no problems with communication.
The system looks absolutely like new and runs like a dream.
I have the rgb hooked up with a hdmi upscaler on my tv and it looks amazing.
I am very happy
THANKS Todd!!!!

Of course you did with your 3 week old account! Wow yurkie's the fn man. All these new people create accounts just to come in his threads and give him props.
On a side note which members system here did you buy?

I have the ICHEG liked on Facebook. It's only 30 minutes from me, if that. They have an event coming up.
I'm not going to go to this as I have zero interest in the switch or newer games in general but if any of you are in the area you might find it cool to get a first look at this new product.

This is a pretty expensive way to type.

I think you could have avoided a lot of the hate if you would have listed this in Auction central w/a link to the auction, then asking for offers.
However when you say stuff like "ill give you a great price below market plus shipping", people kind of want to see what that great price is, not make an offer.
So I think all the people here are still waiting for you to tell them that great price, and sorry but 10% below ebay will not be considered a great price to people, because that is just normal price.
Then again I don't think people really want to buy from you so it may not even matter.

Who hasn't. I was not happy w/Nintendo dropping the price on the 3DS after I paid the inflated price.... well I didn't actually pay, back then I was trading tons of stuff into a local game store for credit. I traded so much stuff they had to give me multiple gift cards. They said they needed to make a special diamond club membership just for me lol.
I was more so pissed over the roms they gave us as a thank-you for paying their high prices. Here take these 20 roms for games you already own. I guess it was a better gift to people who didn't have a huge game collection already. On the bright side yay I am an ambassador owner.
That leads me to my real disappointment, digital media. If it doesn't come in physical form they can shove it up their ass. Nintendo really sucks especially w/this tying your membership to console crap. Get a Nintendo Wii w/20 games and input your ID and lose all those games. Such BS.
It blows my mind people are willing to buy digital games, they can't resell/trade/do anything with just to save $10. Owell new stuff is not for me so these fools can spend their money however they want I guess.
-
I'm confused here. Are you people really still sending this guy shit to work on or is this stuff he has had for awhile?
-
That's good trade bait, unfortunately I think most people will find the deal breaker when they have to fork out $100+ to ship this stuff to you.

It's always rough when you deal with stuff from people you know. Like 7 years ago my neighbor lost his job and he had a sweet game collection and he talked to me about selling it. He had lots of N64 boxed games. Now back then n64 boxed stuff rarely added much value as compared to cart only. I ended up keeping all the boxed stuff and selling off my cart only. I looked up all his stuff and priced out what I would profit from if I sold it all online. I then handed him like $700 cash for it all, which is what I would have made after fees and shipping.
Say he had a Mario Kart, back then cart only may have been like $20 where complete might have been the same or $25. We are talking very little difference in cart vs boxed back then. I ended up selling some of his stuff, a lot of my cart only stuff and for stuff he had that I didn't and I wanted to keep, I ended up selling other items from my collection I didn't like as much until I got the $700 back.
He still claims I pocketed his collection. It really irritates me because I didn't make any money from selling his stuff for him at all. I handed him full cash value for what his stuff was worth at that time and put forth tons of my time to sell all of his stuff. I didn't make any money from selling his stuff. I was happy being able to pick and choose what I wanted to keep from his collection in exchange for selling it for him. What's more ridiculous is at the time he didn't think the stuff was worth even half that and he would have likely sold it for like $200 to anybody who offered.

lol I wouldn't need much. I could give a list of every game it could be LOL
You could limit my choices by telling me whether or not the pcb number has a B or J in it

-
Well they are 64k sram chips which limits what they can be. They are as well 36 pin mask roms so that as well limits what they can be.
How about NBA Live 96

I bought a retrogen a few months back, new off ebay for $17.99
At any rate, spider-man is incompatible w/the retrogen on the retro duo portable. Maybe others but that is just one game I tested on it and it would not work.

Does anybody else rock a CRT?

Ok here are a few pics of my TV's. The first will be my KV-32FV300 which is on a stand I grabbed for $30 but it is in like new condition. The stand I believe will fit the 2nd picture 27" TV better which is my KD-27FS170. Soon as it warms up here I will be cutting that nice circle black plywood and building a stand. Once the stand is built the 32" will go on that stand and the 27" will take over the stand the 32" is currently on.
