  1. I did that already. I have one person interested but I have a hard time selling stuff that I don't have proper info on, It appears most are garbage but the Tunnels of Doom may have some value. I see someone has been trying to get $50 plus $7 shipping and it did not sell so I can expect it to be worth less than that. This big box scholastic spelling level 6 is more so what I am having a really hard time getting a value on. I can't even find a loose cart available. One person did tell me it was designed for use in schools but that was about all the info he had. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/275269-is-this-stuff-worth-anything/
  2. Ok I nabbed this stuff a year or so ago from Goodwill I believe. I have no way of testing anything and some seem to be either missing cartridge or missing cassette. At any rate one would like to think the boxes alone would be worth something. I know most probably are not worth $5 but The big spelling module and Tunnels of Doom seem to maybe carry some value. I think the adventure game may be mixed up. The cassette says pirate adventure but the cartridge says adventure. Is this stuff even worth selling. I just obsessively hoard anything I see that is video game related but I have way too much stuff and stuff like this is not really my realm of collection and it just sits in a pile. ...
  3. It is worth having a GameCube for the sole purpose of using the Gameboy Player. Toss a modchip in it and be able to play any GC game you want for $1 as well.
  4. I was just cleaning up last night and ran across 8 boxed TI games. I have no zero desire to keep these things and don't even have a TI. I did a few ebay searches for them and was not finding what I had. I tossed them back on the shelf. Some people are happy posting stuff with best offer. I on the other hand am not. Say I list something that doesn't sell much and someone shoots me a best offer of $20 and then a month later I see it sell for $60. Yeah that uncertainty will keep me from selling stuff I have zero desires to keep. Plus I have zero way to test these things. They are cassettes or at least the few I looked at but I don't even have a cassette player anymore. So my thread would be really good. Best offer, untested LOL. That would never end well.
  5. Yes and that system means buying bulk for me. I buy 20 pin connectors at a time so I don't pay $12 each for them. Just like power supplies. I buy them 10 at a time so I can get them for $6 each. Doing so I just paid a few hundred but overall I am saving about half per each nes I sell. It's very hard to keep up on game prices and you have to know values fluctuate. January is the absolute worst month of the year to sell in. Tax season and Christmas are they heavy hitters. Summer slumps as well but right now immediately after everyone goes broke for xmas prices are down and people are not buying. My advise is don't hope to get something. KNOW what you will get and if by some chance the market changes and you get more that's a bonus. If you can't find stuff cheap don't buy it. It's simple. You don't "have" to purchase something just so you have something to resell. Invest your money in something you can sell. I see all sorts of game systems locally I could buy and break even on. What do I do instead? I spend my money on shit like zoo pals LOL. You know what my local Gamestores pays for an nes? $5. I shit you not, they literally pay $5 for a complete nes. Knowing this means that I have the upper hand when people are selling. I know they are bs me if they try and tell me they can get $40 at a gamestore. Break it down, set prices and walk away. If you can't make money then there is no point in doing it. I pass good buys all the time juts because it is not worth the drive time and gas.
  6. Well that is up to you but I personally would not buy an untested system for $30 and then spend $10 on a power supply and then $10 more on a game just so I could fix the zapper, controller, and system and "hope" to get $70. Best case scenario you profit $20 and you have $50 into this thing in the beginning "hoping" it just needed the pin connector fixed. Figure in pp fees and you are not even making $20 anymore. When I buy I expect to double my money w/the possibility of at least breaking even. If your system would have had something really wrong with it you would have lost money on the deal or at least put forth a lot more time making that $20 profit spread out of more labor. All of this is "hoping" you are getting $70 which might be hard.
  7. SWEET! I woke up last night at 4 AM, my boy got up and I had to use the bathroom and get a drink and yeah I was up. So I do what I always do when I get woken up at 4AM, crazy searches on craigslist. I searched Sega and found this bad boy for $30. The picture he posted was fuzzy he said it was wrinkled and it looked like it had tears in it. He OBVIOSLY took a picture with a 10 ear old phone. Lets just say I was amazed at how nice this thing is. The wrinkles are barely wrinkles and nothing on a 25 year old banner. This thing is almost perfect condition. It does seem to have what appears to be a line of pen on the one side (through HAM in Champions.) which I can probably get off. The Velcro date strip has rolled a bit but damn you are not getting this much nicer. This thing is HUGE, I never expected it to be so big it is 35"x26". I just so happened to have a factory sealed Eternal Champions kicking around so I tossed it in the pic to show how big this banner is. My wife asked me this morning if I was going to sell it. I said no, not this item. I don't sell extremely rare hard to find promo items like this. Rare games are one thing. Stuff like this I keep it all! Eternal Champions Sega Genesis Display Promotional Promo Wall Scroll Banner ...
  8. I sell Mario/duckhunt all the time w/no zapper. They made a billion of them. I even sell the Mario/duckhunt/trackmeet. People will not pay for a zapper or a pad in general. You just toss it in so they can play Mario. Mario is all people care about. It doesn't matter what cart or combo cart they pull Mario from.
  9. Well I'm finding them in bins I have had stored for 7-10 years lol. Occasionally I will find them on craigslist and such but I don't pay more than $20 for a unit w/ a controller and power. Don't even waste your time on zappers either. Most people can't use the damn things and don't want to pay anything for them. Most of the time I get a Nintendo w/like 20 games or so for $50. The stuff has dried up but luckily most of the people who are just trying to turn a quick buck have realized they have no damn clue about prices and they are loosing money and have stepped back some. Then when a real deal comes along I can scoop it up since they lost their ass on the last lot of common games.
  10. You over paid, especially w/no power. On a side note if you need Mario/duckhunts I can totally beat $10 each and I have a stack of them.
  11. LOL that is the first thing I look at when someone is selling a GC. I basically will not even buy one if it has an after market controller, but I only buy to mod and sell.
  12. Well to be honest I would sell that system locally for $30 and be happy. Those aftermarket controllers, nobody wants them. You can go online and get a Gamecube for $50 shipped w/ an official controller that is worth half the cost. I would say that lot isn't worth more than $65 shipped personally. Most those games are $5 shipped. People expect shipping savings on lots.
  13. In case anyone is interested. This is just a bulk add I placed locally. PP fees and shipping would be extra. If you want to see better pics of the genesis commons I can take those. I just drop my lots full of them so I get them out of my way. I just got a good deal on 200 genesis carts but half were stuff I have no use for. I technically am still waiting for a dreamcast a/v cable to come in so I can only sell one of the dreamcast lots right now. Ok the games are with each lot, price is as follows. Everything (except genesis commons) has been tested and works and will be complete sets even if the cords are not shown. The genesis games have not been tested only the sonic games. The genesis games besides the soncis will need pins cleaned. All systems, controllers, cords have been tested and work. Nes left $55 the r/f does not work only composite outs work, Has a new pin connector and lock-out disabled. has 4 games. Mario, battle chess, friday the 13th, and the three stooges White psone $50 has final fantasy 7 and 9, neither has manual and 7 is missing back art. The other two ps1's are $40 each. One has crash bash, spyro, and dbz ultimate battle 22. The other has spyro, spyro year of the dragon and harry potter. Dreamcast systems are $50 each. Both have two controllers (1 original and 1 aftermarket) and a vmu. One system comes w/soul reaver disc only. The other comes with crazy taxi and bass fishing. The nes on the right $60 Has a new pin connector and lock-out disabled. has 3 games. Mario/duckhunt, ice hockey, knight rider. ...
  14. I ended up just cancelling the sale. For one I have a bad taste over what happened. For two, he obviously did not want it bad enough that he went through a lot of trouble to get out of it paying for it w/out fallback. Finally it is not my practice to go through w/transactions that have the possibility of bad outcomes. At least he wasn't trying to scam me. In the future people just ask me to have your bid retracted, this was extremely unnecessary.
  15. That's a lot of emails if you get one for every user. Unless I misread that and you just mean you get an email when you are quoted.
  16. LOL, damn Junkyard. At any rate I might be willing to part w/an Intellivision 3, but I would likely just unload the system and all my games in a lot.
  17. Yes but since I went public I just see a bad ending either way.
  18. Yes, I originally posted it in the marketplace where the Bad Trader topic is. I mean this isn't an auction either but I guess posting anything in the Marketplace that is not "actually" selling is off limits and we need to squeeze stuff like this into other sections. Yes user feedback would have been ideal but would not generate any views either is the main problem.
  19. I don't think you get it. Dugdugnate is a member here, he bid on my item on ebay (not here) w/his ebay id of digdugnate_7, then he created a second ebay id called evelywaug_0 and outbid his digdugnate_7 account so he would lose the auction and just not pay w/the new account he made. Since I called him out over it just a few hrs ago, he apologized and then purchased the item I was selling. I had reslited it as a BIN w/immediate payment as I knew the auction bid sale was not going to get paid for. Odds are I will cancel the sale for a few reasons. I consider him a high risk buyer now for problems since he only purchased it after I found out what he did. I really can't go forth w/ a sale and worry about the outcome especially when we are talking like $150.
  20. Yep it appears so. I figured they could do internal investigations. I didn't bank on getting much info back. They did not give me his IP nor did I ask for it. I simply asked they do a trace on the IP on the non buyer and see if more accounts were associated with it. I had an open case so it was relevant information. I did not want other accounts being able to bid on my listings. I was thrown for a loop when I was told the other accounts ID.
  21. LOL sorry dude what forum would you like this moved too? It deals with buying and selling, where would you have liked it to be?
