I have quite the dilemma here. I had an auction and a member here bid on it. Then shortly before the listing ended a new ebay account created that day bid on it and took over as high bidder. That buyer won but never paid. Today I called ebay and asked for an IP trace to see if it was linked to other accounts. Imagine my surprise when it came back to be linked to the account of the original bidder. The person is DigDugNate who is a member here and has admitted to doing this and said he was sorry. He has repurchased from me, but honestly my trust for this member is not there after what has happened. I would like input on what you guys think. On one hand I want to just cancel all sales and block him. On the other hand he has admitted, said he was sorry and purchased. Thoughts?

Thank you Blaster for making me think you created that account so I would call ebay and start an investigation. I now know exactly what happened. I had ebay running IP searches and the IP of this new ebay username which has a bogus name and address in it is of the same IP as the initial bidder. DigDugNate whom is a member here bid on my listing, changed his mind and created a fake account to outbid himself. That's pretty fucked up dude!

Ok you still need to answer why you posted pics that were not of your items.

Bratwurst the images are clearly different boxes. On some level he is lying regardless. Look at the creases, dirt, and so forth. Hell the module 2 boxes are different variants.

And it is probably time for a moderator to kick you. These new images do not match the first set of images, they are obviously different boxes.

Let me spell it out for you. Stop stealing images from Google search to sell items you most likely do not own. If you do own said items take your own pictures. Oh yeah and good job reassuring us by posting a 2nd image time stamped almost 2 years ago.

Yeah but will sellers have the option to NOT accept PayPal and only accept direct checkout via this service? Right now eBay allows sellers to have their own CC check-out service but unless you do enough sales to make it worth it, paying monthly subscriptions cost too much. If eBay is fronting the bill for the processing fee and we actually pay less fees ($2.9% +.30 per transaction for PP in US). I would be happy to not accept PayPal down the road. I already hate them and would love a way to kick them to the curb.

I'm curious about one thing. Is this not the same kit that people were pissed off over because as some point it was only available for purchase by Gametech and he was charging $250 each for them.

I got the same email and was like I have no clue who the hell they are but anyone has to be better than PayPal. I as well see this as biting eBay in the ass for THEM not us. Any competition is good and not having PayPal's stick it in your ass policies will make selling on eBay a better experience. Right because I was wrong? My initial post that started this all was me saying the cpu and ppu chips can be removed easily in a few minutes. The ONLY other thing I mentioned in here was me saying a $125 for this kit is overpriced and if those two things makes me picking fights and pissing around well then GUILTY! I did just remove the cpu and it took me 1 minute and 45 seconds to do the desoldering and then the chip fell out in my hand. I did record it but don't want you guys to hammer me over my dirty clothes I forgot that was in the area so I'm not posting it. I'll do another one for you if it is that important. As far as your labor goes $50 to remove two chips is absolutely absurd for 5 minutes of work. If you can't do it in 5 minutes that's not my problem. Anyone reading this thread. You ship me your pcb (to save on shipping) and send me $5 plus return shipping and I will cleanly and neatly remove these two chips from your pcb for you. I will even return those chips in neat plastic u-channel as I have shit tons. You should ship it in an antistatic bag, just so I don't have someone telling me I am now encouraging people to fry their boards.

Yes desoldering 2 chips with a Hakko FR-300 IS EASY and if it is not easy for you w/that tool then well you kind of suck at what you do. I'm not letting you put words in my mouth no matter how many times you try to regurgitate the same shit you keep spitting out. Would it be easy for someone to remove ANY chip w/out proper tools, no and I never said it was. Don't come in a conversation where I disagree with someone that using a desoldering gun doesn't make quick work of removing chips when it damn well does! Then try and tell me I said the chips can be easily removed via any method because that is NOT what I said and you damn well know it. So now what are you arguing? Cost of Labor? Cost of Kit? Split it up buddy. I have different opinions on them all. Annnnndddd folks this is half the problem. READING Comprehension. This statement was made soley in regard to removing the PPU and CPU chips NOT the entire install. KEEP Reading! SEE. Now this is the ONLY thing I was harping on over price. The kit NOT the install. I never said in this thread what anybody charges for labor was a high price.

I'm not paying $1000 for game just as I am not paying $1000 for a phone or $400 to play nes games. I personally view playing retro games on newer TV's inferior to CRT overall. I'm not trolling you, your products just don't appeal to me is all. What would be more appealing to me is a new TV w/the capabilities to output all older systems perfectly and have light gun support. Spending $100's modding multiple consoles so they can partially work as intended on newer TV's is not my cup of tea.

No my comment was made in regards to this statement. I do find it funny you have done you say 30 of these kits and choose to not to buy equipment that is best for the job. I know for a fact using bulb suckers and such is a high risk of popping traces and damaging chips. If I was forking out $125 for a kit to be installed on a $100 nes which was going to cost me $100+ in labor I would prefer the person use the appropriate tools for the job.

I don't have a vendetta against you I just think these prices are absurd. When you sell something to play 30 year old games for more than a brand new console cost that just shouts to me overpriced. However it is only my opinion. You obviously have people appreciate what you do, I'm just not one of them. Before I spend this kind of money I would keep playing on a CRT.
