  1. Well you don't know how much shipping as for him unless you live in Ohio. I am in NY and it shows me $41.33 for shipping so odds are he probably paid more than $26 in shipping. On a side note how is he going to make any money off that lot by spending damn near $400. I doubt he bought that just to resell. If he did, we need to have a talk about proper flipping LOL.
  2. Does it give any advantage over using an RF to composite adapter?
  3. I suggest getting a nice CRT TV instead, but that's just me. Especially if you want to be able to play zapper games. I personally do not understand the desire to do expensive mods just to get a CRT image on a newer TV that can't even process a light gun. I guess extra TV's and weight of them is enough to bring forth this desire.

  5. I purchased mine in I want to say end of July/August 2015 and I used it very little and it was less than 2 months later the heater failed on me. I sent it back to Hakko fully under warranty and they fixed it. I have been using the same gun now for over 2 years. I have replaced most rubber gaskets and the diaphragm inside as well as tips. Overall I can't complain too much. I was pissed shorty after I first got it and turned it on and it didn't heat up when it was so new, but it was fully under warranty and they paid shipping to them and back to me. I did create a topic on maintenance on this for new users. Me never having anything like this before I was not at all informed on upkeep and such. However that had nothing to do w/the heater failing so fast.
  6. This was the parts system I just used. I was going to toss it but decided I should at least take the cpu off it. Would you like me to record a video for you to show just how hard it is to remove a simple chip? I didn't even care if I damaged this board but when you have good equipment it makes stuff clean and easy. ...
  7. Just get a free CRT and play the games perfectly and be done with it!
  8. Sorry but you are wrong. I literally just desoldered two PPU chips not even a month ago for a front loading nes system that had a bad PPU and swapped with a parts system. My hakko fr-300 literally removed the chips in like a minute or two. There is nothing special about removing those chips. Now desoldering Jaguar roms is a pita and even those can be removed in a few minutes as well. This is why he is selling them for like $100+ profit on each. If you are thirsting to death a bottle of water is worth $100 as well, so does that mean people should charge $100 for a bottle of water just because people feel it is worth it? I guess that's why Apple can charge $70 for a battery that cost them $.25 because it is worth it. I wish people would stop paying greed and we would all be better off.
  9. How much do you pay someone for a couple minutes of work? However this install is a bit more than just swapping two 40 pin chips. What's more mind boggling to me is paying someone $125 for a pcb and kit that probably only cost about $5. Ya ya his time to design and put it together. I know its worth a billion $$.
  10. I just looked at it and it is slightly confusing. I would imagine unless the item says "complete" or list certain disc numbers such as the FF games that means there is no disc at all.
  11. You can ask whatever you want. The problem is you don't tell people what you want! I'm not trolling you I'm trying to help you. Asking a price and not telling people whether shipping is extra is poor selling practices and just annoying. FYI This lot is far from overpriced. Systems are getting a good $60 shipped all day w/nothing. This lot has modded controllers, refurbished paddles, phono connector, and games. The current bid is more than fair. If it was not fair it would not have bids.
  12. Good job answering questions. LOL Dude WTF is your price???? We still do not know. Is it $50 shipped or $50 PLUS shipping. In all seriousness you suck at selling.
  13. If that is a shipped price. If He wants $20 more to ship it then it is not.
  14. LOL NO, just ask it be moved. Don't start another thread.
  15. I already tried telling him in his dreamcast listing he needs to let people know that information on all his listings. It really makes a big difference on systems as they cost so much to ship.
  16. I know others have been getting irritated about people not using the correct sub forums. ...
  17. Wrong, I am getting over $100 PLUS shipping for a console that only needs to have the bottom changed if chips bother someone that much. Obviously the smiley escaped your realm of sarcasm. For what it is worth I generally get at least $150 for these lots when I sell them. The money is due to the time it takes to mod the controllers, refurbish the paddles, and go through the system to make sure it works well. I am happy w/the price, but I will be happier with more Hmmm looks like someone created an account just today to bid on my listing. Insurance and signature confirmation will be my friend.
  18. You quoted me so I know you read what I wrote. It's kind of hard to sell something as real when it says reproduction on it.
  19. You should make a specific price for the modding that is a flat rate and then charge whatever shipping will be. I live in NY so practically everything I sell of any weight has to be sold w/calculated shipping. Even if I can drop it in a flat rate box, shipping to say Ohio may be cheaper than a flat rate at times. The only things I can really figure on the same cost everywhere is first class. Many times I will figure a flat rate box price in and if someone close to me buys and it is cheaper to do priority non flat rate then I save a few bucks. I always just put priority then I have the option of whether to use a flat rate or not.
  20. For stuffing art inside a plastic box just about any lb paper would work. I personally hate anything in those clear cases. I need a heavier weight to support a real box. I really don't understand especially for genesis why someone would buy a clear case instead of the black generic ones that actually look similar to the real deal. I know the generic genesis cases don't fit 32x games so I can somewhat see the clear ones for that purpose.
  21. Less than 3 days, don't wait till the end, we need to see those bids early
  22. Just look LOL. https://www.ebay.com/itm/50-SNES-Trays-Super-Nintendo-Reproduction-Tray-Inserts-White-Box-Lot/161740726367?hash=item25a87fa05f:g:Rp0AAOSwPcVVhsGh
  23. Hmmm, looking up bitbox led me to stone age gamer in which he recommends a 50lb paper. I checked that site and they have an 88lb matte and a 96lb glossy. I have been looking around forever for a thick enough paper to print nes/snes game boxes out of. I now have samples on the way The paper is not cheap though and for like 11x14 which I believe is what I would need it is for the matte it is $63.82 for 50 and the glossy appears to only be available in 11x17 at $32.79 for 20 sheets. In order to offer boxes at a reasonable price I could make it so the customer has to cut out the box themselves, we'll see.
  24. Your wish is 90% there. I am huge collector and have a huge collection. I gave up collecting sealed like 8 years ago or so because the h-seams on nes games were almost perfectly spot on. 3 years ago I had my major meltdown over reproductions and it basically killed the hobby for me. It was nice to collect back when it was a fun experience. Now it isn't. I see people who look over labels with black lights and shit to determine if it is real or not. Sorry not worth it to me. I have a nice collection but I don't worry about expanding it much these days and I have zero interest in buying anything that is worth a lot. I can print Gamecube inserts practically perfect compared to the original and I'm not even trying to fake it. My Genesis inserts practically look better than the originals. Take someone who wants to sell fake as real and has good equipment and forget it. When it comes to things like boxes, manuals, labels. There is very little you can do to tell if they are fake or original these days. The only thing people have going for them now is mask roms vs eproms and hell maybe someone already faked those as well and we don't know it. There is no game these days worth more to me than a reproduction. If what I am buying is likely fake anyhow I might as well save my money. There is a reason why you see so many collectors selling there collection. I have sold most of my high end stuff. I may sell the rest of what is worth money as well. We know the crash is coming.
