Thanks for this tip... I checked my disks again and this actually got Zeppelin (Synapse) to work perfectly! I checked all other disks and none were sticky but they still all got me a boot error as soon as the disk started to boot (attempted to boot). If it matters, I'm using an Indus GT drive. These are all original disks (no copies). I'll just gather all of the "boot error" disks and see if anyone on eBay wants to try there luck with them... the listing will show all testing that was done so there's no one being mislead... if anyone on here has interest, I can provide a list of the disks and you can just cover the shipping costs. Thanks to all that have checked in on this one Roger

Anyone know? I got a large lot of disks from a collector that had an 800 and I've found a number of games so far that give me boot errors when trying to load... I know that there's a translator program out there but I am more curious about a list of incompatible games. Thank you, Roger Some examples: Pogo Joe, King Arthur's Heir, etc.

Before I take the plunge and get one of these for gaming, can you use them with present day LCD monitors? If I'm not mistaken, the cable/connector is the same Thanks, Roger

Found the problem... I was on COM2 and I needed to be on COM1. Works like a champ now... some of my ATR's aren't working but at least the connection is there... Thank you, Roger

When I try to "Run Hardware Configuration Wizard" my Windows XP computer freezes up and all I can do is a hard reboot!?! I have my SIO2PC (serial) cable connected, I turn on my 800XL, click next... and NOTHING happens (except for everything freezing up). Any thoughts? Thanks, Roger

Did you get the A800 on eBay from a seller named birdlegs? stevem That's exactly what I was thinking
-
I saw with 20 minutes to go, it went up to $30... looks like it ended at $67. Based on what's in that lot, do you think that was a good deal? Just curious. I was just trying to help anyone that was looking for one of these drives... I stumbled across the lot over the weekend. Not sure if the guy knew what he had... Roger

I really wanted to get this for myself by since I can't, I thought I'd post it in the Atari 8-bit forum. The Percom disk drive is barely mentioned in the auction listing but you can clearly see it in the pic. I thought these were pretty rare so I wanted an AA member to possibly get it. Only $5 bucks shipping too Again, just trying to help here... about an hour to go and the high bid is only $18.50. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 170621563839 Roger
