1986 if I remember correctly... -
HP Omnibook 900 laptop computer 4 - batteries 2 - (24x) CD ROM drives (external) 1 - 3.5" floppy drive (external) 1 - OEM AC charger 1 - Buffalo PCMCIA wireless card 4 - floppy disks of assorted Omnibook software 1 - HP external drive sleeve Originally had Win98 loaded on it but it currently has Windows 2000 Professional installed. Microsoft Office is also installed. I can connect to the internet with the wireless card. The batteries are charged... their lifespans vary. All three external drives have been tested and work fine. The four floppy disks came with the lot but I don't really know what they can do. Please see all pictures and ask with any and all questions. $50 plus shipping from 80138. Thank you!

A bunch of PC ads from December 6, 1994
dafivehole replied to Flojomojo's topic in Classic Computing Discussion
I used to go to the Soft Warehouse too. I loved that store... I heard that they had to change their name because of some other company with the same name suing them. Once they turned into CompUSA and started growing, I was hooked. I remember waiting in my car for a computer they had in their Black Friday ad in '93. I was like #2 or 3 in the store and I thought I had won the lottery! -

A nice vintage MS-DOS IBM PC game lot with a rare "generic" Sierra Game Manual (that covers MS-DOS, Amiga and Mac). ALL disks have been tested with my 3.5" floppy drive and they were ALL legible. The Conquests of the Longbow disks are dated 1991 and the Sea Rogue disks are dated 1992. The Game Manual is odd in that it doesn't mention that it's for any specific game... it just shows "How To" steps. It's dated 1992 on the rear cover. $10 plus shipping from 80138. Thank you! -
SoftDisk 1987 Rare No.68 - NEW - $10 Looks like it's brand new. The stickers haven't even been applied on the disks. Some slight yellowing of the plastic cover (see picture). Great overall shape. Copy II Plus 7.4 Disk for Apple II Plus, Apple IIe, IIC, IIGS plus an older disk - $10 Great overall shape. I have no Apple II to test them. Plus Media Mail shipping from 80138. Thank you!

What is your retro computing most "irrational want?"

I actually bought mine at Dilliards (the department store) in the late 80's. They were practically giving them away -

dafivehole replied to swlovinist's topic in Dedicated Systems
Has anyone purchased these? Just trying to see what the quality and ease of install is like: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Pre-cut-decals-for-vintage-electronic-coleco-tabletop-mini-arcade-donkey-kong/182359283466?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Price seems a bit steep... sadly I only need two of these stickers for my Donkey Kong game. Thank you -

Fire in the Valley is a really good read... they (very loosely) made into a movie, The Pirates of Silicon Valley.
