  1. Went to a local Flea this morning. Very light turnout for a Mother's Day but found this lot for $13.00
  2. I've been looking for Seaman with the mic! ..would you be interested in selling me your seaman? Dude, I about feel out of my chair when i read that.
  3. If i recall correct the atari ST was loved by the music industry for it's midi sound. So it not that obvious that the amiga has better sound. The amiga on the other end found his way into the video editing business. She. Amiga is a female, Amigo is a male.
  4. Computers in general had soul back then. I remember our local Computer Show had hundreds of vendors, and all the Computer SIGS were there showing off their hardware. You had demos, hardware hacks, programming, and so on. You had TI-99's, C64's, Amiga's, Atari's, and everyone was passionate about their computer. Go to a computer show now and it's all crap imported junk from vendors who really don't know what they sell or care. The music in the demos were awesome, not only in composition, but how well they matched the demo itself. I really miss those days.
  5. Just installed a Super Denise and now have full ECS! Cowabunga!
  6. Made it out of the house Tuesday and hit a couple of thrifts. Nothing great but a few NES filler titles: All were $3.00 each, Dick Tracy The Karate Kid Top Gun Wheel of Fortune: Family Edition And a Super Marioworld for $2.00
  7. Yes, you have a 68000 machine. WHDLoad is funny that way on some games though. Likes to see an 020 or better. And yes, AmigaOS knows how to deal with accelerators, just sometimes, setpatch in startup-sequence may need to be amended or some other driver if your card is *real* special. lol (usually not though) Hey Shepda, here's a capture of my A2000 with the VXL030 installed: Nice, and yes I can smell the rubber! God I love hardware..... I love the look of the big box 2000, but am torn on the wedge 500. I remember when they came out, God they were sexy and looked like a C128 on steroids. I wanted one in the worst way.
  8. Here are a couple of pics of the C= setup. Both of my Comies are in my Ham Radio room.
  9. Here are a couple shots of my "Hot Rod".
  10. Well the old gal is just about finished, Since getting her I have found some hardware to upgrade her and get a little zoom under the hood. So far: A2000 with a Mega-Midget Racer 68030 @ 25Mhz and 2MB RAM, Supra Ram card with 8MB RAM, GVP HD controller with 2MB RAM, 250MB external SCSI ZIP drive, 1GB internal SCSI HD, Plextor 6X internal SCSI CD-ROM, upgraded the Agnus to a 8372A 1Meg ECS. Just need to upgrade the Denise to ECS, and maybe a video card.... This has been fun and surprisingly cheap.
  11. Another Craigslist jackpot! Found an ad for an Amiga 500 with hard drive, mouse, and software. Got it for $40. The case of the 500 is broke but said to be in working condition. What all came with it is just astounding! A500 with PS and mouse GVP Series II Hard Drive. Not sure if there's RAM in yet or not. External floppy drive Extra Amiga\Atari mouse Atari joystick Tons (at least 200 disks) of loose floppies Boxed software includes 6 AD&D titles by SSI, COMPLETE! About 6 misc. titles complete and boxed OS 2.1 with all the manuals It feels like Christmas morning. :-)
  12. Yeah, the drive in the A500, and most of the slim floppy drives are drop in replacements. Just have to make sure they are set to D0. The only issue is some of the eject buttons don't clear enough, this can be fixed or just use a good pencil eraser. Dan
  13. Ok, so I'm off work for a couple of weeks for medical reasons. I need some rest and relaxation, what better way than to get out my old Commodore setup and see if she still runs. So I have done just that and to my surprise it still does! My old line-up is: C-128D C-1571 C-1581 C-1902 Also found an old Super Snapshot V4 cartridge and a ton of disks. The C-1581 had a bum drive but I had an old Amiga drive that works just fine, I do have to figure a way to make the eject button longer but for now that's not an issue. All is in A1 condition except for the 128D's keyboard is a nice orange color but I can live with that. She look pretty next to the A-2000! I'll post some pictures later. Now I have a bunch of other Commodore stuff to get rid of and I test it all. I really do need to clean up my old C= stuff. Glad I did not act rash and shit can this stuff.......
  14. Well we have a cold and blustery day Sunday so the Flea Markets were pretty much bare. Did find for the NES: Skate or Die, and Flight of the Intruder for $2.00 each. Also found a nice copy of the Super NES Strategy guide for $1.00 hope foe better weather next week.
  15. Hello, I'm looking for a reasonably priced 030 accelerator for my Amiga A2000. I can't afford the crazy prices on ePaythruTheNose. :-) If you got something and can help out, please let me know. Thanks, Dan
  16. The local Flea Markets had their opening weekend and we had great weather! Lot's of vendors but sadly light on good deals. There were lot's of the normal PS1, and PS2 systems and over priced X-Box setups with tons of sports titles. I did manage to dig around and find a few good gems. Found an unopened Nintendo 64 Tilt Pak Rumble and Motion Sensing Pak for $2.00. This will stay unopened and on the wall. :-) Found at one vendor: Ninja Gaiden, Demon Sword, and Cave Man Games, for $6.50. At another spot I found Hydlide, Xexys, and Trog for $5.00 Total spent $13.50. Not bad for the first weekend I guess. Still was unhappy to not see one 2600 game or system, and a big lack of the other Atari systems. It's early, I have faith.
  17. Man I hit the jackpot today, found a complete in the box Atari 2600 wireless joystick set for $14.99 Box is fair, but it even comes with the instructions! :-)
  18. Made a trip to a couple of my local stores and picked up a few things: Filler titles for my NES collection, these were $1 a piece: Fester's Quest Dynowarz NES Open Time Lord Life Force Track & Field II Side Pocket These were $.50 each: The Chessmaster Bandi Golf And the find of the day was Impossible Mission for the Atari 7800 for $1.95.
  19. God of War: Ghost of Sparta on the PSP. Another awesome port to the PSP.
  20. My favorite local game store posted on their Facebook page yesterday that a fresh batch of 2600 games came into the store. Today I stopped by at lunch and scored the following for $15.69: Star Wars: Death Star Battle. Label torn. Plaque Attack. Good label. Surround. Good label. Alien, 20th Century Fox. Good label. Fantastic Voyage, 20th Century Fox. Good label. Karate, Froggo Games. Good label. It pays to support your local store!
  21. Dude, I forgot how smoking hot she was. What were we talking about???? Does it really matter? It was between her and samantha from bewitched. I think I made a good choice. Genie, Samantha, Ginger, Mary-Ann, and the girls from Petticoat Junction. Growing up in the 60's - 70's was good!
  22. Dude, I forgot how smoking hot she was. What were we talking about????
