  1. Looks like theres a lot of stuff out there! Thatks for all your replys so fast! I automaticly chose the joystick because my entire collection is a 2600 JR, 35 games, and a single joystick. A keypad would probably be more compfortable. Thanks for the link! Looks like fun. I don't have any emulators set up, whats the soundtrack like? (I'll probablyget an emulator and try it right now eventhough I asked). It probably wouldn't be too hard to modify it with some iconic rock sounds converted to that classic 2600 sound, giving proper credit to the origional creators of corse. Maby I'll take a look at that this weekend (and then give up after I realize its too hard). Thanks everyone!
  2. Journey escape isn't a particularly amazing game, but just hearing the 2600 blast out a nice version of 'Don't Stop Believing' is enough to make it one of my favorites. My idea for a homebrew game (Because I know there aren't enough of these ideas floating around) is for a nice guitar hero clone. It could have a control system similar to the ipod and mobile versions of the game, maby a simple 3 colors, replace the fret buttons with the joystick, and use the fire button to strum. It could have a variety of 8-bit rock songs (Maby based on ringtones, or it couldn't be too hard to make them from scratch). If anyone could pull this off it would instantly become one of my favorites. I don't really know a whole lot about the capabilities of the system, but i think it could be pulled off it the graphics were simple enough. I also don't know for sure if this has been done before, I saw something on youtube, but I couldn't find anything beyond that. Thanks for reading this, and what do you think?
  3. I might be a fan but my 2600JR only came with a joystick. Anyone got a spare paddle ?
  4. Cool, mine is a rarity 4. I have the second one. Thanks!
  5. I started collecting Atari games this past Christmas, and today I'm going through my pile of carts to check the rarities. When I got to Pole Position, two popped up. One was a rarity 2, the other a "Pole Posit'n" rarity 4. I figured I has the rarity 2, but with only 35 carts and a whole day off i decided to check the cart scans. They didn't match up. My cart has the top label of the "Pole Posit'n" cart, with the front label of the rarity 2. Here's my question: Do I have a super rare cart worth millions of dollars? The picture doesn't want to upload. It looks exactly like the Pole Posit'n cart, with the full Pole Position written on the smaller lable. Thanks.
  6. Bought mine along with 20 other 2600 games for a buck each at Value Village. That doesn't help you much, I just wanted to brag . I just started collecting and was pretty excited to find them.
