No, nothing like that, this is the only 80's computer I own.

I don't have much for the TI yet, just starting getting stuff for it. What are you thinking for trade?
-
Sounds like a neat idea, how about "Escape from the TI of Doom". or just "TI of Doom". Could also make a Tunnels of Doom version. have to find all the parts of ti 99/4a in order to type in the code to escape.
-
I know it's a long shot, but wondering if anyone has an extra one they wouldn't mind parting with? If so, let me know. Thank you.
-
have to plug it in using the cassette cable, would be nice if you could just crank it up, though.
-
I'm using my phone Galaxy S4, and a program called JetAudio Basic, turn all the way up and move the EQ all the way up, loads programs just like a tape player.
-
Ok figured it out a bit easier, used TI99Dir and copied the files out, then used cs1er to convert to wav.
-
thank you, I'll try that out. Guess I could have asked too if anyone had those TOD files in FOAD or wav too. oops.
-
I don't have a problem loading the wav files, just need to get a dsk to foad so I can convert to wav.
-
Yeah, it's basic for now.

Got some more stuff for my TI, Got the much needed Speech Synthesizer, extended basic, the cassette cable, and of course Tunnels of Doom. Can load programs through my phone (took a couple of hours to set it up right, but it works now) only thing I can't figure out is how to get files from a dsk image to foad so I can change them to wav, I have a couple of TOD disks from ftp://ftp.whtech.com/ and used tiimagetool.jar on them, but I extracted the files from them and they don't work, I do have pennies and quest already, just want to try some of the other ones. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

And it is the 81 motherboard, not the 2.2 one, so it's not "Buffalo Bill" from Silence of the Lambs either. -

Here is my set to get me started back in the world of the TI -
thank you for the welcome, like the look of the HDX, will have to keep my eye on that one, also like the looks of the nano-PEB all in one and nice and small. Defiantly enjoying the memories so far, something simple as the beep when you "Press Any Key to Begin" just makes me smile. I'm on my way now to post picture of my new (old) system.
-
thank you for your reply, I'll look into those, some only seem available once in awhile. I just picked up a small set with some games connected to my TV with an RCA cable with all the other systems (2600, NES, SNES, TG16, Genesis, 3D0, Saturn... it's getting quite crowded) Next I'll probably pick up the Speech Synthesizer and a few more games and Extended Basic. P.S. I watched some of your videos on youtube, good info there, thank you for sharing them.

The 99/4a was my first computer in late 81 or early 82, had a subscription to 99er magazine and typed in all the programs I could find in there, and played Tunnels of Doom and Parsec and others. Put it away in 84 when family got first PC (8088) and never looked back.... Till about a year ago. Started playing around with Classic99 and WIn99/4a, both great programs by the way. But just wasn't the same, so finally after browsing on ebay the last few weeks I found one and it was delivered today. So many memories coming back. reading a lot on here about how to connect to PC, but mostly older post and doesn't seem to be a lot these days, guess I waited too long huh? Oh well, just wanted to share my excitement. Thanks for reading.

3D on PS3: Who's tried it? The current state?
Fyrebird replied to wood_jl's topic in Sony Playstation 3
I bought the PS TV a month after it came out, paid the $499 for it, then 4 days later dropped to $299... ooops... Oh well, have had it for almost 3 years now and haven't had any issues, don't use the 3D a lot, but it's a nice TV for what it is. best game I played on it was Super Stardust HD, the 3D really makes a difference, it came with Motorstorm Apocalypse . watched Transformers Dark of the Moon and Resident Evil Afterlife in 3D, think the 3D would have been better if the TV was a bit bigger, the speakers do suck, and that horrible "woofer" in the back... had to buy a sound bar for it. if you buy a the newer PS3 Remote, it works. it's nice for regular TV/Gaming/Movies too. Just get a soundbar, or some speakers...... -
The way he's swinging that mallet, I think he's just jealous that the Atari is more powerful than he is.....
-
Here is my collection, been growing it for a couple of years now..... Have 206 games total for all the systems I own. also have light guns for most of them and arcade sticks. just thought I'd share. have a 2600 too, but it's away at the moment.

YouTube SHOUTOUTS - Watch These Shows!
Fyrebird replied to Metal Jesus's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I like a lot of the different retro game shows but Metal Jesus Rocks... Metal and Games, doesn't get any better than that.
