  1. I have officially given up. My final attempt i got around 102,000. This game is frustrating me now. lol That's a sign telling me i need to quit before i break something.
  2. I tried one more time and once again i got somewhere around 101,000. When i got to 100,000 points i only had 10 lives left and that doesn't cut it. Had trouble again getting those extra lives early.
  3. That was actually my problem the last 2 attempts, i didn't get as many free lives before 90K as i did when i got the 103,000. I kept slipping up and dying from stuff. If it isn't the Jelly Fish, it's getting a cheap death when you go after the shark's tail and you seem to hit more towards the middle of the shark even though it looked like All Fin to me. I don't know how many times i get trapped between a shark and a larger fish. I felt like if i had just a few more extra lives this time i could of gotten real close to tying you.
  4. Excellent dude. I can try again if my wrist stops hurting. I gotta get this before the weekend gets here. I may not have time after Tomorrow. I'm doing worse each time i play. This time i got 101,000. I'm almost Shark Sharked out. I might try again. But i may have to call it quits for now if i don't get it soon.

  7. I am just an amateur, but i'll see if i can help. I have heard that the circuit pad inside the controller can wear out. First thing i would do is take it apart and make sure everything is clean. This next one was a tip someone told me about Colecovision controller but don't see why it wouldn't work for an Intellivision controller. The spring that sits under the disc can get worn out too, and was told stretching it a little can add the tension back.
  8. I got about 102,000 this last attempt. I didn't do my best either. My wrist is hurting bad today. I'm getting old lol. All those years of playing games and playing on the computer and even my job has taken a toll on my wrist.
  9. Damn dude. WTF. I hope it's not a glitch in the game. I'll give it a try tomorrow and see what i can do. Didn't get around to playing it today.
  10. I thought i was still killing the Shark at 90k, but i just had to take a nibble and run, take a nibble and run. But i'm not 100% sure. Need to play it again to make sure.
  11. Looks like we got a race. Gonna have to see what i can do tomorrow. Nice job dude.
  12. Awesome dude, totally awesome. The competition is getting fierce now. I need to play some more and see if i can improve any. Haven't played since i got that score.
  13. I was checking out the Twin Galaxies site recently, and their setting for submitting scores on Burgertime is using the Slow setting. Ouch. I also thought the medium speed for the contest was too slow, i couldn't imagine using the slow setting. lol
  14. Ah, I believe it. You done great so far in this Intellivision HSC. This game should be no acception. This game for me, is the easiest so far of HSC. That is untill 90,000. I had about 30 lives untill I hit the 90k then they start to "float" away. Demon Attack on the other hand was "hell" for me! Hitting the 6,000 mark on that one, and I called it a "job well done" and quit my torture there. Same here, had a hard time with Demon Attack and Beauty & the Beast. I actually thought all these years i was damn good at B&TB, that was until this challenge and seen i was really an amateur lol. My only 2 good games have been Burgertime and Shark! Shark! so far. Can't wait to see how i compare at other games.
  15. You mean EA games on the CDX? I have the same problem. Never did find a solution. But i did have a long discussion here about it. They made me think it was just my console. http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=135188
  16. How much does it go for loose? Nobody even bid on this one. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 370354923424
  17. Sorry lol I've known this game inside out since i was a kid. It just took a few games to shake 20 years of rust off. Oh goodie... I'm not gonna get passed 100,000. Someone give me a break, I only owned/played this game since middle of March 2010. LOL. But cparsley is inching ever closer at 79,000... give it a week he'll get there. 90,000 is too fast to keep killing the shark but at 100,000 I see it's not even possible to nibble the tail anymore. TWIN GALAXIES scores are 110,000 for 1st and 2nd.. and 3rd is like 92,400. http://www.twingalaxies.com/index.aspx?c=22&pi=19&gi=1489&vi=1208 Your doing great dude. Especially for only playing it for less than a month. Your giving me a run for my money. I didn't know i was close to the world record. Wow lol. I bet if played just a tad better i could take it.
  18. Sorry lol I've known this game inside out since i was a kid. It just took a few games to shake 20 years of rust off.
  19. 103,200 I got lucky and got like over 50 extra lives early in the game. After i hit 100,000 i recorded the last few minutes of the game. It got obscenely difficult. if you thought the Shark was fast at 90,000 you ain't seen nothing yet lol. It may impossible to kill him after 100,000. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYibrDCrCmE
  20. Well, i tried to do something different. I was gonna attempt to spice up the competition and post a video submission (not even sure if that's allowed). I was gonna try and improve on my score but i didn't make it. But if you want to watch it anyway here it is. If anything maybe it will get more people interested in playing. Or it could help people out.
  21. That is correct. The manual says you can kill the Lobster and Crabs when they are falling. But i'm almost 100% positive you can kill them on the way up too. Just make sure your a size 4 or 5.
  22. The manual says you get an extra life for every Shark, Crab or Lobster you kill. And there is one more way to get an extra life. Normally for every 1,000 points you grow a size, but after you get to the biggest size (size 5) you can't grow anymore so it will then award you with a free life for every 1,000 after. So you can an obscene amount of lives like Astrosmash. But the game gets so difficult after a while it is easy to lose those lives 1 after another. But you do get more points for nibbling the Sharks tale at size 5 so that may explain how i got a couple extra lives so quick in my video when i nibbled his tale.
  23. I used to own that as a kid. Had a lot of fun with it. If i wasn't dead broke i'd be interested.
