I myself do not have any modding skills whatsoever but i'm just throwing this out there anyway for anybody who is interested. I decided to mess around and see if any of my controllers would work on my Model 2 Intellivision or if they had any response what so ever. I only tried 3. The Atari Joystick had no response at all. The SMS pad also no response. But my newly acquired Nes pad which was modded to work on an Atari 7800 had some interesting results. I tested it using Burgertime. It actually responded, but all the directions were mixed up. Down was Up, Left was Right, Up was Left, and Right was Down. Also the A button also worked for the pepper. So i wonder if it is possible to make some sort of minor adjustment to the controller to fix the directions. That would be pretty damn cool using an Nes pad for select Intellivision games. I was using a Genesis Controller Extender with the end shaved down, because the Nes Controller nor the Extender will fit in the controller port. But you could simply shave down the end of whatever controller you used. I have never hated the Intellivision Controller like some people. But i will admit that certain games like Burgetime would be so much easier to control with a Dpad. My Nes controller made a world of difference on Burgertime on the Colecovision.

Having a Problem with my Burgertime Cart
IntellivisionDude replied to IntellivisionDude's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Does the Mattel Prototype ROM has this problem too ? Maybe this version is not corrupted? I didn't know anything about that. Did Mattel's programmers make Burgertime for Coleco? I hope i'm not giving you incorrect information. But i just recently heard of this version myself. I am under the impression that it was never released officially and is just a unreleased prototype. But roms exist. Here is a youtube of it. -

That would be awesome. I want to get Beef Drop soon. It's at the top of my want list. But a non buggy Coleco version would be totally awesome too. -

Having a Problem with my Burgertime Cart

Well i guess that explains everything. lol I guess it's just random when it happens. Espicially since the record holder for Burgertime (using actual hardware) on TwinGalaxies is over 1 million points. That's a long time playing with no glitching. -
Painted? Astrosmash label
IntellivisionDude replied to Philflound's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
For some reason this topic gave me this Deja Vu feeling, like i think i may have owned a painted on label when i was a kid. But all those games were sold and lost forever unfortunately. But i'm almost positive i had one, just not sure for which Intellivision game. -

I know this is an Intellivision section and not a Colecovision, but i thought i'd share this anyway. This is my playthrough of Burgertime for the Colecovision and kicking butt setting a personal record. Since i'm already good at the Intellivision version i caught on quick. This was only maybe my 3rd or 4th time playing this version. But Burgertime is Burgertime. I was using my NES/7800 modded controller, it is so smooth and precise to control with. I couldn't do half this good with the Colecovision controller(and i tried). http://www.youtube.com/my_playlists?p=B4AA6CE0AFA1E27B -

I have a youtube channel also with more than just Intellivision stuff, please check it out. http://www.youtube.com/misterintellivision I vouch for his videos. He's got some good stuff. Not sure if you know this misterintellivision, but one of main reasons i started doing videos was from watching yours. It gave me the inspiration for wanting to do my own videos. I just love doing videos and spreading the joy of Intellivision. And getting Burgertimed in the process. lol How much you want for that Stonix? -

Having a Problem with my Burgertime Cart

Just did another run through. And this time i eliminated something else from the equation. I forgot that i was using a Genesis Controller extender. Now i'm still not 100% sure if that was the culprit but i just did a long play through still using the Nes controller and it didn't reset this time. I got farther this time than i did the first time. (i think i miss quoted how far i got the first time. I forgot there are only 6 boards instead of 7 like on the Intellivision, i probably only got to 14 or 15 first time). One thing that makes me think it was the extender is that when i'm using it, the Nes controller won't work unless i plug it in after i chose the skill level on the second controller, then i have to plug it in real quick. Without the extender i can have the controller plugged before hand. Maybe i found the culprit, maybe i just got lucky. But i'm Burgetimed out for now. lol If anybody is interested, i just recording the playthrough i just did for my Youtube channel. I will be uploading it sometime later today. I'm mainly an Intellivision guy but the Colecovision is starting to grow on me. http://www.youtube.com/user/IntellivisionDude -

Having a Problem with my Burgertime Cart
IntellivisionDude replied to IntellivisionDude's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Using the Colecovision controller i could only get to level 9. I have a hard time using it. My hand is cramped. It didn't reset this time. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't eventually. So i still don't know if it's the controller, the cart, or the system. I have tried using a Sega Master System pad but it doesn't respond right. When i push up sometimes it will go up and sometimes it won't. Sometimes it will go left or right instead. But it works wonderful on Centipede. Go figure. -
Having a Problem with my Burgertime Cart
IntellivisionDude replied to IntellivisionDude's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Just did another attempt at it and this time after i dropped the last bun on level 8 the game froze and went to a strange black screen. Tomorrow i'll try using the actual Colecovision controller and see if it makes a difference. Not sure if i can get as far using it. This attempt was without the roller controller attached but i was still using my Nes controller. -

I did some searching and i found this. http://www.maniacworld.com/game_console_history/Colecovision.htm#13.2 Now i'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff so i have no idea if this has anything to do with my problem or not. Mine didn't reset to the level select screen but the title screen. But i wonder if there is a possibility that the combination of using my Nes/7800 controller and the controllers going through the roller controller has anything to do with it? Just a thought. Just trying to get to the bottom of this. I'd hate for this to happen again if i get real far into the game again. That controller is the only one i like using for Burgertime. It's super precise. -
My game glitched on me i think. I was on a roll. Had over 200,000 points. I lost track of what level i was on, but i flipped it twice so it might of been level 17 or 18. And when i went over the last bun to end the level the game ended and jumped to the title screen. I was so mad. I was using my Modded Nes/7800 controller if that makes a difference. But would a controller cause that? or maybe my game is glitched? The game doesn't have an end does it?

INTV- New limited edition collector carts coming?
IntellivisionDude replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I tried this on your recommendation, and only made it thru Level 14 before I wanted to toss it in the Recycle Bin. For starters, Game Factory games just suck. Plain old suck. Okay, with that aside, lets get to the good and bad of this... Good: INTV levels (1-6, 14) were done nicely (WITH THE EXCEPTION of level 5, see cons) The "created" levels were actually decently thought out. I give kudos to the designer for this. It's freakin' BurgerTime! Cons: For a game that is "based on INTV Burgertime", there is no reason to MESS up a level design of an original INTV level. Case in point is level 5, the middle platform does NOT break up halfway down the platform. The speed timing is off, The chef is set to run too slow compared to the enemies, so that normal patterns have absolutely no way to work here. Don't try to bun off a piece at the beginning of the level like you can do in INTV BurgerTime here, or you'll be dead. Sacralegic level designs, having three EGGS on a level? Anyone playing BurgerTime know regardless of the format, there's ONLY 1 EGG per level, any additional up enemies are filled in with pickles, not additional eggs. Speaking of enemies, it could of been cool to bring additional enemies in the game, if they didnt want all hot dogs/pickles. The graphics from say Diner could of been lifted as easy as BT was to allowed the Mug 'o Root Beer, the banana etc to be used as well, allowing additional enemy patterns to be available, as they were in psudo-3D layout when they were on the INTV. The Collision Detection here just sucked. Many times the game registered death of the chef, but still said the bun completed and dropped it with the baddies on it. In addition, there were times the pepper turned the baddies into being frozen, but ALSO killed the chef too. (WTF!) The game also squished enemies below who were on the ladder (and not underneath, and dropped enemies on level when they were ABOVE the bun piece. The only Pause is between levels??? Come on, any GameFactory game can pause... I didn't try out the internet version of the game, maybe that might make it rather interesting, but as a solo-play it was a bust. I may go and recode an INTV BurgerTime to include new levels playable right on the INTV platform, instead of game factory... off to coding I go  -
