  1. I know this is an Intellivision section and not a Colecovision, but i thought i'd share this anyway. This is my playthrough of Burgertime for the Colecovision and kicking butt setting a personal record. Since i'm already good at the Intellivision version i caught on quick. This was only maybe my 3rd or 4th time playing this version. But Burgertime is Burgertime. I was using my NES/7800 modded controller, it is so smooth and precise to control with. I couldn't do half this good with the Colecovision controller(and i tried).

  2. keep the vids coming,dude

hhhmmm....i wonder if intellivisionman is taken on youtube :P

I have a youtube channel also with more than just Intellivision stuff, please check it out.

I vouch for his videos. He's got some good stuff.

Not sure if you know this misterintellivision, but one of main reasons i started doing videos was from watching yours. It gave me the inspiration for wanting to do my own videos. I just love doing videos and spreading the joy of Intellivision. And getting Burgertimed in the process. lol

How much you want for that Stonix? :lust:

  3. Just did another run through. And this time i eliminated something else from the equation. I forgot that i was using a Genesis Controller extender. Now i'm still not 100% sure if that was the culprit but i just did a long play through still using the Nes controller and it didn't reset this time. I got farther this time than i did the first time. (i think i miss quoted how far i got the first time. I forgot there are only 6 boards instead of 7 like on the Intellivision, i probably only got to 14 or 15 first time).

One thing that makes me think it was the extender is that when i'm using it, the Nes controller won't work unless i plug it in after i chose the skill level on the second controller, then i have to plug it in real quick. Without the extender i can have the controller plugged before hand.

Maybe i found the culprit, maybe i just got lucky. But i'm Burgetimed out for now. lol

If anybody is interested, i just recording the playthrough i just did for my Youtube channel. I will be uploading it sometime later today. I'm mainly an Intellivision guy but the Colecovision is starting to grow on me. :lust:

  4. Using the Colecovision controller i could only get to level 9. I have a hard time using it. My hand is cramped. It didn't reset this time. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't eventually.

So i still don't know if it's the controller, the cart, or the system.

I have tried using a Sega Master System pad but it doesn't respond right. When i push up sometimes it will go up and sometimes it won't. Sometimes it will go left or right instead. But it works wonderful on Centipede. Go figure.

  5. Question & Answer

Q: Uhh, why are you selling this game for $9,000?! If you type World Class Track Meet into the search field on ebay, you'll notice EVERYONE else is selling theirs for $12. The reason other people were able to sell their game for $9,000 was because their game is Stadium Events, the game you advertised that works with the Stadium Events pad. If you had the pad, I can understand selling this at a higher price... Do you have the pad to use it with?? But anyway, I don't believe you'll get any bids until you drop it at least $8,950. Mar-13-10

A: No pad...sorry. But just for kicks, even though there is a Make Offer button, I lowered the price as per your suggestion. Thanks, J.R.

He lowered his price to $8,950

I am not taking the guys side or knocking him. But i do believe he's doing it for charity. There is a link to his auctions on this site here. But then again he should clarify that in the auction description.

  6. Just did another attempt at it and this time after i dropped the last bun on level 8 the game froze and went to a strange black screen. Tomorrow i'll try using the actual Colecovision controller and see if it makes a difference. Not sure if i can get as far using it.

This attempt was without the roller controller attached but i was still using my Nes controller.

  7. I did some searching and i found this.

    http://www.maniacworld.com/game_console_history/Colecovision.htm#13.2

Now i'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff so i have no idea if this has anything to do with my problem or not. Mine didn't reset to the level select screen but the title screen. But i wonder if there is a possibility that the combination of using my Nes/7800 controller and the controllers going through the roller controller has anything to do with it? Just a thought.

Just trying to get to the bottom of this. I'd hate for this to happen again if i get real far into the game again. That controller is the only one i like using for Burgertime. It's super precise.

  8. My game glitched on me i think.

I was on a roll. Had over 200,000 points. I lost track of what level i was on, but i flipped it twice so it might of been level 17 or 18. And when i went over the last bun to end the level the game ended and jumped to the title screen. I was so mad.

I was using my Modded Nes/7800 controller if that makes a difference. But would a controller cause that? or maybe my game is glitched? The game doesn't have an end does it?

  9.

Here is what i'd like to see. An updated version of Burgertime with extra levels like the game here. I wish this game was on an Intellivision Cart. I hate playing games with the keyboard.

    http://www.yoyogames.com/games/6571#

I tried this on your recommendation, and only made it thru Level 14 before I wanted to toss it in the Recycle Bin.

For starters, Game Factory games just suck. Plain old suck.

Okay, with that aside, lets get to the good and bad of this...

    Good:

INTV levels (1-6, 14) were done nicely (WITH THE EXCEPTION of level 5, see cons)

The "created" levels were actually decently thought out. I give kudos to the designer for this.

    It's freakin' BurgerTime!

    Cons:

For a game that is "based on INTV Burgertime", there is no reason to MESS up a level design of an original INTV level. Case in point is level 5, the middle platform does NOT break up halfway down the platform.

The speed timing is off, The chef is set to run too slow compared to the enemies, so that normal patterns have absolutely no way to work here. Don't try to bun off a piece at the beginning of the level like you can do in INTV BurgerTime here, or you'll be dead.

Sacralegic level designs, having three EGGS on a level? Anyone playing BurgerTime know regardless of the format, there's ONLY 1 EGG per level, any additional up enemies are filled in with pickles, not additional eggs.

Speaking of enemies, it could of been cool to bring additional enemies in the game, if they didnt want all hot dogs/pickles. The graphics from say Diner could of been lifted as easy as BT was to allowed the Mug 'o Root Beer, the banana etc to be used as well, allowing additional enemy patterns to be available, as they were in psudo-3D layout when they were on the INTV.

The Collision Detection here just sucked. Many times the game registered death of the chef, but still said the bun completed and dropped it with the baddies on it. In addition, there were times the pepper turned the baddies into being frozen, but ALSO killed the chef too. (WTF!) The game also squished enemies below who were on the ladder (and not underneath, and dropped enemies on level when they were ABOVE the bun piece.

The only Pause is between levels??? Come on, any GameFactory game can pause... :(

I didn't try out the internet version of the game, maybe that might make it rather interesting, but as a solo-play it was a bust.

I may go and recode an INTV BurgerTime to include new levels playable right on the INTV platform, instead of game factory... off to coding I go :)

  10. rgw825,you are off to a good start.i remember the infancy of my collection.i had a blast when i first started on 2006.i was buying gmes like crazy and then it slowed down as i started collecting the rarer ones.ahh good times.

    Thanks.

There's only a couple games i really really want. Body Slam and Super Pro Decathlon. The rest i'm in no hurry to get. From here on out, i'll just buy the occasional game here and there of what i don't have. I don't have money for the rarer games anyway. Maybe next years tax check. lol

  11. Wow, my mouth is drooling.

My collection isn't as nice as yours but i'm proud of it.

This is a video i did recently showing off my loose games. I think only 3 games weren't in the box. Demon Attack, Pac-Man(white label), and locomotion. You only got a quick glimpse of Frogger, Qbert, and Centipede.

And here are my boxed games. The one you can't see is Buzz Bombers
