  1. I should say "Welcome" now but you were already welcome weeks ago congrats! Enjoy your surfing! I´ve never carried a Lynx 1 in my hands. Missed one opportunity to get one with a slight crack in screen tho. I have a few double games by the way. Feel free to PM me if you happen to be interested in Shanghai, Slime World, Rampart, Toki and Crystal Mines II (all carts only).
  2. Mine came from an ebayer from Greece...who did not want to send it to me first after payment! Led into a 1 week long PM convo and I consider it a personal victory It might be easier for you to get Lynx stuff from peopel from this board. As soon as I arrived as "Lynx newbie" here I got a PM by a longtime AA member offering me his doublets for a good price (better than ebay). The rest I got from the atari-shop in Holland and from the homebrew makers directly ^^ Until I was at that point I must have read the entire Lynx section here and on TAT! I enjoy reading stuff, it feels like preparing a holiday.
  3. You can get a Lynx 2 for around 40 Euro or less in Europe and possibly/likely cheaper in the US, so come on, get one [Or sell the PSP Vita and get 7 Lynx!]
  4. Well with emulation you can at least check out whether the console portfolio (of commercial games) is your thing or not. I know I have. Only with emulation I have learnt that the Wonderswan game portfolio is nothing for me but Lynx and Neo Geo Pocket would be what I wanted so I was looking for them. Insterestingly, only AFTER having gotten a Lynx I have registered here I´m glad there is an active HB scene. Even if sports games are not exactly my thing (and therefore last year I missed a good opportunity to get Relief Pitcher, with now I regret a little), the arcade, fighting games and board game homebrew projects are making me impatient to see them on real hardware, hopefully soon this year
  5. Aah you are right, thanks. Shame. The (from TAT) downloadable 3D demos (same but different stages of development) were among the first things I have tried on the flashcard / Handy / LynGoo and I think one of them is also on the S.I.M.I.S card.
  6. Wasn´t he programming and publishing Championship Rally for Songbird then, maybe focussing on that leaving the 3D project behind?
  7. I see your choice of name as a good marketing gag Will you possibly make a green pcb?
  8. I agree, it´s one of my favourites and a Lynx-must have since it´s one of a kind. Great gameplay, too. When I got it I was really happy and played it for hours that afternoon. I think I wrote a bit about my impressions last year in my "Lynx Newbie" thread from September 2010. Carl Forhan from Songbird (he wrote the missions and did the cutscenes, the rest was inherited/bought from the Battlewheels-programmers) is a longtime member here and wished me goo dluck There are still 2 missions I have not accomplished yet.
  9. I´m glad that I have it. As you know it is very common. But I play it very very very little. it´s the biggest IF-game for the Lynx that I know (IF it were easier. IF I could make any progress) I find myself quickly exchanging this cart for Ninja Gaiden and beat baddie with success for a change :;D
  10. Thank you for these insights, Ninjabba. I have no idea about programming at all but I have always considered it a par to writing a book as far as work hours, dedication and the willingness to being corrected throughout any stages of the writing are concerned. But 14 hours, wow. Great. It´s more than I thought. As a mere reader of forum posts and comments, I have only watched a few homebrews being talked about that were in the make and I think very high of the spirit of hobbyists who keep a classic system alive.
  11. "Croakie"? Looks great, matashen & 108Stars. Looks like the Dream Team is at it again
  12. I´m hearing about "Evolution" for the first time. and I thought I have visited almost all sites about the Lynx. Is there a chance you can upload it or is it still intended to be released on a cart some time?
  13. 220. Only. Almost embarrassed to post I know I was better in late 2010 and will certainly try again, this is fun
  14. Wow. He really must have smashed EVERY window, kicked down EVERY pedestrian, every dustbin and hit EVERY aim in the parcours at the end of the day, and not failed to have delivered every single paper, plus won a few more abonnennts. I usually run out of papers sometimes in the middle of a track or crash against parcours obstacles, as a result of which the parcours is over, and I don´t think I´ve won a new customer at all but instead lost 1 or 2 each day. Such a shame when you come to a customer and have no more papers left because you wanted to kick down all dustbins before lol Still 3 days left but I doubt I can make even those comparatively meagre 4000 more to win back my 1 1/2 weeks January number 1 status lol
  15. I think it´s this: http://www.atariage....twareHintID=331 Thank you for the link to the higher levels of Dirty Larry, LX.NET Normally I die around level 3 or 4 only. (Too bad there are no "trainer versions" around, since a "Lynx Action Replay" is not existing, and Dirty Larry has no cheats that I know of.) - Beaten (i.e. played through til the end): Lynxopoly Checkered Flag Paperboy (Easy Street) Hotdog Malibu Bikini Volleyball Awesome Golf Road Riot 4WD Hard Drivin´ (automatic shift) Marlboro Go (lol) Nearly beaten: Xybots (end boss killed me) Cybervirus (defeated in 2 levels, still trying without cheat...) [Games I totally fail in (I do not dislike them though, I just could never very far) : Robotron,Hydra,Fidelity Ultimate Chess Challenge,Championship Rallye,Basketbrawl,Ninja Gaiden III, Batman Returns, Shanghai,Toki]
  16. A Gamegear would likely have no more sound or a weak screen (dying capacitors). In contrast to this, a Gameboy and a Lynx age well. The carts do either. Your biggest fear should be gigantic spiders
  17. (Word of warning: Under all accounts take a screenshot before submitting "end" after entering your highscore name! It won´t turn up again by itself - unless you play another not so bad game again in the same level!) I was in the right mood - just made my week through Easy Street
  18. Loopz has already been a Gameboy Classic game, and likely on many other systems. Slime World I have recently found on Sega, via emulation. Exclusive are the homebrews Lynxopoly, Yastuna 1, Yastuna 2, Pokermania, Championship Rallye, Remnant. CyberVirus is also unique, and fantastic. ^^Pokermania seems to be much like the Gamegear "Solitaire Poker" - I have not had this one yet Also the recently found Hotdog platformer. Best unique games IMO are Blue Lightning, Electrocop, Lynxopoly, Cybervirus and Warbirds
