  1. He said he´s on an out-off-state trip til Friday.
  2. Almost 5 months now that I´ve been waiting
  3. Seems atari_fan so far is the only one whose EOTB parcels have made the ocean hop. I envy you. Now would be a great time for this, soon the summer holidays will be over
  4. Too bad noone of you lucky guys posts a mouthwatering gameplay review..
  5. "All paid orders before the 18th", he said. Which would be next Monday.
  6. Thank you for all your work, Eric. I´ll be out on holiday from 16-24 July so timewise it is pretty good
  7. Allright, will do so in a few minutes And sorry to hear about your "doctor troubles".
  8. I thought you would be editing names out off list 1 out. That´s how I understand this...or are we on list 2 expected to send the 80 $ already, without knowing whether anyone of us on list 2 will definitely be in on list 1 ? I am waiting for your definite "ok" to us in the replacement list, meaning, as soon as when I see my nick in list one, I´ll go to PAyPal, not before
  9. Tempest2k will be happy to hear this, he´s number 2 Great So as soon as I hop onto the list no.1 on above which I hope is the definite "list of the first 50", I´ll be "happy" to PayPal you
  10. I know I wouldn´t mind finding an open slot in list no. 1. Do it alphabetically "atari_afternoon" in front of errr "ZZ Top" LOL Anyway, awaiting the developments. Please keep us posted to lower your PM flood
  11. If you in turn buy one of the two books book I helped to illustrate
  12. Like! (please note one little typo in CV text)
  13. Yes but, sorry, other than taking it apart for dusting off the lense, it appears (thankfully!) few people have had the need for electronic repairs. Doesn´t AtariAge have the circuit boards for the Lynxes posted at its Lynx section? Not in the forum but on the AA website that lists all Lynx stuff?
  14. Doom convinced me I needed one. Also Doom 2. And it´s fantastic three Sonic platformers. And the two Advance Wars - time wasters par excellence. And Activision Anthology, fantastic Atari emulation. Wings, too - great WW 1 shooting 3D and isometric game. Last long time faves, Mario Kart and WarioWare. So, Doom and Wings won me over. Only played Doom earlier this evening on the GB Micro.
  15. I would not have gotten into Lynx playing. Thank you, AtariAge Moneywise, maybe 300 Euro. That´s mainly due to the homebrew games (which ALL rock). The Lynx itself I got for about 20 with shipping.
  16. Played it a little while last night. I don´t qualify for nothing here still not finished level 2 even! EDIT June 26. And also yesterday. Stuck in the high 20,000 only so far
  17. That copy wouldn´t work on the Lynx though. Physical game cartridge copies are not existing. So you do not have to be afraid you could buy a fake game because there aren´t any. Not because of the high morale of first generation Lynx gamers but because of the limited market for them. Anyway, opinions are divided what Handy is there for. PFG9000 explained its use, I said what I think about it and you disagree. That´s fine. I have no intention to have this develop into any sort of argument.
  18. You can´t copy games anyway like you could with computer games so this misunderstanding of yours is pointless anyway. It´s like discussing or demanding "Why does the Lynx have no touchscreen?"
  19. I used emulation to get to know the Lynx games that even less than a year ago were totally unfamiliar to me. However, as noted, gameplay on a computer is much different than on original hardware. It has to be more than the "aah, only emulation..." factor. Games that I at first thought suck :shame: play absolutely fantastic on the Lynx (Rampage, Ms. Pac-Man). So, a good way to test what´s on the market to check out and to test the gameplay. A few minutes usually and you know "I´d like to get this."
  20. Confirmed. Yes, there will be another batch. I'm thinking around AUG or SEP. Thanks-good to know a soon as payment is needed for one of batch 2, please notify in thread or PM. Personally I´m a gamer and only secondarily a collector. Means, boxes are not important to me, sure, I keep them but a loose cart is as fine to me loking forward to what the owners of one of batch 1 have to say about gameplay and long-time fun
  21. A very few of these do not fit properly into the Lynx I unless you manage to dissolve the protective thingy over the game slot, which the Lynx II doesn´t have.
  22. Gamer. I want all the games I´m interested in, do not strive for a complete collection (I sold the very few duds I had) nor do I care especially for them boing boxed or not, I only need the cartridges (tho of course I never throw boxes away). So right now there are just two games left (four, at most) that I really really want and have already ordered them resp. hopefully am on the list From a completist´s point of view I have stopped at about 60% of the whole Lynx library.
  23. As usual: saving up lives without too much effort until level 8, then downfall one after another
