Here they are always in the 25-40 Euro region...and ordering from abroad adds much postage so I haven´t gotten an official Lynx case yet, despite everyone who has one being absolutely happy about it. Maybe you are lucky and some Australian collectors are reading this and make you a good offer with shipping via PM, like I had it then when I posted my wish-list.

I´d say a power plug is important, or good NiMH rechargeables if you want to be more mobile and not a bed- or sofa.gamer . I alternate between these two (between power plug and NiMH!). Lemmings you can get pretty cheap from Holland´s Atari Shop. I think I paid 10 or 15 Euros. When I registered anew here less than 4 months ago with a very similarly titled new thread, some very friendly forum people came and offered me doubles from their collections, too About the carrying case, I know no other source than professional ebay dealers. Personally, I use a DVD-carrying case for the Lynx and a shoebox (yes...) for the cartridges, having 2 each in a Gameboy cartridge box (and the 3 games I play least in a GameGear one) . Was thinking of the Songbird wallet-like Lynx card holder for a while though. I bought/traded/swapped games from people/traders/collectors from the UK, US, Netherlands, Greece, France and Germany. There is no regional code or an NTSC/PAL-thingy or similar. Do under no circumstance ignore the homebrew games the three I have belong to my favourites! Took a while of review-reading and mouth-watering to a$$-kick myself but I wouldn´t want to miss Alpine Games or Lynxopoly.

It was SOlaris. When I borrowed it from a friend, I knew that somehow I´d have to save 40 DM to get it myself (that took me a few months)

As soon as someone of you will hopefully have written a short review about Hotdog, I´m bound to get one, too. Because of the Decemer 14th delay, however, I am being busy with Alpine Games at the moment give me a few more weeks and I´m in then!

Things have evolved into some different, unplanned "good occasion!" directions than the above "plans". During the past week I have proudly received Yastuna 1 und Zarlor and Rygar and Viking Child (thanks a gain to The_Laird for the latter two!); Rygar being a definite favourite for me (and proves that when "testing" them before in the emulator, the impression is just a lot different!). I´ve been knowing the NES version (through DS emu) for a while and did not think too high of it before but the Lynx one is a good game. I came across Yastuna just by chance, actually I wanted it only for the TetrisNoid but now I find myself playing Attack more than "Noid" (I find it more of a challenge). Awesome Golf is great if you have a half hour break for the course of 18, usually it´s too long fo me to complete a full course. I would also give Gauntlet a high rating. Played it one full half evening the day I got it. I´d like to turn it 180% down so that the pad is on the bottom and not at the top but it works. Even funnier, Viking Child reminds me a bit of Commander Keen, at least some enemies do. LOL Those were the times!

Necroing this thread, just received my copy of Yastuna 1 and spent a great deal of tonight with it - happy to find your hints on here This was the first text adventure I´ve played since my C64 days. Almost exactly 20 years ago (better late than never). I mainly bought this cartridge for Tetrisnoid Thanks to you programmers, cartridge and manual producers and translators! You´ve done a fantastic job!

Time for another "current status" report I´ve been playing Lynxopoly no doubt for 15-20 hours now; I can really highly recommend it! Waiting for two new (to me) games to arrive this week now, Gauntlet and Awesome Golf; so when if not right now would be the moment for a short 2 1/2 months of Lynx gaming self-reflectional summary? - I use the power plug about 50% of all times; and NiMH rechargeables the other half. This coincides with where I physically am and not with any preference or so. The Lynx is pretty heavy with batteries, sure, but having the cable around takes away all that portable idea IMO, so it´s sometimes batteries, sometimes power plug. - I keep the cartridges in these Gameboy plastic cases; 2 in one fit very well. - Plans include CyberVirus, AlpineGames, Zaku and the Lynx game walletts; since I´d have to order them from the US (exception of AlpineGAmes) I´d better wait until I get it in one big parcel. Would be great for the week after Christmas... - Recently the platformers got so much positive feedback but IMHO, and from what I know from testplaying them with HANDY, I play the ones I have not as often as I´d have thought, so I guess I won´t actively look out for Rygar, VikingChild etc. This is my personal opinion for the time being though. - Absolute long-time (well, 2 1/2 months so far ) HIGHLIGHTS and personal faves include (listed after playtime spent with them): LYNXOPOLY (usually I start with either continuing my current round here or with one of the next.) STEEL TALONS JOUST BATTLEWHEELS BATTLEZONE 2000 CHECKERED FLAG WARBIRDS LEMMINGS PAPERBOY XYBOTS RAMPART BLUE LIGHTNING SHANGHAI PAC-LAND Games that I personally consider mediocre right now appear to be the rest but I haven´t finished yet, the long winter has only started just now All in all I have some 33 games by now. Two sets were ordered from some very friendly people from the forum, all others come from Germany, Netherlands and UK pro dealers (from what I know). Is there a game I really dislike?! Not really. I am disappointed that I fail to solve a single Shanghai puzzle (the GBC Shanghai seems so much easier); I can´t get the hang of Hydra and TurboSub. The only real issue, no surprise, I´m having is the power plug availability hassle, and the need for twelve NiMH rechargeables for longer train or car rides.

I really loved DOOM when it came out. I even bought me a Gameboy Advance SP 4 years ago because I wanted to play it in bed :oops: and I still do! Even tonight I enjoyed a cup of cappucchino and 2 levels of Doom2 - they just play too great on the GBA (Doom) and GB Micro (Doom2). Wolfenstein with headphones on the GB Micro has been an equally "obsession" since two winters ago, I feel this is going to be my third one... ^^all these three games were comparatively rare and expensive here and WOlfenstein is still indexed, I had to get it from the UK. Well my two GBA ones "Atari Anniversiary" and "Activision Anthology" are a California import - they had to hop around half the globe (after having most likely been produced in the far east, so they have made a 3/4 globe jump). I simply had to get them! Only recently I have started with Lynx collecting (I have all the 30-odd games together that I#´ve wantred, except mayne Alpine Games) - this is a serious threat to Doom´ing It´s not an obsession yet but my before-Nintendo-only gaming table is having a full-time Atari mate now. [i hasten to add that 90% of the time I use the DS for playing Stella DS Atari 2600 games. Seriously.]

My two mid-nineties PC favourites, next to Doom, were "Corncob 3D" and "Capture the flag". Both were released as shareware and I had ordered the full versions of them. I know no one else who has played Corncob but I played CTF in turns with my neighbour, that was pretty funny. For GBA, I believe I have spent most time with "Wings". It was rare then and it is rare now but I have played the full WW1 at least 3 times on both sides and still have it. Since I have never had an Amiga, I don´t know that version. Also, from what I have read here, I seem to be the only fan of Atari 2600´s "Reactor". As a kid, I liked it how to place the baits and I didn´t find the maneuvring any harder than in any other game I knew. [All time favourite was Solaris though. Now challenged by Adventure. Well, neither one is "underrated" ] "Diddy Kong Racer", this thread has made me curious now. Anyway, Corncob 3D and Wings, I´m still glad to have them

Car racers definitely. The Lynx´ Checkered Flag I hardly put down this afternoon. And Atari 2600´s "hockey"!

I agree with Lemmings and Xybots but another very catchy tune is the Level 1-1 one of Gordo 106.

I am by far the best with Footbag - as I was about 20 years ago with the 2600 version. Like then, today the BMX game is still my fave. However, I am not beyond the "cool" yet...

And I really like it It´s beautiful, and perfect for your coffee breaks if you are like me: You need just one hand, watch the action, make your moves and bear the consequences The "snake eyes" would make a good avatar Great intro sequence, really nice music, beautiful colours throughout, the table overview is about perfect. Glad you´ve made a board game for the Lynx!

Whoaaah, "Lynxopoly" arrived today :) It´s fantastic! Nice package, too. My first homebrew and surely not my last. Exactly the right game for coffee breaks. I really like the "snake eyes" picture and all the colours generally; the gameboard overview is very good. Really a good Monopoly, and the save functions allows to resume gameplay at the next coffee break. Usually I am holding the mug and only need to push one button every 30 seconds, the rest of time you can watch the action and see the other players (3 others by default) do the action (hindering each others LOL). LOVE IT! Haven´t played more than ca. ninety minutes yet; I may write more. Everyone, have a look at the screenshots matashen has posted somewhere here!
