  1. Thanks for an early Christmas self-present, I hope you are also happy with the games I swapped with your for Poker
  2. Thanks also for the reminder about the Eneloops for people who do not play regularly, normal NiMH rechargeables lose quite a lot of their own charge over the months just lying around, which Eneloops seem to do much less.
  3. Well I just use "normal" 2700 mAh NiMH batteries, from the next best local supermarket (Edeka), plus an inexpensive 25-Euro-single channel control charger (techno line BC 700), they have been doing a fantastic job the past years for Lynx, GameGear, Nomad, radios, GP2X etc
  4. I shouldn´t post when I´m too tired lol Now I get it: You made an own version of Handy, not an own "Alien"-version just for your testees using Handy on Windows
  5. Thank you for the fixed sounds emulator version, GadgetUK EDIT Your link right above is just the "Handy" files of the emulator. But never mind. What I meant above is, the sound of Alien on Pandora-Handy is good, unlike in many other games in this emulator
  6. Runs also fantastic on "Handy" on the Pandora, the sound is just so much better on a real Lynx. I need to admit i still have not managed to reach the aim so far, the Nostromo explodes faster than I can guide my team along. Will try easiest and longest time modes next
  7. I´ve played it on a Lynx2 + flashcard for half an hour this morning, looks and sounds great and haven´t found any issues so far.
  8. Oh yes it works, tried that last year already with Tempest2k. Jack Buck´s comments regarding his player appear on his Lynx and for mine on mine.
  9. Thank you Looking forward to playing it on the flashcart Sunday morning. And I´d like a physical release when it´s ready, too.
  10. Thanks guys for not having given up enhancing this wonderful project looks really great and outstanding on the real Lynx (Hey, and right in the nick of time for the Lynx´ 25th birthday! )
  11. This makes perfect sense to me. Thanks to you guys for the update.
  12. Right in a way, I have a "season" for non-lit handhelds. I like how you describe how you play Lynx in the cabin of your boat. After work, i often go out cycling for an hour or two around the local seas/little lakes, and ultimately, lie down on some meadow and play a bit, mostly a quick puzzler. Normally, it´s the Wonderswan and the Gameboy Pocket that go with me on these occasions....never the Lynx or Gamegear, I´m afraid I find it too hard to see ANYthing there being outside with summer sunlight around, til way after 9 PM these early July days. So, is it worth getting the sunshade? Because in all my normal indoor gaming places, too, it is simply not so comfortable / too bright on an uncloudy summer day (which are rare lol) even indoors well before ca. 8:30 PM these days for "serious" Lynx/Gamegear gaming...I´d really have to close the curtains because of the reflections.
  13. Winter : bed. Summer: sofa. Almost never outside (for retro outside, I rather like the non-lit handhelds).
  14. Hydra looks so good but the controls are just not made for me, I never got along with steering it for longer than ten consecutive seconds, unfortunately. I wanted to like it but it doesn´t like me
  15. Thank you for this only discovered this days ago (in emulation) and somehow I got hooked on the TI-99 version of Moon Patrol
  16. I think it lies better in the hands than the Lynx 2. Other than that, the cartridge slot and that auto shut-off are the only disadvantages that I can see. It is a lovely piece of hardware I wish they were not so rare.
  17. This is going to be a fascinating game, please don´t abandon this old project of yours
  18. Just be warned, it is 1 level and without sound - but works well as appetizer
  19. You will enjoy the cart Just about to test karri´s new homebrew with it...
  20. @ lx.net, I usually spend next to nothing other than constantly buying as much "slow energy loss" as possible. because this is what has prevented me 3 or 4 times now from finishing it: I was out of money right before the end, where I am forced to upgrade like no good I am convinced this game is doable, it is not hard even to get til almost the end but I´ve just f.cked it up again
